She had guessed he was talking about Dominus. She mentally palmed her forehead. She had just forgotten Vamurus was also his son.

It's not as if she wished to marry Dominus, but he came off better than the men she had encountered.

"I don't think I can help you with that, Mister," She declared politely.

The man shifted forth on his chair, "Oh, you can, pretty lady. It's actually quite simple. Just come with Vamurus on the day of the wedding, and the rest would be taken care of,"

The way he was gazing at her made her feel nervous. She tossed slowly from her bed. "I need to use the bathroom, please excuse me." She walked at a slow pace so as not to appear suspicious and passed the door. She just hoped he didn't realize the room had a bathroom.

She ran quietly as she left his sight, and climbed down the stairs with haste.

The entrance door came into view and she exited it.
