Werewolves

The woman was very scared of the sudden appearance of the skinny creature. In her whole life, she hasn't seen someone other than Dracula hide their breath and presence. This made her panic because the creature in front of her was not a Dracula which leads her to think of a mysterious entity. She have heard that ghosts can hide their breath and presence and was very strong. It is a legend that her mother told her to discipline her as a child whenever she misbehave.

"Are you a ghost?"

She asked in a trembling voice. It's clear she was panicking but what she did instead of running or escaping made Lin Cian surprised. She was holding William with one of her hands. She crossed the other hand in front of William in guarding position as she wanted to protect William. It was Lin Cian who was standing in front of her. He was still holding his dagger because he didn't want to let his guard down in front of a stranger.

Before Lin Cian could say anything they heard a baying sound of William and she turned her face towards William and seemed to recognize something. Then she took away her guard because now she know that the skinny creature and William were accomplices. Then she looked at Lin Cian and slightly bowed her head.

Lin Cian came next to William on the other side of the woman holding him. He 'took one knee' when he neared him.

"Aren't you stupid? Do you have to do this?" asked Lin Cian.

The woman knew what he implies but she didn't let a word out. She chose to be silent as she lowered her head. William made some wolf sounds which made her immediately raise her head towards William's face. She couldn't believe what he meant.

Lin Cian didn't understand a thing but he understood somehow by the reaction of the woman. He looked at William and sighed deeply without taking his stare from William

"Since she is so important to you I don't have an option other than to respect your choice. Don't worry I will make sure to do what I said"

The woman was very shocked by the sudden change in him. She was very scared of him for his cold and deadly stare but his words turned out that he was a sweet person. Then Lin Cian change his gaze towards the woman to which she responded with a smile. She had a heavy heart and teary eyes which showed that she was on the verge of her breakdown. He smiled at her

"Can you please give us a moment?" asked Lin Cian to her in a small voice.

She could see that William's consciousness is fading. She wanted to be with him. But this is not her time to argue because the skinny creature seemed to be William's friend and has spent more time with him.

'They seem to be close' she thought. She smiled at Lin Cian and stood up and moved back a few feet with a heavy heart.

Lin Cian fixed his eyes on William. He wasn't scared of William but felt sad. He made a deep breath and extended his arms towards William's chest. The woman who moved back was alerted and immediately felt the threat because William screamed in pain. Before she could react what she saw froze her in her place.

She saw the river of blood flowing from William's chest is now flowing towards William's wound. It was flowing reversely. Her eyes widened as she saw the scene in front of her. Her jaws dropped because what she saw was unbelievable and unimaginable. William was howling and screaming in pain but Lin Cian never stopped. The woman also didn't stop because she firmly believe that Lin Cian is helping William.

After a few minutes, William's body began to retransform and the woman's eyes widened in joy and surprise. The wound in William's body began to close itself and his form retransformed into a human. William stopped his scream and looked in Lin Cian's eyes thoughtfully for which Lin Cian replied with a smile.

After that William was completely cured physically but his soul strength was depleted. Seeing this the woman's eyes filled with tears of joy but she also felt something is wrong. To his reply, Lin Cian looked at William's face

"Scared? Why should I be scared of you? Do you think I will run away from you because your transformation may scare me? dream on."

William laughed in pain and joy because of his answer. The woman also felt satisfied and she smiled at them.

Lin Cian could feel his consciousness fading away. William's eyes widened and fear occupied his eyes making the woman feel uneasy. She ran towards them, but when she neared them Lin Cian fell to the ground unconsciously. William was very shocked because Lin Cian's nose was bleeding. He was shocked but the next word he heard made him rest at ease.

"He just passed away. Since he is your friend I will take care of him. I will guard you take some rest"

a female voice with utmost care rang towards William for which he smiled and nodded. Then he turned his eyes towards her injury.

"This is not a big deal. It will get healed in minutes" she replied for his stare. He nodded to her and laid down on the ground and closed his eyes.

He had a feeling of satisfaction. He felt that he found a worth protecting in his life.

Werewolves are different from humans and other creatures in finding their pair. They would feel their partner when the time is ripe and only will have feelings for them. They will feel a bond between them naturally and it cannot be forced in any other means.

Even if the heir of the pack felt a bond with the weakling of the pack they will be together without any interference or politics. There are no political marriages between the werewolves. But that also let them wait for their mate to appear. Even a weakling in the pack may become strong after meeting their mate. Maybe some sort of dual cultivation involves in it. But the couple always will be loyal to each other. If one of the partners is dead the other will prefer to die because it is not easy to find a partner who belongs to them. Their wait for years went in vain will make them feel low and let them commit suicide.

But if they found their partner is endangered there will be energy soring throughout their body and they will go into a berserk mode. Which increases their strength multiple folds but it will make their body weak until getting proper rest.

Of course, they abide by the laws of their community but the pairing is considered sacred and not a thing that shall be interfered with by anyone. Even some wolfs may find their partners from different packs, different species of same family and sometimes they are found on different terrains.
