Chapter 10

Emily's POV

I kept tracing Austin's scent till I reached deep into the woods, what would he be doing out here in the middle of the night?, I know he likes to take midnight strolls but this is just too much. I'm really scared, if that.. thing gets his hands on Austin, he might corrupt him and use him to do his bidding. I'm getting closer, I can smell his scent is stronger meaning he just left this area. I soon approach a clearing and ahead I see the gate.

Austin's POV

I took a step in and I was suprised, the moon shone overhead and surprisingly, as soon as I stepped in, the sun also shone but it went away in a few seconds. What phenomenon is that? This place is quite strange, I look around and soon I hear a figure say. "What more proof do you need?, he's obviously the divine being, the sun and moon even come together to grace his prescence". I'm confused about what they're talking about but still I came here to find both Raphael and answers. "Raphael, are you there? Raph? ", I called out his name and he said. "Stop screaming, I'm here, Scar leave us". The man called scar left and Raphael came closer to me then said "I know you want to find out the truth but first, tell me what exactly you remember". "Well I remember you and jasper had a fight and then he... uhm.. he.. kissed me on the forehead and you asked me to stay away from him because he was dangerous before apologizing after which I woke up in my room". "Seems your powers are awakening, my petty tricks won't work on you anymore". "What do you mean by powers?, what tricks? ". "There are a lot if things you don't know, I'll start with this. A long time ago, there was only one god, he created the other gods and goddesses, these were his first human like creations. They became gods of whatever it was he made them out of. He was the god of light but soon, the gods he created felt too proud, they felt that since they were gods they should be worshipped so they went to their creator and pleased wirh him for a long time to create beings which would be their slave. After much persuasion, he created humans and the gods began using them as slaves, they made the humans worship them but some gods began to do things which were terrible to them then one day, a human died, the creator tried to save the human life with his power and infused his power into the soul and body of the corpse but he couldn't save him. He learnt there and then that perhaps there we're things even he had no control over and so he left it but from there, the god of deat was, the power of the creator which was left in its body made it able to become an entity of its own. It kept growing powerful, feeding on death. The creator saw that the humans were dying and so made the reincarnation wheel so that humans could get a second or third chance at life. The god of death kept feeding and getting stronger through all the energy released from the death of every single life form be it human, plant or animal. Soon the gods began mixing with humans giving rise to strange creatures or hybrids, the god of nature slept with a girl, got her pregnant and she bore one of such monsters which humans gave the term elfs. This monsters in turn slept with other creatures and got various species. Three of such creatures are the vampires, werewolves and zombies. These creatures belong to the god of death and our time is at night. One day, the god of death challenged the creator and the they had a great battle, all the gods became extinct while some of their creatures also became extinct but some survived and went into battle. The creator knew he couldn't win this battle and so he took all the powers of the gods and placed it in a part of his soul before ripping that part out and placing it in the wheel of reincarnation to awaken at the right time. This time is now".

Emilys POV

I was about to take a step into the gate when I saw someone move in the shadows. "Who's there, show yourself, i know what you are and I'm not afraid of you". I yelled at the stranger. There was no sound, i proceeded to walk when I hear a voice say "I'm sorry but i cant let you go in there". "And why can't you?". "Because an.. Important event is taking place there and you can't interrupt". He said and i knew for sure something was wrong. "Try and stop me" I said as i got ready to fight. I closed my eye and my hair color changed to white, so did my eye color, i was in my element and i was ready to fight. The vampire in front of me was also ready, he had black eyes and black hair, he seemed agitated and so I began the fight by casting a basic wind spell, the wind spell was to serve as a distraction as i cast my second spell pit of hell which set the patch of land he stood on, on fire. He moved fast but was still caught by the flames. Ha came towards me to slash down at me with his claws but I cast an earth shielding spell and he just hit a bunch of sand and roots. "Your quite impressive for an elf but very soon your mama will deplete and I'll have all the time to kill you". "That's if my mana depletes, look around you, we're in the woods, my territory and the grace of the moon blessees me". I said at him and he seemed disheveled after that. We had another clash but this time I cast flame of hands and once he got closer, I held his neck and it began to burn. He wanted to slash at me but then he suddenly smiled and said "No need to keep delaying you, it has happened " before running away, I felt he was calling a bluff but then I felt that aura and I knew that he wasn't joking, things were going to get tough now.
