Secret Resurfaces

Global Innovation's headquarters stood tall and sleek, its modern architecture a testament to the company's cutting-edge approach. The building's façade gleamed with a silver-gray finish, its windows reflecting the bustling cityscape of Willowdale. As you entered, the lobby's minimalist design and futuristic decor exuded an air of innovation and sophistication.

Ascending to the top floor, is Sophia's office, adorned with sleek wood paneling and floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic view of the city. The director's spacious workspace was tastefully furnished, with a polished mahogany desk and ergonomic chair. Framed awards and recognition lined the walls, testifying to Sophia's exceptional leadership.

Global Innovation was a Martin family legacy, founded by Raphael's visionary father. Now, as CEO, Raphael continued to drive the company forward, pushing the boundaries of technological advancements.

As the director of Global Innovation, Sophia was known for her sharp mind, strategic thinking, and no-nonsense attitude. She was a woman who commanded control and exuded confidence. But on this particular day, Sophia's composure was about to be shaken to it's core.

Sophia, a woman in her late 30s with sharp features and piercing green eyes, sat behind her desk, her gaze fixed on a sleek tablet displaying a stream data. Her raven-black hair was pulled back into a tight bun, as she analyze the data, her eyes narrowed, her mind racing with the implications. Suddenly, her assistant, a soft spoken lady named Alicia, knocked on the door, entering with a discreet nod. "Ma'am, Ms Johnson is here to see you."

Sophia's eyes flicked up, a hint of curiosity crossing her face. "Send her in, Alicia."

Ms Johnson entered in, her eyes blazing with a mix of desperation and urgency. "Sophia, I need to show you something!"

Sophia looked up from her tablet, her expression calm but her eyes narrowing slightly. "What are you doing here, Ms Johnson? You know we can't be seen together if not for work, and I didn't sent for you, come only when I send for you... I'm busy."

Ms Johnson ignored the warning, her breath coming in short gasps. "It's about Lyra... Or at least, it's about someone who looks just like her."

She pulled out her android phone from her pocket and slammed it on Sophia's desk. "See for yourself."

Sophia's eyes widened as she look at the picture of Lyra, her heart racing with shock and disbelief. "What is this?" she demanded, her voice low and even.

Ms Johnson's eyes gleamed with urgency and shock. "I was browsing about the famous restaurant, the taste of heaven restaurant that handled the catering service for Sm company's event, I also went there to eat and I really love the taste of their food and hospitality, so I wanted to leave a review on their website and guess what, Lyra's face surfaced as the owner of Taste of heaven restaurant, I...I .."

"I thought we'd taken care of Lyra six years ago, how can you bring up this matter again?" Sophia's face remained impassive, but her mind raced with the implications.

She had thought they'd buried their secret deep enough, but now... now it seemed their evil deed has come to haunt them.

Sophia's eyes remained fixed on the image, her expression unreadable. "Where did you find this?" she asked, her voice low and even, but with a hint of menace.

Ms. Johnson's eyes never left Sophia's face. "I told you, I was browsing the Taste of Heaven website. And there she was, Lyra, or at least, someone who looks exactly like her."

Sophia's gaze narrowed. "You expect me to believe that? After all these years, you expect me to believe that Lyra is alive and running a restaurant?"

Ms. Johnson's voice trembled. "I don't know what to believe, Sophia. But I know what I saw. And I know that we can't ignore this."

Sophia's eyes flashed with anger. "Ignore it? You think we can just ignore it? You think we can just pretend that we didn't see this?"

Ms. Johnson took a step back, her eyes wide with fear. "Sophia, please. We need to talk about this. We need to figure out what's going on."

Sophia's laughter was cold and mirthless. "Talk about it? You want to talk about it? After what we did, you want to talk about it?"

The air in the room seemed to thicken, the tension between them palpable. Sophia's eyes never left Ms. Johnson's face, her gaze piercing and cold. Ms. Johnson's eyes were wide with fear, her breath coming in short gasps.

"We need to take care of this, Ms. Johnson," Sophia said, her voice low and menacing. "We need to take care of this, once and for all."

On a second thought, Sophia doubted that Kyra was Lyra, recalling the immediate harmful effects of that syringe which they had injected in Lyra's body that night. "I don't believe that this is Kyra, I thought that syringe was enough to kill her, how could she have survived it?"

Ms. Johnson's eyes narrowed, her voice laced with skepticism. "You're right, Sophia. I thought the same thing. But what if... what if she somehow managed to survive? What if she's been in hiding all these years, waiting for the perfect moment to strike?"

Sophia's expression remained doubtful. "It's been six years, Ms. Johnson. If Lyra was alive, we would have seen some sign of her by now. She wouldn't have just disappeared without a trace."

Ms. Johnson's eyes gleamed with determination. "That's exactly what I'm saying, Sophia. We need to investigate this further. We need to find out if this Kyra is indeed Lyra, and what she's been doing all these years."

Sophia's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with the implications. She knew that Ms. Johnson was right. They couldn't just ignore this. They needed to get to the bottom of it, no matter how dangerous it might be.

"Fine," Sophia said finally, her voice firm. "Let's investigate. But we need to be careful. If Lyra is indeed alive, we don't know what she's capable of."
