Chapter 217: Flowers of the Field

Cyrus asked Sienna and Kish to vanquish the dark force. He ordered the team to guard them and take the necessary defense needed in case it might cause a problem. Lehi's wrist stinged from what she did. It was thanks to the oil that her wrist recieved the minimal damage.

Tera needed to kept her cool or she might end up taking Ecles' life. Her focus and mind are rattled. It was strange she was usually calm when taking the operation but her gut tells her that they missed something. Trully enough when Tera finalised Ecles' stitch

his breath flowed naturally but his other system malfunctioned. Lehi and Hexel needed to pull an all nighter to make sure that there teacher will be able to overcome such crises.

When Eyel heared from Resh that her step brother's operation got complicated. She can't help but be weary. She's been pacing back in forth within her room. She heared from Sienna that the dark magic got eliminated but the effect it had in Ecles' body got more at risk. Eyel storm off from her room and sat in front of the operating room.

Eyel can hear the faint beeping and pumping. Eyel wanted to enter and do some thing for Ecles but in her current state she will just be a burden. She waited for any report of progress till dawn but the door remained shut.

Eyel walked back to her room and put on her maid uniform. Despite her current storm her service role should not be missed.

She visited the kitchen to help the people their prepare the breakfast. The chefs and workers celebrated to see her guide them once more.

"Good morning everyone! Let's prepare and cook some thing healthy and energising food." Eyel greeted.

Cyrus heared from Mem that the Tera's team were sleepless due to the complication in Ecles' system. He summoned the Tale Bearers for a meeting.

"Since we all had our breakfast. Eyel and Resh found out that girl's identity and again it's connected to the underground fraction. Ham was just a small portion of that organisation. If we won't be able to track down the main propertier of this then we might all had our heads roll on the ground as the evil force continued to get larger." The King pointed.

"Ophir, lead your team to investigate the place toward Hedge Waterfall. Evi and Cyprus will take you there. It was the enemy's altar. And another thing destroy the altar and plant our banner in that place. That place is our territory and not the enemy's pawn." Cyrus sternly and frimly commanded.

"If you understand what I mean then move." His firm and strictness had the Tale Bearers motivated and scared to death.

"Aren't you scary? I have seen that face for a lot of times but it still gives me the chill." Waheb suddenly remarked.

Cyrus just ignored his friend's remark and stated.

"Did you acquired anything?"

Waheb just scratch his head and replied.

"How cold, I just got here you know. You did not even greet me. Anyways, yeah Ham was part of a large organisation by the red line district. The whole community regarded him as a tyrant collector. That is why when he died the people started to be connected with the Kingdom. Also they all confirmed that Ham were kidnapping and collecting the kids and would sell them on the bidding."

Waheb reported.

"Then that kid is his fake niece." Cyrus muttured.

"No, she is really his relative. His late sister's daughter. Who was also unknowingly got sold to a demon and was used as a sacrifice for their ritual."

Waheb corrected as he glanced at the empty throne.

"Aside from every person here got deployed for investigation, I don't see much people in the area." Waheb inquired as he sense the void and heavy atmosphere.

"Ecles is still in a complicated situation. Tera even pulled an all night operation to help him in any possible means." Cyrus replied as he sighed and walked toward Waheb.

"How about you see it for your self." The King invited and led him to the medical area.

Lila and Natalina send the Tale Baerers toward the Hedge waterfall and tended Urchin. Ever since the team arrived Urchin was put in a deep slumber. Lila heared from Ophir what Urchin did. Lila can't help but cry since her son needed to do things solely.

Natalina comforted Lila as she allowed Sage and Eyel to tend on her children.

"It must have been hard for you and Kiel. You have a gifted and brave son but he is still a child. It was like he behold something so great that he can't talk about.. which make it sad." Natalina uttered.

Lila looked up to Natalina in confusion.

"Why was it sad?"

Natalina brushed Urchin's forehead and replied gently.

"Because you saw something amazing but you are not allowed to talk about it. You see, when you eat something good you want others to taste it as well but in Urchin, Sienna, Resh and Kish's case it is not applicable."

Lila silently wept for her son hoping to have him recover in no time.

Hexel almost dropped the needle in Ecles' liver but was nudged by Lehi.

"You okay?" Lehi asked as she held Hexel's wrist.

"Yeah sorry, I feel sleepy." Hexel admitted.

Tera softly gazed at the two who patiently performed the surgery with her all night.

"The two of yoh can rest after this. Cyrus and Resh will take over your place." She advised gently. Tera did the last stitch and carefully sealed it in prayer.

"Our Lord who have given us the strength to perform our task well. We thank you whole heatedly. May your spirit descends to this person's recovery. Amen."

Hexel and Lehi waites for Cyrus and Resh to arrive and was relieved to see another hand to aid the duchess. Waheb just gave them a encouraging smile and said.

"You did great, go and get some rest. We will take over."
