✓ Essence
- Essence in the understanding of the inhabitants of the Human Realm, is a dimensional toxin which seeped into the Human Realm several decades ago. Close to several decades ago, an imbalance in the barrier which kept the several realms from interacting with each other resulted in a slight crack. It is believed that from that crack, the gaseous atmosphere of the divine realm polluted the earth.
To the humans, the gaseous atmosphere of the divine realm is considered a deadly toxin which has depleted the population of mankind since it's emergence. However, there are those whose bodies were able to resist the end results of that toxin.
A phenomenon occured within their bodies, they gained supernatural abilities and powers which defied the laws of physics and reason. That supernatural power was referred to as Essence, and those who attained this powers were referred to as the Awakened.
Essence is categorized into several types, the type of Essence an individual attains is highly dependent on his/her abilities.
• Natural/Elementalist Essence
- As the name suggests, this essence type permits the awakened to control or manipulate one of the various elements of nature which are wind, flames, water and earth. In special cases, an individual may gain the ability to utilize the combinations of several elements such as Ice, metal, lightning.
• Slayer's Essence
- Known commonly as the Hunter's Essence, this essence type grants their users the abilities to slay beasts by taking on the several characteristics of certain beasts. The kind of beasts the users can transform into varies depending on the individuals strength and essence level. A certain criteria must also be met before an individual can transfigure into a beast.
• Royal Essence
- The Royal essence is regarded as one of the strongest essence types in existence. An individual falling into this type possesses a hight amount of essen pool, therefore they could only be found within the royal family. The Royal Essence grants an individual the power of light or shadow depending on his/her mental fortitude.
• Alchemist Essence
- Individuals falling under this category possesses the ability to change, manipulate and alter the laws of nature. They deal mostly with transmutation and manipulation of elements to create new things.
✓ Essen Pool
- Essen pool is the measure of an individuals level of essence. The amount of essence an individual possesses is a critical factor in determining what essence type they fall into.
