Chapter 146: Deceitful Heart
Nevi did not see it coming when Ophir suddenly grappled his neck as he laughed. Ain tried to help Nevi but Kiel hugged him with his body. Kiel's saliva dripped toward Ain's shoulder as Kiel kept on chanting flirty lines. Hexel stood up and started roaring in the middle of the night. The manager and lounge owner even beg them to settle down but when most of the customers complained. The Tale Bearers got kicked out. Ain just transformed them unto a mini person as Nevi grab an empty jar to stock the three. Kiel started winking and sending a flying kiss. Ophir laughed when he got his head bump unto the hard surface. Hexel just kept looking for the comfort room. Sienna felt bad for them and lead Ain and Nevi to where she is currently staying. The small stock room behind the restaurant.
"I am sorry but this is all I've got. Just rest wherever you wanted."
Sienna informed as she swept the floor and spread the unused sacks and topped it with a blanket. Ain and Nevi did not complain. For some reason they felt tired. Ain secured Kiel, Ophir and Hexel inside the jar.
"Why did you run away?" Nevi inquired as Sienna lay down on top of her small bed and bluntly answered.
"It's because I don't want to marry the duke."
"I already had the clue as to why but just to make sure, why?" Nevi added.
"It's because this man is not my ideal type but he for some reason passed my standards. In short I am scared to marry someone who is insensitive."
Sienna stated trying to be polite but ended up complaining.
Ain and Nevi just said a unison of
"It does make sense."
Hexel woke up looking for a comfort room as he stepped on Kiel's stomach inside the transparent jar. Ophir snickered when Hexel fell on top of him. Hexel's blurry gaze can see a witch looking around. Hexel tried to call out unto the woman who is carefully looking for something. Hexel started to yell and
asked for the comfort room.
Ain woke up and jolted when Hexel yelled. The jar are only beside his head. Ain blinked and saw a unknown figure messing up the stock of ingredients on the corner. Ain sliced the dimension and tried to corner the woman when the witch instantly turned unto a lady bug and tried to escape but Ain was sharp enough to let her walk inside the bottle he picked up and scooped the lady bug. Ain also reduced the bottle's size to prevent the witch from transforming back. Ain kept it under his pillow and snoozed off.
Sienna hurriedly packed her things and was about to exit the storage room before the sun rises but Nevi's question made her freeze.
"So, I'll just let Hexel know that you don't want to marry him? How do you think the duchess will react?"
Sienna bowed her head in guilt. Hexel was the one who hired her. She is also aware that Hexel haven't tell anyone about her roots because if he did and the palace knew of it, then Kish might have visited her. Aside from she is from the line that spoke of the prophecy about Kish. She is also the remnant of those amazing saints. It was because of the prophecy that her whole tribe got killed by the demons who used to tyranny rule before King Cyrus does. She already knew that Hexel is her future husband even before working on Ham's auction events. She already knew that even if she tried to escape and take a conflicting path against her the prophecy spoken unto her, she will end up with this insensitive duke.
"It's weird right? I don't like him but I already knew that he will be my husband."
Sienna said as she slump on the door's edge.
"I wonder where your running from? Is it Hexel or from your own future?"
Nevi asked as he checked on the three who looked like a doll inside the jar.
"See, he is even breathing evenly. He couldn't care less." Nevi pointed as he grinned. Sienna just inhaled and tossed her bag as she put on the apron.
"Just let me know when they wake up. Today is my last day here."
Ain yawned and checked the lady bug he caught under pillow. Ain let Nevi know about the event he encountered at dawn. Ophir was surprised to find himself under Hexel. Kiel felt like his stomach got hammered by something heavy. Hexel woke up with his throat dry.
Ain and Nevi had them sat on the table.
The three were complaining but Nevi and Ain agreed to punish the three and told them about the scene they caused last night. Ophir, Hexel and Kiel bashfully apologised. Sienna joined them for the meal. She served the meal and sat with them.
"This is my treat, Eat with your heart!"
Sienna cheered as she served the huge plate and bowl unto the three who had their head hang low. They were ashamed especially when the manager teased them about thier commotion.
Hexel felt the vibe that Sienna seemed to be more comfortable. They gathered by the woods and let the lady big transformed unto herself. She looked like a middle age woman with orange locks and green eyes. She started to release a perfume that would make the inhaler intoxicated but Nevi was upright to snatch her perfume and said.
"We have heared about a witch who collects foreign men around the area but we never thought that our comrades would fall for it right on the bat."
Kiel heared about how he threw a bunch of cheesy lines. He can't even man up when the gay he danced with approached him from the restaurant saying that he had a good time.
"I felt pissed off, I can't even let my spine rest from quivering. You better tell me where those men are or I will exile you." Kiel warned as he glared to the point that his face mirrored Cyrus poker face.
