Chapter - 33
Vihaa: Siya!!!!
Me: (Waking up with a jerk) Ye... yeah what happen?
Vihaa: What the hell is this I have been waiting for you for so long, thinking that you will come now but you have not. It's been half an hour since I waited for you but you still haven't come.
Me: (Holding my tongue under my teeth for few seconds) I.. I fall asleep because of exhaustion and just now with your call only I woke up.
Vihaa: Huhhh, well, leave all this get up now and be in front of my house as soon as possible.
Me: (Getting up from the bed) Okay I will be there in the less then ten minutes positively, bye.
Vihaa: Okay bye.
Hearing this I hang up the call, I connected charger to my phone, placed it on the bed side table and then started getting ready. Today, I choose to wear some party wear clothes though, I am going to wear t-shirt and jeans only but it will be a bit glittery today because I am going for a party. After getting dressed, I pick up my wallet, phone and socks then open my room door and start walking towards main house door.
While I was opening the door of the shoe cabinet I hear mother's voice...
Mother: Siya
Me: Yeah (Taking my shoes out)
Mother: Where are you going?
Me: Going out with Vihaa for party. (Tying my shoe lace)
Mother: Okay, have fun.
Saying this she walk away inside the house, I hurriedly tied my shoe lace then open the gate and walk outside. However, before I could take a step ahead aunt come from behind and start speaking...
Aunt: Where are you running off?
Me: I am going out with Vihaa to have some fun and eat food?
Aunt: But where are you going?
Me: (Turning my back towards her and taking a step ahead) I just told you, now I am leaving we will talk later, as I am getting late.
Aunt: Huhh right, when do you have time for me, whenever we meet you are always in a hurry to go somewhere.
Me: (Rolling my eyes) See you later bye.
Saying this I literally ran off, though I can hear her saying something but I choose to ignore it. While walking towards VIhaa's house my mind initiated the conversation...
Mind: Am I a thief?
Me: No. What happen?
Mind: Their questions gives a feeling of interrogation, why to ask so many questions?
Me: Same here bro, I am irritated with this. And I don't understand by what right she is asking me all this. If mother father asks such questions then I can understand but why she is asking and too in a way as if I am in some police station and my investigation is going on.
Mind: Yeah right, It is understandable that she is the daughter of this house, it is also understandable that for some reason she is staying with us but why to interfere so much in ours lives. I don't like her at all.
Me: But we have to tolerate her because according to father we can't hurt her feelings or disrespect her.
Mind: Yeah.
Suddenly, my conversation got interrupted feeling someone shaking me, I look aside to see who did this and there I find Vihaa looking at me with raised eyebrows.
Me: What happen?
Vihaa: You were lost somewhere, is everything alright?
Me: (Smiling) Yeah, lets go. Shall we
Vihaa: (Putting her hand on my shoulder in a way that she is hugging me sideways, with a wide smile on her face) We shall go kiddo.
Though I am someone who is not comfortable with touches easily but don't know how but I never felt uncomfortable her touch.
After this we both settled ourselves in her car and she start driving the car towards our destination. It took us around forty minutes to reach a Chinese restaurant and during the whole drive we hear soothing music. As soon as we reach there, Vihaa start finding an empty spot to park her car. Once the car got parked, we start moving inside the restaurant.
After two minutes or so we settled ourselves on the corner table seat, soon waiter come and take our orders, we ordered spring rolls, Hakka noodles with Manchurian gravy and Choco lava cakes for us. After listing down our order, waiter told us that it will take around fifteen minutes for our food to be ready then he left us alone.
As soon as the waiter left us alone, Vihaa start speaking...
Vihaa: So, how was your day?
Me: (Sighed) Exhausting and tiring.
Vihaa: Why? What happened?
Me: When I reach back home, all of the Aunts with their children's were at home and then for two hours or so, I listened their nonsense talks. They discussed how much good, perfect and intelligent Odin is and rest of the kids of house are just useless.
Vihaa: Typical relative behaviour. But you don't need to feel bad, I know its difficult to handle all of this but one thing keep in mind that I know how much capable you are to be a successful person.
Me: (Not knowing what to say and fidgeting with my fingers) Ohhh but you know its really difficult. I mean I know, I am not an intelligent person. I am an average student, whatever is going on in my house is not letting me to concentrate on my studies properly, but I am trying to be a normal person who just want to live a normal life.
Vihaa: I know and I can understand. You know often we face difficult situations because this is how life is, being an average scorer or not an intelligent person is quite normal. Believe me no one is same, they all have their own lives to live and their own struggles to deal with and this how things work.
Me: Okay but why to compare children's lives?
Vihaa: See, people have a habit of boasting about themselves or things related to them and that's why they do comparing. And they don't think twice that their behaviour or talks can hurt someone's feelings.
Me: Okay.
At this moment only, waiter comes too bringing our food and soon he start arranging it on our table. Once done he walk away and we start devouring our food, it took us around an hour to finish our meal which we done hearing soft instrumental music playing in the back ground. As soon as our food finished, Vihaa paid the bill telling me to give half of the money in the car not here and I do as she told me to do.
We walk outside of the restaurant, got ourselves settled in the car and she start driving the car towards our homes. While driving she initiated the conversation again,
Vihaa: So, are your excited for you new beginning?
Me: Yeah I am kind of, but I am afraid how will it go.
Vihaa: Don't be afraid you will be fine, I know and you will be successful believe me.
Me: Okay as you say, I will try to keep my focus on studies only.
Vihaa: Good and do try to make new friends okay?
Me: Okay
Though, Internally I am like how can I make new friends what if they are just like old one only, I think I already had enough fun in my life so, now my whole will be to be a successful person. I will keep my focus on studies and try to have this degree with good marks.
Just like this whole drive goes by, we talked about some other things too. Nearly after forty minutes we reach home back, she stop her car in front of my house. I open the passenger side door, move outside of the car and then close the door behind me, she drive the car away towards her house. I ring the bell of the house, fortunately, mother open the gate and with a smile I enter inside the house.
I guess seeing me smiling, while entering inside the house and taking my shoes off, mother get curious so, she start speaking.
Mother: With this smile on your face, I guess your dinner goes well?
Me: Yeah.
Mother: Good and I have another news to give you.
Me: (After keeping my shoes in the cabinet, standing straight and looking at her) What is it?
Mother: Your father is going to sleep with your granny as she is not fine today.
Me: Okay.
After this conversation we start walking towards our rooms, however, rather then going towards my room I walk towards the kitchen to grab a water bottle for my self first. Once my bottle got filled with water I walk towards my room fortunately, no one halt my away this time. I walk inside my room, close and lock the door, then I keep the bottle on the study table and start getting fresh.
After brushing my teeth plus wearing night dress, I sit on my bed taking the support of bed rest I start reading novel Eclipse. Though, I am unable to concentrate on it as some constant thoughts are running inside my head...
how will this new journey be? will it be good like Vihaa said or it will be same like my previous one? I hope it will be fine and I will be able to do good in it.
Just like this an hour or two passed by, unknowingly I fall asleep in the hope of positive and beautiful journey.
