Chapter 44: Ridges with Bow and Sword

Lehi felt that something hot and oily is absorbing her spine. The pain traverses all over her body. She opened her eyes and saw everyone smiling at her.

King Cyrus just announced an early meeting and bid good night.

Lehi pulled the devout to cover her half naked frame. Ophir just cleared his throat and averted his gaze.

"What do you need?"

Lehi looked at Ophir with appreciation and bashfully enumerated what she required.

"I want some warm bath. Would you mind getting my robe. And can you get me something to eat, I'm hungry. "

Ophir turned his back on Lehi and encircled their bed to get her robe within her closet. He filled in the tub and redied her soap. When he checked the temperature and was satisfied he headed to help Lehi.

Lehi thanked him and he just chuckled at her shy gestures. He made his way on the kitchen and asked for a cake with coffee. He knew that giving her the cake would spoil her, yet Ophir still choosed to pamper his wife. When he got back on their bed Lehi just came out the bathroom.

Ophir led Lehi on their veranda. He set up their veranda romantically for a dinner but was actually a midnight snack.

The trumpet echoed all over the palace as their first session started. After praying and introductions. Aquila started the meeting by enlightening them with the background of who was Raritha and what really happened.

"Raritha was one of our overseer in the west. Her family line were loyal in serving not just the Kingdom but to the people. Raritha was supposed to be the one leading Filadelfa. Yet one night before her recognition she was bound inside her room. There was no sign of any physical abuse except that her stomach bulged. When we called out for King Cyrus it turned out that she was mated by an incubus. Her resistance angered the incubus. He seeded himself on her and she give birth of twins. When they found out that it would be half witch and succubus the elders got alarmed . So I was assigned as her steward. At fist the babies are well behaved but what concern's Raritha was the fact that she got attacked by the incubus through a dream, Rather it was a nightmare. And after 10 years Raritha's fear came true. There were numerous attacked. There half blood witch does not help nor go against the succubus blood pumping within. Rather it nurtured their thirst to collect more ribs and their lustful nature got cultivated. Raritha pleaded me to take her position which I declined but her words hath moved my heart. "

"I have to choose being thier mother even if it means putting my life on the line. It's the best and proper way to bring them up. I have to be there for them. "

After some strategies and agreement the two succubus will remain within the cage of El Oathniel. Kiel and Ophir requested for a private meeting with Cyrus. Hexel just woke up and joined them. Urchin tagged along it felt like a pajama party hosted by men.

"Your highness, I have a concern happening on my sleep. A unknown woman would stride above me naked and I kinda relate about the nightmare meeting. " Kiel stated fidgeting to put his words together. Hexel and Ophir nod in agreement.

"Does your wives know about this? "King Cyrus inquired trying to tease the married men. Kiel and Ophir moved their head to indicate a no.

"You should tell them. In case of Hexel for the time being you should share a room with Urchin. Approach me after your wives heard about this. And we will have a meeting on how to entrap them. "

Hexel and Urchin noticed that Ophir and Kiel are squiggling. Hexel being the unconcerned single just muttered.

"Why are you nervous? You are victims here, It's not like you cheated on them. "

Kiel and Ophir stared fiercely on Hexel and said in unison.

"You don't understand! "

Hexel just shrugged at them and before closing his room with Urchin he hath given them a misplaced thumbs up.

Kiel wanted to kick his door and punch him on the face but he just recovered from his injury.

Kiel paced in front of their bedroom door jolting and fiddling. He is not like Ophir who can just speak casually about this with Lehi. As much as possible he wanted to deliver it not offending or hurting his wife. Regardless of any cliches he prepared. He will save his integrity .When Kiel felt like he is ready to go, he opened the door and saw his wife seating on the bed fixing their pillows.

"Lila, I have something to tell you. "

Lila looked at her husband and nod.

"About the nightmare mentioned earlier, I have been experiencing it lately. And with crossed fingers, I never really enjoyed it. "

Lila gestured Kiel to join him on bed and snuggled close to him.

"I see, I hope that me being this close to you will contribute even a little to help you out. We kinda expected that since the bartender mentioned about how they would visit them on dreams and sucked out their breaths. "

Ophir just frankly spoke about his dreams and Lehi asked him to used her chest as a pillow. Lehi intended to make him fall asleep like how she does with Urchin. Ophir blushed at her offer and just scooped Lehi for protection.

"Wake me up when I start to get violent on my sleep."

Lehi giggled and planted a kiss on his cheeks.

Maritha can't penetrate Ophir nor Kiel's room. Ramah headed for Hexel. She entered his dream and was about to carry out her plan when Urchin summoned her on his trance.

Ramah suddenly saw Hexel holding out a pipe as he stood in front of him. Ramah can feel the intense presence coming from behind Urchin and Hexel. Her eyes were of waxy jasper with a shimmering golden hair. Her every breath sent a quivering fear upon her nape that caused her hair to raise. The Queen is certainly a beast ornamented with breathtaking beauty.
