1 The Sweet Siblings

"Where are you?"

A cute and slow-toned voice ranged over the corridors of the castle. It seems like she was searching for her pet behind the huge walls of the castle but there is no response from the other side. She didn't give up but straightly walked to the end of the corridor while calling out for him repeatedly.

An adorable little girl came into the last room of the corridor. Her hair extended to her thighs and was very dark which is similar to charcoal in its black color. The shiny eyes and the two different colored pupils she had were not inferior to any beauties in the country. The right eye had a light hue of golden color while the other one is azure with a silver hue, looked perfect neither too big nor too small.

She had a small and smooth nose which was not the only thing that made her look pretty and the petals of roses were inferior for their charm when compared to her lips. The cute face added her charm with a smooth and round jawline and her skin was very pale as snow yet glossy as if it was made of snow.

She was shorter than a meter in height and neither too fat nor too skinny. Despite her looks, she was only a bit older than 10 years.

"You are here!" She exclaimed with her sweet voice.

"Hmm" came the reply.

The Golden Abyss Continent, Southern Province, River Edge country, Ice Valley town.

The Ice valley town is known for its mysteries and weird legends and it is said that there was a huge mountain behind the town which looked like a bed of flowers and a throne for countless trees. It is also said that there was a huge castle with many treasures at the top of the hill and there live the people of legendary existence. The people of the forest were provided shelter there and every member of the castle is powerful enough to fight a magical beast single-handedly. But legends said that no one can enter the castle until or unless the condition is met and no one knew what the condition is.

In the other words, no one can enter the castle without permission of the castle guarding spirit or something that hides the entrance from the view of others.

Only a few know that the mysterious castle that shelters the people of the forest is not a legend but true. The castle is indeed mysterious but no one can see it because no one shall feel its existence without the pass not to mention entering into it.

The sky above the mountain is a treasure to adore but for some reason on that particular day, the usual brightness couldn't be seen, it was dark instead. The bright flashes of lightning in the sky didn't allow anyone to look at it, and the loud roar of thunder made anyone cover their ears. The sky shed tears that covered the whole ground and blessed the plants and trees with water.

The castle of the forest was indeed very luxurious where it seems to be a lot of people celebrating. Unlike them in the corner of the house, a boy with no sign of celebration shut himself in his room.

He was laying on the bed on his back while both his hands are under his head. He was estimated to be thirteen years old and was a meter tall, wearing not very cheap clothes. His body was pale in color with dark grey-colored hair on his head and the color of his eyebrows was lighter than black but darker than his hair color.

His face was skinny but smooth and pale and the pupils of his eyes were of a silvery-like blue in color which gave a cold and lifeless look. His face is cold as ice, he looked like he has no emotions but his heart expressed it otherwise.

The little girl who entered his room was the seventh daughter of the fourth generation in the Lin Family and the daughter of one of the clan elders, Lin Tamayo.

"Ghost I had a high affinity... mmm... high affinity in spirit energy... eh..... should I be a mage?.... Are be with me?..... Will you be with me in the future?... Will you join me?... are you coming with me.....?" she came near his bed and shot multiple questions at him as her index finger pointed to her chin. She tapped her index finger on her chin in the intervals between her words while thinking about the next question.

She had participated in an awakening ceremony and had awakened a powerful spirit form and she had a high spirit affinity which can make her a mage. The 'awakening ceremony' of the Lin family made the household very lively.

The young man on the bed was staring at the roof without any response: his eyes were cold in sadness.

Lin Tamayo had never seen him be unlively but she noticed the lifeless way her brother was, on his bed.

Brother, yes the little guy who was sad and lifeless Lin Cian, the eldest son of Baron Lin Yasho, the lord of the Lin Clan. He was also the third eldest in the fourth generation.

She got over the bed and dropped herself on her knees near him. She leaned her body and almost fell over him before balancing it by placing her hands on Lin Cain's chest near his shoulder to make a chance for her to bring her face to get near his cold face.

Her lively smile disappeared eventually and placed her hands on either side of him. Her face adopted the looks of her brother in a fraction of a second.

"Brother, what's wrong with you?" a small voice slipped out from her mouth as she tightened her lips.

The little girl asked Cyan with a crisp innocence, seeing her brother staring at her without a word. He made a deep sigh inside and stared at her whose face is just above his pale face.

'I don't want to leave your side. But I don't want you to spend your days with this lame brother. My dear, be strong. I wish I would help you. I wish I would protect you. But I am too weak for that. God knows how will you address me when you see me again and I will never blame you if you don't want to see me again. The world is vast don't miss me.' His mind lingered as he was sinking in his thoughts but he didn't notice the change in her.

A watery substance fell into Lin Cian's cheeks and neck, which made him come back to reality. He turned his gaze towards the source of the watery substance. Because of him not responding to her, the tears flowed onto her chin and dripped on his body.

Lin Cian sighed and stretched his hand to bring it near her face to wipe out her tears but she held his hand in its midway when it neared her face. She laid on her stomach over him crossly as her knees were on his right side on the bed.

"What's wrong with you brother? Are you mad at me" she struggled to say out the words and she was struck before the last words came out of her mouth.

Her brother embraced her and almost whispered "I am not mad towards you"

"Then why are you not answering me?" she asked in an embracing voice while he patted her head realizing his mistake

"I am so sorry. I made you cry. Let's ....." he whispered to make it up but she blushed out and buried her face in his chest and interrupted with her unchanged voice but with a smile and shy

"Can't you say something else?"

"Hmm... what should I say?... Be a good girl, don't give trouble to your brothers, learn well, be kind ..."

"Be generous, don't look for trouble, be careful on the road, don't waste money." She again interfered with him as she raised her head. She uttered with a rising and lowering tone at a little fast pace in a childish and annoying way.

" Brother, I know it; can't you say something different this time?" The little girl rested her hands crossed over his chest as she blew up her cheeks and looked at his face curiously.
