Sky Heaven’s Emergency Meeting

"By the way, Mr. Payne has a duffle bag, a rare item that should only appear halfway through the main storyline. And guess what? If we performed the quest splendidly, he would offer a chain quest! If you want to receive all the rewards, come here and help me complete the quest in two days!"

"All the members online today, stop what you are doing, whether you are grinding monsters or farming coins. Just stop everything and get back in the city right now! If you didn't show up within an hour, you guys are done for and will be removed from Sky Heaven!"

Players within the Sky Heaven Core Group receive the message from their Guild Leader.

There are more than a hundred players that made up Sky Heaven, and these players were shocked to do the core when they read the message from their Guild Leader.

Lina forwarded the message she received from Sally and added the last message.

The members that read the message instantly stop what they are doing and start heading to Amethyst City. This is a chain quest for goodness sake and the rewards can change the balance of power in every core group playing in this virtual game.

As they run like there is no tomorrow, the other player who saw them run like that was confused. But seeing the monster they fought persistently getting ignored, they quickly dash forward hoping to hit the last strike to solo the experience.

"Hey! Don't you dare hit that monster! I first laid my eyes on it and it naturally becomes mine!"

"What kind of thinking is that? Is that a new philosophy?"

"Scram! That's mine!"

The members of Sky Heaven didn't mind them anymore, all their attention is focused on the message from their Guild Leader.

Although half of the members of Sky Heaven already reached Level 2 and a few of them are about to level up, they can't still resist the monetary rewards and item rewards. All of these members are hoping to be chosen to partake in the party quest and earn the item rewards. So even if the monster has only 1 HP left, they didn't hesitate to leave as soon as possible, because just in their group alone, they had a hundred competitor.

So they thought that being the first inside the city might leave a good impression on their Group Leader.

That member just got out of the City and was the first to arrive at their base of operations.

As for their base of operations, it is a guild house or any other place that shelters their members. They are actually in an abandoned open place.

This kind of place is all over the city and towns. Just the city alone, the number of these abandoned open places is above a hundred. These places are remote away from NPCs and other lively places inside the city.

Each core group and government community chose the abandoned places they first found giving them right in the place.

Since these places are open fields, they set parameters and stationed some of the members to look out and guard the place so intruders won't be able to enter their base of operations. This is important when a meeting like this is held.

Lina is currently waiting patiently in the center of their base of operations. She studies the surroundings and cannot lament their situations, about their operations to be exact. If they can only buy the property or license to build property for their base of operations.

All of the members in Sky Heaven are rich, if not rich, and have their own passive income that gives them leeway in life.

If they want, they can instantly build their base of operations, they just need to earn a license. Buying a license is expensive but with their accumulated and combined wealth, they can buy one basic license for them.

Unfortunately, the exchange system is yet to take effect. They do not have a choice but to carry on like this for the time being.

One by one, the empty space where Lina is waiting become crowded as members started to show up.

She's weirded out why these members are gasping for air, some even lie down on the ground while drenched in their sweat.

Just what happened? Lina knows that the monetary rewards and item rewards are part of the reason but shouldn't they take it easy coming here? It's not like I will choose them to partake in the party quest, as I have already chosen the member and they are currently on the way in the West Town.

Remembering the West Town, her lips twitch. They almost zeroed their fund because the 4 members she chose needed to buy a teleportation scroll. Time is of the essence and they only have five days to finish the party quest. Killing one ogre is already absurd and they need to kill 10 ogres and level 5 at that.

So to save time and to meet the condition, buying the teleportation scroll is a good choice. But this is a big gamble for them.

What if they failed to complete the quest within the given time? All the resources they spent will be gone without earning a little.

But that is the risk they must take if they want to take a step ahead among their peers.

There is a lot of core group that is more skilled than them. So even if it's a big gamble, they just need to swallow the expense and take the risk. After all, if they completed the quest, their advantage would far exceed those skilled core groups.

That was why she sent the most skilled member they have in Sky Heaven. Sally is included as the most skilled member in their group, add those 4 members, and they have a chance to complete the quest.

Lina look around and when she noticed that most of the members already arrived and they already rested and calm, she commence the emergency meeting.

"Everyone! Thank you for coming. I can feel your eagerness to partake in the party quest but I call all of you here for another reason. We will have to vote. Whether we stay in the Amethyst City and build our base of operation when the exchange system took effect or we will transfer our base of operation to West Town?"

Many members were baffled. They thought the reason they were called here is the guild leader will choose members to partake in the quest.

They start to voice their complaint.

"Guild Leader! I thought you will choose a member to partake in the party quest. I dash forward and come here, ignoring the monster with low hp that I fought hard, and yet we were called for another reason. And isn't it obvious, why would we transfer our base to a mere town? We are already in the city!"

