67 chapter 7
Before they enter the town, Leonard gave the newly created zombie bandit in order to make their way to the other side of town and wait for them the next day, just to avoid the hassle of the gate checkpoint.
Leonard specifically told them to avoid humans while doing so.
The zombies followed his order and make there way around the town.
Now only Leonard, Mavis, Ryan, Clementine and Tyrant left, they then headed to the checkpoint at the gate.
They rode on their horses and waited in line to be processed by the checkpoint.
The process is quite slow since there's are only two guards and a clerk doing all the checking.
Finally, it was their turn to be processed.
"I need your names, and what you're planning to do here." the clerk asked Leonard while holding a clipboard.
"Leonard Welser, just passing by, these are my companions," Leonard answered him.
The clerk wrote down his name.
"....now I need the rest of your party name." The clerk continues to ask.
"Mavis, Ryan, Clementine, and the big dude over there is Tyrant," Leonard answered him.
The clerk quickly scribbled the information down.
"Alright, please pay five gold coins as taxes." the clerk told them, Leonard just pulled out five coins and tossed it to him and headed in with his party.
The town was quite crowded even though it was night time, street stall began to set up selling grilled meats and other foods, and alcohol, the street was quite lighted up as well, other than the fact that this was not the capital city, it looks no different from one at night.
"Let go find an Inn and book our rooms, then we can head out for dinner," Leonard suggested, the girls agreed with him.
They quickly found themselves an Inn in the busier part of the town.
"We need two large room please," Leonard asked the Innkeeper, who was an old man.
"How many nights?" the old Innkeeper asked him.
"Just one will do," Leonard replied.
"Two gold coin." the Innkeeper told him, Leonard pulled out another two coin and pushed it toward the old man, the innkeeper then gave them two keys.
"It's down in the hallway, the second to last and the last room." the old man told them.
They quickly made their way to the room, if Leonard had any opinion to give to the room that he got, he had to say that it's not half-bad, the room was nice, tidy and clean, also brightly lit with candles.
He inspects every nook and cranny carefully until he was satisfied with it, after that he left and waited for the girls outside of the Inn while leaving Tyrant behind,"
Outside of Inn, Leonard waited for the girl to finish up and meet him outside so they could all go have some dinner.
"Alright let go find some dinner." Mavis walked out of the inn while holding Clementine's hand, and Ryan followed closely behind her, they joined up with Leonard and quickly head off to one of the stalls in town who was selling foods.
"Seriously Leonard? ….barbeque ribs at a roadside bar?" Mavis asked with her eyes twitching.
"What? You expecting a five-star restaurant?" Leonard looked at her.
"...it's just unexpected though, someone of your status actually wanted to eat here," Mavis added.
"What so wrong with a man eating at a roadside stall, little miss?" one of a drunk man who was drinking at the bar who just happened to hear her conversation with Leonard asked.
"I swear the stuff that the boss here cook is the best in town!" the man added and laugh loudly.
"Already then, please give us four serving of ribs please." Leonard then ordered the foods from the stall owner, next he finds a table so they could sit down.
They then waited for their food to arrive like everyone else, the ribs that they were waiting for arrived quite quickly at that, the steamy rich aroma filled their nostril when the ribs were placed on their table.
Leonard and the girls were about to dig into the ribs when a rude voice interrupted them, no- it actually interrupted everyone meal.
"Alright alright you commoners, scram so that the young master could enjoy his food!" a loud thug shouted while kicking table and chairs and kicking up more commotions in order to drive out the bar customers.
Immediately some of the guests stood up and quickly left the bar while leaving a bit of money behind to pay their bills.
"Brother, take your friends and leave quickly you don't want to be involved with those guys." the drunk man who had recommended them the food in the bar kindly walked up to Leonard group and warned him to leave.
The man too, quickly left the bar, leaving Leonard group behind after giving them his advice.
Now there's only Leonard and the girls that's were within left in the bar.
This, of course, attracted the attention of the thugs.
"Hey why are you commoners not leaving yet?!" the thug shout at them, which scared Clementine.
"Hold on for a minute." then a scrawny young man pushed the thugs away and walked toward their table and put his eyes on the women.
"Hello there beautiful ladies, why don't you stay with me for dinner? Just leave this poor commoner, he doesn't deserve you, beautiful ladies," he said while having a lecherous smirk on his face.
"Poor commoner?...I'm the third son of the duke who ruled over countless men, you calling me poor?" Leonard sneered inside his stomach.
"Scram, you are ruining our appetite with that disgusting face of your," Ryan spoke up in a cold tone, the same one when she went berserk back in the walking dead world.
"Excused me?" the young man face twitched as he heard Ryan answer.
"I said….Scram." Ryan repeated.
Veins began to pop up from the young man forehead and his face distorted into an expression of anger very quickly.
"Bitch! What did you just tell this young master! I'm the son of the mayor of this town, how dare you?!" he roared and raised up his hand in an attempt to slap Ryan in the face.
*Bang the sound of wood being shattered immediately stopped the man and everyone else, they all draw their attention to the one that created the sound.
There they saw Leonard fist on the hardwood table, no his fist went through the table.
"....you little shit….this is the second time my mood has been ruined today, and you're the cause of it, but it isn't enough for you huh, now you're even hitting on my companions and attempt to assault after she refused….so tell me...how...do..you..want..to DIE?!" Leonard glared at the young man with eyes full of insanity.
