Chapter 26: Stop Pretending-Really Love!

Lehi can see that Lila is having a hard time taking in what just occur between her and Kiel. Sure, Lila love Kiel but this is out of the blue occasion, Lila requested Lehi to join her at the back garden.

"Is everyone aware of the wedding except me? " Lila inquired between tears.

Lehi nodded. And help Lila to lift her viel.

"King Cyrus stated that the rebellious fraction against Kiel is increasing and are forcing Kiel to marry someone of there choice for political purposes."

Lehi explained as she sat beside Lila, and tap Lila's shoulder for comfort. Lila was surprised of the revelations from King Cyrus. Again

she acted out of her own emotions. Lila knew that a King would never act selfishly it would always be about a national impact.

"It's fine Lila, You don't need to hide your distress express it properly, because we as your friends understand it. " Lehi advised and continued to talk.

"You know what, I felt worst the day before our wedding, I give in to my rash actions and offended Ophir.... The good thing is that Ophir was transparent enough to tell me that my actions hurted him.. " Lehi narrated as she smile at Lila and continued.

" I apologized and admitted that I am being rattled and restless and you know what Lila? Ophir just apprehended and lead me in to pray, after that we both felt better." Lehi finalised as she play with her wedding ring intact in her finger and beamed as she tried to motivate Lila.

Kiel can see how confused and forced Lila's smile and reaction at their ceremony. He tried to scan the surrounding but is unable to spot Lila's figure. A lot of people keep coming to him and is presenting them with congratulations gifts. Thanks to Hexel, Ophir, Mem and Eyel's assitance their table remained presentable. Ophir noticed Kiel's anxiousness and sat beside him.

" Are you worried that Lila might run away? "

Kiel just sighed and swallowed his worries and agreed with Ophir.

"Come on! Your Highness, Have some spirit! Lila and Lehi visited the back garden. Lila wanted some air. "

Ophir enlightened Kiel as he spotted his wife introducing Lila to some nobles.

He cupped Kiel's chin and directed it to where Lila and Lehi are conversing with some nobles. "Feeling better? " Ophir said as he let go of Kiel's face that regain it's radiance. Kiel grinned at Ophir.

King Cyrus hath communicated to the elders about Kiel's situation and was pardoned. So they decided to announced that the prince and his wife will not take the Linen but prepared a royal chamber for them.

They have inspired the people that it's not of exception but to honor their prince's special night and occasion. But in exchange to that the elders must be the one to escort the newly weds. King Cyrus was glad that one of the elders put on some throught about it.

As they marched and follow the elder Kiel tried to hold Lila's hands but Lila purposely avoided his arms unnoticed by the elders.

"Say, young lady are you happy about our prince marrying you?" One of the faithful elder questioned as he smiled at her expectantly. Lila smiled back at him and nodded. The elder tried to assure Lila and professed kindly.

"We know about your case, You don't have to pretend or act. It's okay take it slowly. We are not pressuring you. "

The elders opened the door, bowed to them and excused themselves. The room look like a diamond hall. The oceanic color is peaceful in sight. The curtains are of Kiel's eyes. There are lavender flowers all around and the bed covered in silk scarlet. It spoke of their personality. Lila sat by the window and invited Kiel to do the same.

Kiel suddenly bowed his head and apologized.

" In behalf of our friends and my parents, I sincerely asked for your forgiveness for putting you through somehing like this. "

Lila stood up and hug Kiel. Lila whispered in his ears with a sweet tone.

"I have forgiven you, It's just that I cannot deny how shocked I am. I was stricken as to how easily the King and Queen would allow their son to marry someone like me. Plus the vows that I have rewritten for a thousand times were useless. How come all that I planned and aim to impress you went to waste?"

Lila hipped in pleasantly to lighten the mood. Her certification made Kiel to chuckle and embraced Lila. He let his hand roam around Lila's back all the way to her waist and angled his face to look at her eyes.

" Thanks, now that you mentioned it, we did not have the chance back then with the fireflies. So can I have this dance beautiful wife? "

Kiel asked as he began to lead her and swayed. Lila cleared her troath and warned Kiel.

"I won't be able to gurantee you with perfect steps but I swear to follow your lead." Lila uttered as she recalled how she used Hexel's feet as her main hall. Lila clasp her hands in Kiel's nape and followed his lead.

Ophir is combing Lehi's hair and started to braid it. Lehi suddenly spoke with a moderate placate.

"Ophir don't you miss where you came from? "

Ophir jibed in temperate as he sniff Lehi's hair.

"I do, I used to comb my mother's hair and would get scolded because I would tangle it. How about you? "

Lehi nodded and tapered with feeble light.

"Yes, I miss Nevi and the kids. "

Ophir got curious and inquired.

"Who is Nevi? "

Lehi look at him and spoke in pleasing amusement .

"He is my childhood friend. He is the guy I admire since we were kids. "

The statement made Ophir used his thumb to make a sharp sound with Lehi's hair. Lehi hath her eyes wide and realised what she just said.

"Well that was before I got here.. He is a good and reliable friend... "

Lehi's statement is not helping at all because Ophir just walked away from her and curled on their bed. Lehi blink her eyes in weary. Lehi can't honestly identify how to deal towards Ophir's jealousy or sulking since it rarely happens.

Lehi get in under the blanket and tried to reason out but Ophir just ignored her. So Lehi needed a new strategy. Lehi saw her father do it whenever he wants to pamper her mother.

"Honey, My love so ~sweet please~ pay attention at me~. " Lehi tried to speak with daring musical tone. Ophir blushed at her reaction and face his wife. Lehi made a gesture mimicking a cat. Ophir taught it was cute and pretended to sulk more and he pouted his lips. Lehi tries her best to pampered Ophir thanks to her father's tactics.