"Yes, he's correct Guild Leader!"

Then some of the members start whispering with each other.

"I think the Guild Leader is slowly falling from her prime."

"Yes, I think Sally should replace her already."

One member nearby to these whispering members eyed Lina. Seeing the former cue, she quickly understood what is happening.

She then stomps her right food on the ground. Seeing her action, all the members quickly shut up. They know their Guild Leader, if she did this, means she's serious and mad about something.

"Don't you think I didn't know that?!" Then she raise her slender arm and pointed to the two members that gossiped about her.

"You two! You will be vanquished and never return to Sky Heaven! You are an imbecile! How dare you think that I'm falling from my prime?! Now out! Guard, get them and throw them outta here!"

The pointed members shiver and beg Lina to forgive them. They even call themselves idiots and stupid for thinking such useless thoughts!

The other member who saw the scene become nervous as well. Some of them want to do what the two idiots did earlier, luckily they hold themselves off and stay silent.

The rest of the members wish their ex-member on their journey. Those two will surely regret what they have done. Not only do they lose an advantage in playing this virtual game, but they also lose a lot in the real world. Their monthly salary is enough to make every manager in a company curse their life for having a low salary compared to them.

"Now? Are there any idiots who want to be kicked from Heaven Sky?!" She shouted and continue "You guys are impatient. I am about to tell you the reason why I consider that option. First, if sally and the most skilled player have completed the party quest and satisfied the NPC, then our future will be good. Because the NPC promised to give us a chain quest! That's a chain quest! Not any basic quest!"

Chan quest.

Chain quest.

Chain quest.

The two simple words chain quest echoed in their minds.

And simultaneously, they shouted "WHAT?!"

Seeing their reaction, Lina grins and raises her hands to silence them.

"That is the reason why. If we get that chain quest, whether it is part of the main storyline or not, as long as we friended that NPC and do not offend them, there's a possibility we can get a quest from him!"

One member raises his hands to ask a question which acknowledges by Lina.

"Guild Leader, how can you be so sure about getting a quest from him as long as we don't offend him?"

All the members nodded their heads, that information is too good to be true!

"What I am about to tell you is a big secret. So if I learned that it reaches the ears of other players or other core groups, I will exhaust everything I have to find the culprit. And not only the culprit will suffer in the game, but also in real life!"

Hearing her declaration, every one of them gulped and swear to zip their mouth as soon as they learned the reason for the confidence of their Guild Leader.

After all, Lina has access to the information of everyone that join Sky Heaven. Although the Supreme System doesn't let any third party get access to such information, it doesn't mean the Supreme System forbid players from sharing their sensitive information with other players.

This is true for every core group and government community.

Core Groups are funded by wealthy personalities or companies. This is because they have something that can generate income for those people, and that is by grinding inside the virtual game. So to keep the funding going, they need to be a successful core group.

To be successful, they need to trust each other. Besides, the company that funds them demanded everyone's information. So as a Guild Leader, it is natural that Lina has access to such information as well.

Lina sensed the atmosphere of every member is getting heavier with every second that passed, she decided to tell them.

"The NPC that gives us a quest is one of the few or rare Legendary Elite NPC!"

Legendary Elite NPC!

Legendary Elite NPC!

Legendary Elite NPC!

Again, those three words echoed in their minds.

And again, they simultaneously shouted "WHAT?!"

"Yes, what you heard is right. He has a duffle bag which is a very rare item that should only appear halfway through the main storyline. And what is the timeline? 10 years? Perhaps 15 years? Those of you know that only Legendary Elite NPC possesses such a rare item! And Sally happened to see it with her own eyes when she accompany the NPC to sell the weapons he stashed on his duffle bag!"

Silence took over for a couple of seconds and all the members gathered shouted in unison "Our Guild Leader is a genius!"

"Let's switch our base of operations to West Town, Guild Leader!"

Lina smiles and felt proud. If Sally and the 4 members he sent to help her succeed, then they will quickly travel to West Town by land.

Traveling by land in a group is advantageous for them, they can grind monsters and level up on the way to the West Town.

Meanwhile, in West Town. Sally and Gerard went back to Midnight Inn.

Gerard had a rather forced depressed expression emitting from him.

The reason being is, the weapon he sells named Goblin Maces is supposed to be sold at only 2 Copper Coins a piece. And this is well-known to every player. But oblivious to all of them, he was able to sell 1 Goblin Mace for 20 Copper Coins a piece!

And not to let Sally and other players learned about the unfair pricing, he forced himself to emit a depressed aura from him.

The reason for the unfair pricing? He has the Supreme System Menu Interface. A far superior to every player's System Menu Interface. Because he has it, he was given a quite special treatment.

A jackpot indeed!
