Taemin: Duel of Love

Ugh you groaned

You: I'm getting up geez

You roll out of bed and start getting ready for school. After you shower you get dressed in all black and put your hair in a bun and made your makeup to match.

I walked down stairs and grabbed an apple. Every morning for the last year all I had for breakfast was just 1 apple and It made me feel steady.

I grab my backpack and start to walk to school like I have for the last year. You might think walking to school is so horrible but some days I decide to take my motorcycle today i just didn't feel like it. As I approached our boring campus I saw them Taemin, Minho and Onew standing over a kid.

You: he seems new

I started to walk past them over hearing the conversation

Taemin: Look what we have here people fresh meat that thinks he can talk back to us.

Minho: look at how he is dressed did your mother pick out your outfit

Onew: he looks like a little fag

Hearing them speak like that makes you sick to your stomach but not that long ago you wouldn't have bothered to interrupt until you saw what happened next.

Taemin: get him boys

Minho and Onew pushed the boy to the ground and landed a few punches. Your blood boiled in anger causing you too

You: yah… why don't you leave him alone don't you neanderthals have anything better to do like school

Key POV

I had just transferred to a new school because at the last I had not fit in and here I am again getting picked out because I asked the wrong guys for directions. After they had me down on the ground and started beating me i hear the voice of an angel.

?: why don't you leave him alone

They stopped what they were doing and when you looked at her she was beautiful. Thousands of beams of light shining behind her.

Minho: why don't you mind your own business and keep walking princess

They are pretty friendly with her why who is she

?: and if I don't want to

What the hell is she doing why she didn't keep walking like everyone else she's going to get in trouble to

Taemin: brave as ever I see maybe you should be next what do you say princess

?: Ha Ha Ha very funny Taemin leave the kid alone and let's go to class

Onew: you going to let this slide taemin or are you going to do something

Taemin: y/n just keep walking while i'm still asking or else

y/n: you really want to go through this Taemin.

She walked over to me and helped me get up then stood in between me and the group of boys.

y/n: tell your dogs to back down and walk me to class the bell will ring soon

She is bold. Man i will give her that

Minho: it's not worth it now let's just go for now

Onew: but this isn't over new kid next time no one will save you

They turned and walked away

Y/n Pov

I began to follow Taemin inside when the boy grabbed my wrist

?: wait i want to thank you for your help

I looked at him cold

You: I didn't do it for you

He smiled a dumb goofy smile at you

?: well no matter why you did it you helped me thank you

He bowed to you

You: what's your name

He snapped up

Key: Kim Kibum but most call me Key

You: well Kim Kibum stay away from them because no one else will help and I won't next time

He smiled sadly

Taemin: come on y/n let's go

I look at the boy one more time then walked to class with Taemin. We entered the class and I sat in the back by myself. The teacher entered after the bell rang.

Teacher: class we have a new student

it was the same kid from campus entrance. I saw Taemin grin. Looks like that kid wont be catching any breaks this year

Teacher: introduce yourself for the class

He smiled

Key: my name is Kim Kibum you can call me key i'm from Gangnam-gu so please take care of me

He scanned the room and when he saw me he perked up more I looked away and saw Taemin looking back at me glaring. I put my head down toward the window

Irene: look how cute he is

Joy: but he's looking at y/n

Irene: I heard she saved him from Taemin and his pack

Joy: why would she do that she never cares what Taemin does or about how others feel

I knew the whole class could hear them because Taemin slammed his hand on the desk. It made everyone shut up.

Teacher: key please take a seat next to y/n

Shoot me now god how could he betray me again like this. Why would the teacher do this. The chair next to me is pulled out scraping against the floor he taped on my shoulder but I acted like I had not felt it so he whispered

Key: we meet again y/n must be fate

Fate my ass i look up at him like why are you talking to me. He seemed to get the message because for the next three classes he didn't speak to me not once. The bell then rang for lunch. I walked in the cafe. I grabbed an apple and a bar of chocolate and sat in the corner of the room far away from everyone

I bought out my book and started reading. I knew no one was going to bother me they never did. The cafe could be packed yet they would rather eat on the floor than with me. I didn't mind it but a voice interrupting my reading.

