CHAPTER 41

Asher hobbles his way into his house soaked with rain,he collapse onto his seat and broke into a sob.

if only he had arrived at time,his dad wouldn't have corrupt her mind."Only if I wasn't late".

He picked up a love card which read.'Your a little cockroach that had crept it's way into my heart and capture it.just kidding you aren't a cockroach' .Asher chuckled. "Idiot".He muttered. He read another.'It only takes a second for someone to catch your eyes but it takes a while for a person special to capture your heart and it's you.I love you my narcissist Asher'.He broke into a low laugh and let the card fall to the floor.

He stood up and walked towards the dinning table and put the foods into flasks and put it into his fridge. He frozed as he caught sight of a love cake that wrote' I LOVE YOU'.He puff.

Only if his father hadn't come,perhaps Trina was supposed to be here in his arm.

Trina and Gowon headed to the college.

Trina groans nonstop.

"Gosh!my head hurt,I'll never drink again".She rub her temple. "Aaa-".

"Oh!please shut up, it's just a little hangover, you'll be good in no time".Gowon snaps.

"Whatever. Where is Ted?I didn't see you with him yesterday or today,did you guys fight?".

Gowon shrugged. "I have a rival and I think she's perfect for Ted,she's beautiful, gentle,dress like a princess and rich".Gowon puffs. "And am completely opposite, a gangster, tomboy-".

"Your still pretty Gowon and even if you don't dress like her,you still have a good heart".Trina says as Gowon grins.

Gowon sprang into her arms.

"What would I ever do without you huh?besides why aren't you with Asher?,you know he won't hurt you".Trina nods."Are you still afraid to love?".

"Am not but Alexia would hurt me, I think she still love Asher".They both sigh."Why can't love be so easy".They both muttered.

The bell for class over rings as the student ran out from their class.

Trina stood up and pulled her bag over her shoulder and walked out as Ted approached her."What!".She snaps.

"I....is is Gowon feeling good?".He inquires, toying with his fingers.

"Why don't you call and confirm".She retorts.

"Am planning on surprising her,what should I give to her?"Trina glance at him for a short time and looked away.

She walked around in circle thinking. She clapped her hands as she jumped.

"Band bar-".

"What?".

"Bands bar is performing tonight and she don't have the money to buy a ticket and she loooves their shows.I think you should buy two tickets and reconcile with her,hmm?".Her brows raise high in question.

Ted nods."Thanks Trina".He wrap his hands around her and ran off as she chuckled.

"So shy".She chuckles again and whirl behind her,she suddenly halts on seeing Asher.

His hands buried in his classic vintage trouser,staring down at his feet as he kept walking ,realising who was in front of him, he stops and looked up in her eyes that made her legs weaken.

She could see he didn't get as much sleep as she.

He had dark circles around his dark violet eyes that look as if it wanted to shut down in any moment.

She wished she could take away this pain,she had caused him.She holds her breath and walk past him but he caught her wrist as she shudder underneath his touch.

"My father,he did tell you something right?he threatened you huh?".

"It doesn't really matter".

"Yeah,thanks for what you did yesterday".She looked up at him puzzled.

"What?".

Why was he thanking with a grin on his face when she only caused him pain.

Sensing she was confused, he decided to explain.

"The foods,decoration, love cards and cake .it was so romantic".She chuckled. "Hey!but don't you dare compare me with a cockroach ,they're hideous.He shudder in feign. "Compare me with something amazing like rainbow,oceans, lion, got me".He asked,looking into her eyes with passion that he didn't dare to hide.

She nods."Good".He patted her head and walked away.'At least he knew how she felt for him'.

Trina smiled .it warms her heart to see he wasn't angry at her or even try to ignore her.

"Asher Lee".She sigh."Your such an amazing man to be with"She smiled.

Night at Band's Bar

Gowon walked into the bar dressed in a stylish black jeans and jacket.

She was happy her and Ted had reconciled and surprised her with tickets. She looked around in search of him,her face broke into a smile as she sight him but he was surrounded with his colleagues and Jasmina.

Gowon grits her teeth, seeing how close she sat with her boyfriend. She strode towards them but stops as she eavesdrops on what they were saying.

"So Ted, what kind of girls do you like,Miss Jasmina told me your girlfriend is a tomboy".Rose,his colleague said."What a pity".

"I do like pretty girls, that do dress girly, talk well and well mannered but life match me up with the complete opposite person".Gowon storm off with tears in her eyes."But doesn't mean am not contented with her,I love her so dearly even when she's rebellious".He chuckled.

"Oww!isn't that Gowon".Jasmina says as everyone whirled behind them."Gowon!".She called. Gowon grits her teeth in rage and whirl back.

"What!what are you even doing here huh?".

"Me?".Jasmina laughs. "Ted invited me-".

"I didn't".He chimes in."She insisted and I couldn't say no".Gowon wipe her tears and glared at him.

"It was supposed to be me and you not THEM!!".She roared as everyone stopped whatever they were doing and stared at her.

"She forcefully came and bought it for everyone-".

"Is it so hard to say the word NO!!!!".She screamed."Ever since you worked at that company you never had time for me all you care about is Jasmina,Jasmina this,Jasmina that. JASMINA!!!!".She growled louder this time,tearing up.

"Please Gowon your shouting and people are staring".Ted pleads as he slowly made his way towards her.

"My gosh!is that a boy or a girl?...she dresses like a gangster? .....is that her boyfriend...how can he love someone like her".They murmur but she could still hear them.

"Gowon".She heard Gage call as he past through the crowd to meet her.

He held her arm."Are you okay?Let me take you away from here"He insisted.

"Lets go Gowon".Ted reach for her but she she took two step away from him.

"Are you ashamed of me! Or how I dress or looks or behave, huh?".

"No".

"Lair, Gage take me away please".He nods and glare at Ted.

"Stay away from her,a small boy like you who thinks life is a neverland don't know how to care for Gowon".He said coldly and left with Gowon,leaving Ted alone feeling devastated.
