The Main affairs elder explains what happened when the Patriarch was cultivating.

"So, you are saying that many of our spiritualists have their soul force drained, both of my sons were beaten up by a kid and the same kid rose in power and now has influence more than us." Shen Hong says applying pressure on the surrounding.

"Yes" the main affairs elder says while struggling to stand.

"What were you doing? Can't you send our black gold rank practitioners?" Shen Hong asks with rage.

"We wanted to do that but... " the elder says.

"Say it fast." Shen Hong says whith an annoyed face.

"The commoners in the city all support them. The kid Nie Li has close relationship with Young master Chen Linjian and Cit Lord's daughter Ye Ziyun.

Even the Alchemy association has allied with the Jade dragon family. If we were to do something, they all will act.

As the patriarch already knows, the Snow wind family has doubts that we have ties with the dark guild. They are waiting for a chance.

We cannot avoid war with them if we had acted at that time." the elder says.

He then looks at his sister Shen Xiu. He noticed that she wasn't her usual self.

He asks her "Shen Xiu what's wrong? You don't seem happy that I am now a legend rank spiritualist."

"Nothing brother. Congratulations on breaking through. I was just thinking about something. See you later." Shen Xiu says and leaves the Hall.

Shen Hong says to the main affairs elder "Ask someone to keep an eye on her and find out if someone is bothering her."

The elder nods. Shen Xiu is in a dilemma. She doesn't know whom to trust. That's why she hasn't been herself till now.

He then instructs the elder and others present in the hall "Don't let anyone know that I am in legend rank."

"As you say patriarch but, may I ask why." the elder says.

"It still isn't time to bear our fangs. We will plan this and rule the city. Acting without a plan is not good. I still need to get used to this rank, it is a whole another world than the other ranks." Shen Hong says.

They then leave the Hall. The next day, Shen Hong is sitting on his chair in the Hall and thinking about the Jade dragon family.

Then a servant comes to him and says "Patriarch, the family head of Jade dragon family, Nie Li is here to meet you."

"Oh! Escort him in." Shen Hong says.

Nie Li enters the Hall and is followed by two people in black dress and a black mask. They are his clones. They are carrying two boxes.

Nie Li says to Shen Hong "The family head of Jade dragon family Nie Li congratulates the Patriarch for breaking through to Legend rank. I have come here with gifts to congratulate you."

Shen Hong opens his eyes wide. He asks "How do you know? "

"Didn't you almost kill a member of our family yesterday?" Nie Li says.

Shen Hong smiles. "You are exactly as they described you."

"Speak" Shen Hong says.

His father walks up to him. Nie Li was expecting a warm hug or something but his father Nie Ming walks up to him, picks him up by his leg and hold him upside down.

"Father, what are you doing?" Nie Li asks.

Sending people to get us. Can't you come and get us while also explain what is happening." Nie Ming says while hitting his ass.

After beating his ass till Nie Ming's hands start hurting, he drops him down and asks "Now will you explain what is happening? How did you become the family head of a family?"

"I will explain when the time comes. For now, take rest. These houses are all ours.

Pick one you like. I am getting new homes constructed, you guys can go and change anything you like." Nie Li says.

They all settled down and then Nie Li met his family. They had a good meal that night.

After their meal, Nie Yu, Nie Li's sister asks him "Brother, what happened to you? You have changed a lot."

Xiao Yun, Nie Li's mother also asked "Yes.You have changed a lot. What have you been doing?"

"It's due to my new cultivation technique I am practicing. These changes are due to it, even this tail." Nie Li says, showing his tail to them.

Nie Yu starts to play with his tail. Xiao Yun says "It's fine. At least visit us once in awhile so that we know how our son looks."

"What is it?" they ask.

"I like some girls here. I want you guys to come and speak with their parents." Nie Li says.

Xiao Yun starts tearing up. She says to Nie Ming "Dear, our son has already grown up."

"You said girls instead of girl. What does that mean? " his father asks.

"Yes. Since nobles are allowed to have multiple wives. I decided to follow the trend." Nie Li says.

"Nie Li, remember one thing. The greatest man is a husband and if he makes his wife sad, he shouldn't call himself a man." Nie Ming says.

"Yes Yes" Nie Li says. They then talk for a while and slept.

Nie Li slept peacefully for the first time after 90,000. Till now, even if he slept, he slept in such a way that even a small sound would wake him up.

He was alert even in his sleep. That night was the first time he slept without worries.

The next day, at the City Lord's mansion, the city lord Ye Zong was working with some papers.

His eyes showed signs of no sleep. Then a servant enters the room and says "Lord Ye Zong, the family head of Jade dragon family, Nie Li is here to. meet you with his family."

Nie Li, his father, the patriarch of heavenly marks family and some other elders followed the servant to Ye Zong.

Nie Li's father says "I wasn't expecting the City Lord's daughter. You could have at least warned me before so I would come prepared."

The only reason we haven't officially been recognized as one is because I didn't make their cultivation public." Nie Li says.

Nie Hai, the patriarch of heavenly marks family says "Nie Ming, your son is a genius. He managed to do all this by himself.

But, it feels weird that he is the family head whereas, I am. an elder in the family."

"You treated me like thrash after knowing that my talent is below others in the family. If you had treated everyone equally, my father wouldn't be in those clothes and you in nice clothes." Nie Li says.

Nie Hai understood that what Nie Li said was correct. Even if he did it for the family, he still shouldn't have treated him like that.

The elders of the family thought that it would only be waste of resources, if they tried and trained someone without talent.

They were led to a Hall where the city Lord was sitting on a bag chair.

Nie Li and the others greet him. Ye Zong asks "So, what brings the Jade dragon family here?"

Nie Li steps forward and says "I like your daughter and she likes me too. So, I have come here to ask permission for marrying her."

Ye Zong's face turned into an angry face. He shouts in rage "Here I was expecting something important. You have come here for such a thing. If you have nothing else, you can leave."

"Tell me the reason why you are not happy with this." Nie Li says.

"Even the whole city knows that you are roaming with many girls. I can't marry my daughter to a womanizer." Ye Zong says.

"I like them too. I will marry them. Ye Ziyun also knows about this." Nie Li says.

I can't send her to danger myself, and not with a weakling who can't even protect himself." Ye Zong says.

And even if you refuse she has to marry at some point, can you find someone better than me?" Nie Li asks.