Key: can I sit with you

You: no find a new place

The chair scrapes the floor as he pulled it out to sit in front of you

Key: isn't it lonely being by yourself I know I don't like sitting by myself

I looked up from the book. He had that goofy annoying smile again. I let out a huff and stand up and begin to walk away

Irene Pov

No why did he sit with y/n he's going to get his heart broken.

Irene: yah key come sit with us

He scanned the table eyes stopping on Taemin, Minho, and Onew

Joy: don't mind them join us

He got up and sat with us I looked over to see y/n walk slower

Irene: don't worry about y/n she's like that to everyone since the accident last year. But don't hold it against her she use to be fun loving and her laughter made everyone smile.

Key: what accident

y/n had stopped

Joy: she lost her family in a bad car accident. Everyone… her mom, her dad, and her little brother. When she got out of the hospital everything about her had changed we lost her.

I look at y/n she had turned around tears in her eyes she then began to walk away faster. I looked at Taemin he was furious as he watched her run away.

Taemin: how could you tell a stranger all of that without her permission. How careless could you be have some respect would you. She was actually hurt.

He gets up and leaves

Joy: I...I...didn't m...mean to

Irene: it's okay

Y/n Pov

I run from the cafe into the classroom crying very hard my chest hurts as I remember the moment I woke to being an orphan my vision blurred. When will it end? A voice calls out to me

Taemin: y/n

He runs to me and holds me in his arms. I remember for the first month after the accident he would hold me like this until i pushed him away. That thought made me cry harder.

Taemin: people are careless with how they speak don't listen to them and don't hang out with that Key guy do you understand.

He was shaking in anger always so protective. I remember when he use to get beat up on the playground trying to stand up for me This made me laugh

Taemin: you were always so ugly when you cried

I hit his shoulder he laughs. He sat next to me until the bell rang the Key walked into the room. He stared at you

Key: can i talk to you y/n

You: no i don't want to talk because it's none of your business so why don't you do me a favor and leave me the hell alone

He looked hurt but i couldn't stop

Teacher: y/n either calm down now or I will send you to the principal

I glared at Key then at the teacher and walked out of the class

Key POV

After y/n blew up on me she just left and no one even tried to stop her

Key: no one is going to stop her

Irene: it won't help plus she's just going to go to the library

I looked toward the door but i could feel Taemin death glaring me but i couldn't help worry about her

Y/N POV

I am steaming with anger as I walk into the library to the very back section and sit

You: where does he get the nerve to be nosy in my business I should have just let Taemin beat him up this morning aish… this is so frustrating… yah Kim Kibum watch out

Bell rings many times finally it's time to go home, I start to walk out the next exit when

Taemin: y/n wait up

Him and his pack was running to me he had my stuff in his hand

Minho: don't you need this

Onew: don't worry we copied the notes for you and everything. Taemin's orders

I wasn't in the mood so I turned and kept walking without taking it. That's when Taemin grabbed my arm

Taemin: are you mad at us because what that boy said

I snatched my arm away

You: yes… no… maybe… I don't know…

I looked at the ground

Onew: he hurt you a lot today if your mad at Taemin

Minho: he's going to die

Just then key happened to turn the corner his eyes met yours but he looked at the ground

Taemin: yah key get over here now

Taemin's voice shook in anger Key walked over to us then stopped not looking up

Onew: don't you have something to say to y/n for hurting her

Key looked up at me then in a whisper said

Key: I...I'm so...sorry

Taemin: she can't hear you speak up

They pushed key against the locker. Even though i was mad I couldn't stand by this violence…

You: just stop it and let him go

Taemin: but he hurt you

You: the accident hurt me he just made me realize that I can never get over it no matter how I try or who i push away. Getting angry, yelling, going off on people should be natural. I can't act happy or go back to my normal self it's just to much energy and not worth it. But still can't let you act like this

Taemin looked at me sad but nodded his head he began to walk out the exit.

Minho: bye y/n see you tomorrow

Onew: yeah night.

They followed him.

Key: I really am sorry I didn't mean to bring it up

He looked at me

You: you can't escape your past those ghost haunt you. I'm sorry for what happened in the classroom. I was just in a mood.

Key: i deserve it for the pain i bought up for you

I then remember that Taemin had my stuff and my house keys, phone, and wallet… shit I have to go get it back before he leaves

You: sorry Key i have to go

I run out the door

Key POV

I watched y/n run out the door a smile plastered on my face

Key: see you tomorrow y/n and the next and the next because I will never leave you not again.
