The Eternal Lands had been thrown into chaos.

The disappearance of a Chaos Lord was extremely rare. The disappearance was also quite dramatic as the Chaotic Mountain simply evaporated. The only thing that prevented the Light and Dark Gods from engaging in full-scale war... was gone. And the other Chaos Lords were mad. The First, was known as the guiding light for the junior Chaos Lords. Every time there was a new descendant of the Chaos Lords he was there. He taught the ways of manipulating Chaotic Energy, he showed the way of the Chaos Lords. When the Chaos Gods had risen, the Chaos Lords had been there. They followed the lead of the First. Building up a lair where they could live happily. The Chaos Gods sought destruction. The Chaos Lords sought chaos. When the Chaos Gods tried to kill the mortal races the First stopped them, and the rest of the Chaos Lords followed suit.

The Dark Gods and the Light Gods found themselves unable to get followers from the mortal races. As the Chaos Lords were ever vigilant. Always watching beyond the hills. The Chaos Lords shaped the Eternal Lands. They showed the way to immortality. And it was all due to the first. Now that the first was gone? The Chaos Lords were pissed. They hunted down all those who could have wanted the first gone. Namely the Dark and Light Gods. Who had the First directly in between their territories. Preventing them from engaging in total war.

The Dark Gods and their allies banded together to resist the tide of the Chaos Lords. Yet they fell in the end. The Chaos Lords energy counteracted any energy type used against them. The Chaos Lords punished the Dark Gods, and the ones who helped the Dark Gods were pulled into the crossfire. The Light Gods faired much worse however, the Light Gods were arrogant and thought they were about all others. The Light Gods refused to surrender until they were beaten into the ground. Thousands of Gods had been slain by the overwhelming might of the Chaos Lords.

The Chaos Lords, worried that the Gods would destroy everything the First had worked towards, used their abilities to separate the Land of Mortals and the Eternal Lands. Turning the Eternal Lands into the world of True Immortals, and the Land of Mortals into a land of Cultivators. The Chaos Lords then pursued to keep this barrier up, as a monument to the First. Who had disappeared from their realm. Not even to be found in the Afterlife.
