Chapter 114: Disarm, Destroy ans Disperse

Nevi commanded Hexel to follow suit. Lehi gave her approval as she stood feeling better. Ain restores the origanal size of the table. When Ain suggested to track Hexel and Nevi but Lehi halted him and they both looked for the chef.

The opponent rush toward the abandoned area of the vicinity. He leaped and was about to jump on the cliff but Nevi punched a tree to disable the opponent's motive. Hexel attacked to push the foe away from the cliff. Hexel got pushed by the enemy unto the edge. Nevi took the opportunity to subdue the foe. Nevi blocked the enemy's scalpel but the veiled person was able to scrape Nevi's fist by shifting the scalpel's angle. Nevi's blood stained the scalpel the enemy tried to lick his blood but it's tongue got electrified.

Hexel stood up and prayed as he uplift his sword.

"Our Father who is the Finisher. You are the one who qualifies us to be on this wrestle. Equipped us with Your sword and wield us as Your member. Amen."

Hexel had earn a cord and staff. He saw Nevi's fist sprinkled some blood. Hexel aided Nevi and swing his cord to strangle the enemy. The foe tried to use it's force and stregnth to be free from the cord but Nevi knocked him by smacking him on the back of his head.

Natalina counted the box left to be moved by Lila and their are only eight pairs left. Thanks to Ophir she cheered up. Natalina was informed that Cyprus suddenly had a convulsion. Ophir got asked by the Elders to join their inspection about Cyprus condition. Natalina heared Urchin sang from his room with Eyel. She accompanied Lila to Terifimo and helped them unwrapp the supplies.

Cyrus got alerted by the sudden convulsion concerning his twin. He informed Kiel and Mem to resume his works and made his way to Cyprus.

Cyprus looked like a doll. His skin cells are enough to produce some flakes. His lips were no longer red but is violet. Ophir was there to check his blood and he uttered that something weird is going on. His bodily fluids are outpouring from all of his member that damp the bed. It's smell was fetid. Ophir and the Duchess continued to wipe his flesh but the overflow was endless. After some time the convulsion unexpectedly halted and his heart rate started a normal rhythm.

Lehi and Ain looked for the chef and found him on the attic. He still flashed a genuine smile despite the experience he went through. Ain recalled that if they follow through the story and investigation the enemy should be coming after a priest not of a chef.

They sat to have a talk with the chef.

"My Name is Hames. I am also the village priest. I heared about the rampant killing and I expected that sooner the killer will come after my head." Hames finished as he stared at the wooden table.

"Yet, I admire how you gave him a bright smile. No wonder you are able to give him such a sincere beam." Lehi remarked.

"But do you by any chance know why was that unidentified foe kept killing a priest. Or why would it particularly get the heart or ears?" Ain inquired.

Their conversation halted when Hexel and Nevi arrived with the unconscious enemy. When they unvield the enemy, an old man with a lot of knittings all over his body got uncloacked. Hames gapsed and was shocked to know that the killer was one of the most trusted man within the village. Hames identified him as the oldest sword polisher in the village.

Nevi seemed to be unconvinced. The presence that he encountered before was different with the old man. Hames briefed them about the old man's family. They are wealthy, his wife died due to an illness and his children are now knights serving the palace. Their was no reason or motive for the old man to kill.

Ain got ordered by Nevi to cut the dimension and have them sent to the palace with the unconscious old man.

Cyrus left the case with the old man to the Elders. Nevi is browsing the paperworks left by Novena. When one of the knights called Nevi to attend the throne with the Tale Bearers. When Nevi entered the throne Hexel had his head bowed in gloom. Ain and Lehi displayed sorrow. Ain spoke with a low key tone.

"The real culprit was out there. This morning Hames was found dead in the yard of the lounge."

The news had his joint click in languish. Nevi's hunch was right. If only he decided to stay for another night. The real culprit should have been caught. Ain cut the dimension for the same team to get back with Ophir. Kiel and Lila entrusted Urchin with the team. Cyrus suggested that Urchin might be able to know what really happened. How did they end up capturing an innocent man?

Urchin shut his eyes as he held Hames hands. A vision of a figure with veil held his scalpel and stab him on the neck and disected his heart and ears. Urchin saw that the old man was going to deliver the newly polished bread knife when the enemy enchanted something to his ears. The old man got controlled by the enemy's voice.

Nevi and Hexel got distressed at the revelation behind the scenes of what truly happened before the two spotted the old on the cliff. No wonder they got hooked because of the enchanment applied by the enemy. Urchin also added that he was able to ask the enemy why does it collects the ears and split the heart.

"Hwe swaid twat, it bewcause thew eawrs is thew swame as thew hweart."

Ain and Lehi reacted at the statement. It was the same line that Hames told them. Lehi added after Urchin's statement.

"That the only place that can be the Lord's resident is the heart and to confirm it is with the ears."
