What Now?

I stepped out of the portal tense looking around the dark forest hoping no one had walked into the woods seeing me exiting the large portal. I relaxed after a few seconds, once confirming no one was in the immediate vicinity. "Well let's go home Laura" I say aloud but don't hear or feel the slightest indication of a response. Mmm strange I wonder why she is being unresponsive, I try to search around in my mind and try to feel for her presence to little avail, only I can feel an ever so slight connection to something in my companion world. Curiosity got the better of me, as far as I know Yami should be the only one in that world, and Laura being an AI should still be in my mind. I decide to take a quick peek to see what's going on, and am bewildered by what I see. Of course I see Yami, asleep under a giant tree in a massive field which is to be expected, what makes me bewildered is that fact that I see and feel a connection to a second dragon that is semi transparent that looks similar to Yami, who is crying what seems to be tears of, joy? If I am reading the emotion correctly. I immediately exit out of the world to give them privacy and to think about the indications of my findings. I immediately run to my house and Into my room, lying on my bed thinking about everything that has happened, my findings in the companion world, and what am I going to do for the future?

Let's start with the things I know I am now a Vampire, I have a leveling and a cultivation system and duel broadswords, I now have my first companion and an AI that doesn't seem like an AI anymore, and is a living transparent dragon, maybe? I promised Yami I would help her get revenge if she so desires. I don't have the slightest idea how strong she is or how strong the current ruler that over through her is. I'll find those two things out once she recovers.

Mmm I wonder since I am now a vampire can I go out in the sun? It was night time when I entered and exited the portal so I have yet to test that out. Will I burn in the sun like the myths, or will my stats be cut in half like a certain other novel that will not be named, or maybe the only thing I'll have to worry about is my skin sparkling like my body is made of millions of tiny prisms layered throughout my body like a certain vampire romance novel that also will not be named.

I look over at my alarm clock sitting on my computer desk that sits in the corner of my room. It shows that it is currently 3:00am and I am amazed that i still feel so full of energy and that i am not tired in the slightest not after killing all those wolfs, nor after traveling to another world and actually using Qi for the first time to pull out the twin blades. I decided I should try to get a bit of sleep even though I am now a Vampire.

Vampires still need sleep right, I sure hope so, sleep, eating, working out and playing video games have been my main forms of escape from the loss of my parents and sister as well as the betrayal of my friends. I try to go to sleep and after 4 hours of trying I am no closer to falling asleep then I was at the beginning. I open my eyes to stare at the texture of my ceiling coming to terms with the fact that now I am a Vampire I no longer need to sleep. I get up and rush to the fridge opening the door to pull out my Digiorno supreme pizza. Hoping I can still at least eat food, and to my dismay the pizza looks absolutely repulsive.

"NOOOO why are you doing this to me cruel world, first you take my family, now my sleep as well as my pizza NOOO MY PRECIOUS. After silently crying about it for 30 minutes, or at least a vampires version of crying as I can no longer produce tears just a slight burning sensation in my eyes. I decide to get over my loses and move on with my life as there is nothing I can do about it.

It's now 7:30am the sun has finally peaked over trees that surround my back yard, it's finally time for me to test to see what happens if I am exposed to the sun. I walk outside to the edge of the shade of my carport, feeling slightly nervous about what is about to happen. I slowly move my finger towards the light prepared to draw it back in at the slightest feeling of pain. My finger inches closer and closer until.... it's touching the light and I feel... fine? I slowly stick my arm out just in case the sun needing to burn me needs a larger percentage of my body to burn. My arm up to my elbow is currently out in direct sun light and there is still no pain nor do I sparkle like my favorite vampire romance suggests. I decide to step fully into the sun having experienced no difference having half my arm in direct sunlight, and nothing happens at all no sparkling, no burning up and my stats aren't halved in sunlight either. This is Great! I can still come out during the day time, as long as I were some sunglasses so no one can see me crimson red irises. I'll just look like a super pale but beautiful man.

I head back in side and sit on the living room couch, and try to figure out how the system I was given works since it seems Laura is currently preoccupied. Mmm don't the people in light novels usually get some type of store? So they can buy varies items to help them out. I mean I got $3,000,000 for my first dungeon and I'm not exactly sure if it will pass for real money. I decide to test this out and think [open store] and immediately a screen pops up show. Showing the cheapest item to the most expensive items and I can go down the page almost indefinitely there are so many different items. The cheapest item I see is for sale for $1 and it greatly surprises me. [Laura's New Body] can be purchased for $1 but I must be at level 50,000 first as well as have a soul cultivation of [Divine Soul Upper Tier]. Mmm how do I cultivate my soul? I mean I know from checking my stat screen that I have an immortal soul at low tier thanks to me becoming a vampire, but how do I cultivate my soul. As I'm thinking about this dilemma a notification pops up.

Mmm I can buy affinities for all 6 elements, I can be a real life Avatar only better since I can get 6 elements instead of 4. But right now I can only afford to purchase 3 elements. I decide to look through some more of the store just to see what else it has before spending my $3,000,000 on elemental affinities.

The store has a wide range of herbs and pills that I have no idea what they are for their pricing ranges from 1,000,000 to 100,000,000 so expensive. Ok let's check out weapons, I see a variety of different weapons such as daggers, swords, broadswords, bow and arrows, scythe, and wands etc.

Speaking of swords I wonder what my (Twin Holy Infinity Broadswords) stats are, I check out what the stats are and there actually really good.

(Twin Holy Infinity Broadswords) each sword can unleash double the attack of the wielder, can be combined for 30 minutes into (Ultimate Holy Infinity Broadsword) for quadruple of wielder's attack power. Has of cool down of 1 hour after combining.

Wow that is so cool, and those are really strong swords, I really got lucky.

I continue to look through the store and notice some particular items,

Indestructible clothing wait, I look down and only now do I realize I'm not wearing a shirt anymore and my shorts and shoes are still soaked in blood from killing all those wolf's. This is going to be a problem. I immediately purchase all 4 items not trying to cry about spending $1,000,000 for a set of clothes and go to take a shower so I can get cleaned up. The outfit looks pretty cool the shoes are white with gold color accents, they look kind of like a Nike Hightop which I really like. The pants are solid white, with a number of zippers going across for extra pockets I presume, the underwear looks more like boxer that have white and black strips. The shirt is very unique it's also white with a golden lion taking a good portion of the front of the shirt and the mask is... interesting... it's a white mask with 2 gold lines going from the top of the face down past the eyes and curves down to the sides just before reaching the bottom of the mask.

Mmm I wonder what I'll need the mask for I might as well wear it since it's part of the set, but first I inspect the attire to see if there is any special bonuses for wearing this set of clothing.

(Indestructible clothing Set) offers no extra protection or stat points it is simply indestructible and will never break, or tear no matter how strong the opponent, this set will also never get dirty.

Wow pretty cool, I put everything on and go to check my reflection in the mirror something strange happens, when I have the mask on my crimson red irises seem to glow and my sclera changes from white to pitch black, giving me a very menacing look. I found out that the mask won't come off unless I verbally speak for it to come off which is good as there is no head band to keep it on and I was wondering how I would get it to stay.

I buy the [Darkness Elemental Affinity (basic)] as well as the [Light Elemental Affinity (basic)] with the remaining $2,000,000 I got from the dungeon. I can start to see particles of light and darkness randomly floating around in the air. So I decide to try and start absorbing them. 24 hours later and I finally get a message saying I have finally upgraded to the medium tier of basic affinity. Wow that took quite a while longer than I expected I can cultivate realms faster than that and I'm not using any sort of technique, well I can't exactly be great and doing everything quickly, now can I author?
