The Survey

They walked through the woods and arrived at a huge clearing in the forest that seemed to expand for miles into the distance. 

"This is the site." Edward said and looked at his watch. "The committee in charge would be here anytime soon to take you to where they are working on right now." He said and glanced at his watch again.

"Incompetence and unpunctuality." Kain said and looked at his own watch. "They are meant to be here to welcome us right before we arrive." He grunted. He then looked ahead and noticed a cloud of dust headed their way.

"I believe that is them." He said looking at Edward.

"Yes, the site is so big that they had to transport dune jumpers to the site for ease of movement." He said.

"That explains all the smoke." Esmeralda commented and watched the vehicle drive into view. The dune jumper stopped a few feet from them and four individuals all male, came out of the vehicle and walked up to the group.
