15 High-Level Battle

The two people who were fighting in mid-air were floating as if being in mid-air was the easiest thing to do in the world.

They moved through the air as if they were simply stepping on the ground, the two continued to move as they attacked each other while at the same time, dodging, defending, and even counterattacking.

Amidst their rapid movements, which made it impossible for Vicente to keep up with, Magic Pentagrams would appear around them, glowing brightly as different forms of powers continued to appear in the surroundings.

Everything was happening at a speed that was almost impossible for anyone to keep up with if they didn't have control over their mana, just like Vicente.

However, Vincente was able to notice it when a yellow pentagram started glowing intensely, and one of the arms belonging to one among them transformed into a limb that was nearly four times its normal size, displaying animalistic contours.

Then, that person with that humongous arm attacked his opponent with the claws that grew on his body, forming blades in the air that rushed towards his target.

Swooish!

Noticing the barrage of attacks rushing towards him along with the claws, the other man quickly moved against it and dodged, following which a green pentagram started glowing in front of him.

From that green pentagram, something began to emerge from the void of space as if it were some kind of a space portal.

Soon, a giant golden shield solidified in front of this magician, seemingly as concrete as the Fuller family's carriage.

Vicente opened his mouth in awe, watching all these movements, trying to identify several things in these few short moments that had passed since he had noticed the disturbances that were caused because of the fight between these two.

"Mage Sovereigns!" Andrew glanced out of the window of his carriage and exclaimed, not able to believe that two such powerful magicians had appeared right in this place.

"What? They're Mage Sovereigns?" Vice repeated as Lauren also stared out the window with her mouth wide open.

'Mage Sovereigns... No wonder that person has a Green Magic Pentagram!'

Magic Pentagrams held their own classification. They varied in quality according to their origin, ranging from the worst to the best in the following order:

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Indigo, and Violet.

According to the magic theory that Vice had learned, Red Magic Pentagrams could be found at a ratio of 1 for every 10 natural magical beings.

In other words, the Magic Pentagrams were easy to find, and absorbing them should not be difficult, even if it was done by some beginner-level magicians.

Orange ones could be found at a ratio of 1 to 200; Yellow ones at 1 to 4,000; Green ones at 1 to 80,000; Cyan ones at 1 to 1,600,000; Indigo ones at 1 to 32,000,000; and Violet ones at 1 to 640,000,000.

However, Vice knew that this record was mostly based on the information that was cataloged by this magical civilization. Practically, finding such a huge number of pentagrams could be more difficult or easier. It was only a probability, thus in one place, there could either be resources or regions that were capable of generating a Violet Magic Pentagram or while in some places, not even one could be found.

Observing the man with a Green Magic Pentagram, Vicente realized that this person was extremely privileged and lucky. He was probably one of the few in this world who had something that was ranked so highly.

'Will I ever be able to become like that?' He wondered as he closely followed the little bit of the battle up to that moment with gleaming eyes.

Amidst Vice's close observation, his father shouted to the men at the front of his carriage, instructing, "Quickly, get us out of here as fast as possible! It's too dangerous for us to be near a battle between two Sovereigns!" his voice clearly indicated how agitated he was and had already started breaking into a cold sweat.

After his initial surprise passed away, Andrew's rational side took over and allowed him to give the order that he should.

While the coachman did what he should, the two men fighting in the skies were having a not-so-merry conversation while launching attacks at each other.

"Today will be your end, old bug!" The one with a better set of pentagrams bellowed as another of his pentagrams glowed brightly, this time glowing Yellow.

"Malik, don't be so confident. As long as I don't have the ideal set of pentagrams, I can fully wipe out your race!"

Another Yellow pentagram glowed at this man's feet while the Magic Gem on his forehead constantly refined his mana, directing it toward his pentagrams.

Then, a skeleton of a giant bestial creature appeared from space, revealing one of its claws before presenting itself completely.

This skeleton beast glowed gray, with two yellow lights in place of its eyes.

These two lights emitted a menacing aura, making all the creatures for miles around to feel a sense of unease, the skeleton beast then moved its facial bones as if it would howl at any moment.

Simultaneously, a yellow silhouette appeared behind Malik, with eyes glowing in a way that seemed as if they were going to explode at any moment.

"Dax!"

"Malik!"

The two combatants ignored everything in their surroundings and once again charged at each other, attacking with everything they had.

The eyes of the golden silhouette, which resembled very much a woman's body, suddenly exploded, and a grandiose yellow bolt of lightning shot straight toward Dax's body.

Simultaneously, the bestial skeleton strangely opened its maw as wide as it possibly could, and a thunderous roar broke out, causing the mana in the surroundings to vibrate intensely.

"Oh, shit!"

At that instant, everyone in the Fuller family carriage instinctively raised their hands toward their ears, intending to cover them as hearing that shrill sound was nearly unbearably.

This was especially true for the children, who had not yet undergone their Awakening and were entirely unprotected against such a sound.

"Aaaagh!"

Vicente screamed in pain as he felt blood trickle from his ears. However, he was much concerned about his sisters, who were screaming even louder than he was.

Contrary to what some might think, witnessing a battle of high-level magicians was not much of a pleasant experience!

As much as one could get the opportunity to learn marvelous things by simply watching such powerful people fight, a deadly battle between experts could pose a great danger to those in the vicinity!

That was the first time for Vicente to see magicians fight for real. This immediately made him realize this world was truly much more perilous than Earth.

Not only that, but he also understood that with great power comes great responsibility!

Those two didn't seem to be concerned in the least about who was in their proximity and had now put Vice's entire family in danger.

"Shit! Please! Please stop!" He tried to shout, but his voice did not even reach those in the carriage.

Meanwhile, the two attacks collided in the skies, with each diverting the other from its primary target.

Lauren gazed out the window and saw the light beam from that silhouette's eyes collide with the vibrations of mana that were generated by the sound waves from its opponent's skill, sending the combined forces towards their carriage.

"No!" She shouted as she felt the pain in her eyes.

Moments later, the light beam deflected by Dax's attack almost struck the family's carriage, melting the ground near their path.

"Aaaagh!"

"Andrew! Andrew, we have to escape on foot! If we keep going like this, we'll all die!" Kate urged her husband, seeing that he was already trying to help Lauren and Nina.

Despite his cold sweat, he made the difficult decision to try his own luck by helping his family run away.

"Let's go!" He said to his wife, expecting her to go ahead.

When they got out of that carriage, Andrew glanced at the three men and communicated using his mana. "One of you lead the way, and the other take Vicente. We'll escape on foot!"

"OK!"

Quickly, the coachman and another man left the carriage and ran ahead, running a few steps ahead of Kate and the rest of the family.

Andrew held his two daughters in his arms while Vicente was already perched on one of that General's shoulders.

While being carried by that man, Vicente looked once again into the sky and observed all the pentagrams of those people.

One of them had Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green, the ideal combination for someone at his magic stage in Polaris Realm. However, the other one was missing a bit, having only Red, Orange, Yellow, and Yellow pentagrams.

Regardless, all the pentagrams coalesced around their attacks, intensifying their power to the maximum.

"DIE!"

"That's the end, DAX!"

The two attacks continued to clash, causing some of their power to get deflected and dispersed into the surroundings. However, gradually, Malik managed to breach his opponent's sound barrier.

When this happened, a colossal explosion erupted in the skies over that region followed by a large shockwave that shook everything in the vicinity.

BOOOOOOM!
