Chapter 16 - The Mistake of Humanity

After 3 days of preparation, the king and his soldiers marched towards Britania.

Usually, when a big fight like this one started, the king would stay in the castle, but it was a wide spread fact that Tomas, the king of britania, fought together with his soldiers in all ocasions, so it was a matter of prive for the current king to go.

When they got there, Britania was caught off guard, and suffered some damages, buf after figuring the situation out, Britania startted it's counter attack.

At first the battle was very fierce, with the king's and Britania's soldiers figting each other, but when the members of the Blunt Blade joined into the battle field, the tides changed.

Tomas was a genius with the sword, before when he was a simple warrior, cutting wood with a single slice was already possible, but now that he had received special training from many diferent masters, had a special diet that strengthened his muscles, and trained everyday, with simple butter knife he could split a wall in two.

Gharrar was little, but was very brute, his body was strong and with many apparent and very strong muscles, he didn't had any technique or strategy when fighting, he just smashed everything, because of that his main weapons were his axe and hammer, with him on thebattle field, there was no usable defense strategy, and after his muscles were refined by eating a lot and doing extreme training everyday on the castle, he was becoming ever more terrifying.

And Finally, Laila. Since the beggining, laila was already very strong, dodging arrows, defending attacks and attacking, she was a master in all weapons so she usually went to the battlefield barehanded and got a weapon from one of the enemies, that was how strong Laila really was.

But, after receiving the blessing from the Great One, surviving the Dragon Trials, and refining her swordplay, Laila was a death machine, her attacks were even stronger than Gharrar's now. With a swing she wind waves towards her enemies, and if someone was unlucky enough to receive her full attack, he would be split in half and then explode because of the high pressure of the wind.

The king was taken aback by these three's strength, but he didn't retreat, he was too prideful for that!

And after fighting non stop for 2 days, the king's army was completely massacred.

And like that, britania became the Kingdom that ruled over the continent.

Everything that happened after went smooth and sweetly.

They killed all rebels, divided the currency of the Kingdom in 3 types of coins, each one worth 1000 of the previous one, stabilished a Order of Knights, named new nobles, made new laws and expanded their territory towards the wilderness of the continent.

To this point 12 years had passed, and finally, Tomas and Laila had their first progenitor. A boy with yellow eyes and hair named Axel, the first prince of Britania. On the succeeding 7 years, Laila and Tomas had other 2 kinds, a brown haired and blue eyed girl called Lillian and the last one, a boy with yellow eyes and brown hair named Abel.

After their life was more settled, Laila started founding a research about something.

Back then, when she was on the third trial, the stone Altar where she had to stand for 5 hours, the Great One used his godly powers to save her life, and since that da, she couldn't take that feeling out of her head, she wanted to fell that again, that energy, that motivation, that POWER.

Luckly, a sliver of that energy remained on Laila's body after it recovered her body, Laila was so obsessed with that sliver of energy, tha tit was almost like a drug to her, dug that, Laila had to give up to the researchers so they could discover how to use it.

4 years later, she had been notified by her research group that they had a hint on how to utilize the energy, but they had to test it out, but because Laila was the Queen of the Kingdom, she couldn't be the subject, so she gave them permission to test on the commoners from the capital city.

The reseach group used and abused from that permission, and after experimenting with around 700+ man and woman from the Capital, they finally got a hang of what that energy was, and how do replicate it. But, that energy required some kind of fuel to work to exerce any kind of power, a fuel that, unfortunately, they didn't know how to get, or what it was.

Laila was saddened by that information, but she had already her mind for that moment, that energy came from the realm of the dinive, how a simple mortal could just replicate it? So she quikly got over it.

Another 6 years passed, Axel wal already 17 years old, Lillian had just became 12, and today was Abel's 9th birthday.

The ceremony was very lively, with many quests, foods and enternaiment. But, on the next day, Tomas and Laila received an information that shook their hearths. 3 of the neighboring Kingdoms armies were marching towards Britania, their intentions were clear; War.

Laila and Tomas didn't take too long as they summoned Gharrar and his subordinates to participate on the battle. And like so, they marched!

3 of the greatest warriors on the world, each one leading a whole army packed with powerful and good willed people, versus 3 contries.

The battle happened on a dark day, the rain didn't stop falling from the sky at that time, it was like god wasn't liking the sigh.

They engaged in a fight that lasted for 2 months, and that because they had to occasionally retreat to replenish supplies, or chase the other armies while they retreated. But in the end, Britania triumphed!!

On the battle field, Laila had lost 12 thousand soldiers and her most favorite horse. Tomas lost 5 thousand soldiers and got a sword piece stuck on his leg, he would never be able to run as freely as he did before, but of them all, the one that lost the most was Gharrar, of his 300 monstruous apprentices, just 30 survived, 4 of them were incapacitated to fight forever.

A week after that, Gharrar anounced that he was goin to retire to the mountains, his body was still fine, but because of the hearth break, he looked like a oldman on his death bed.

Laila and Tomas allowed him to retire, giving him the title of Grand Duke, and the surname Borian, and biding him farewell with a hug

3 years had passed. Finally, Axel had became 20 years old, and asked his mother to go on a journey around the world, he wasted to prove himself.

Laila was hesitant, but her husband had joined her son's side, so she gave him permission to do so.

But it seemed like luck wasn't on Laila's side. 1 year after her son's departure, a even worse information than the one of 4 years ago reached Laila's ears.

her son, Axel, had been killed by the prince of a empire in the other side of the continent for trying to free some slaves he had bought.

On that day, Laila- No, the whole Britania, brimmed with rage.

Without a second though, Laila reclared war agains the Gatai Empire.
