Acquitted of Immortality

Gerard watches the Kitsune seizures. As much as he wanted to help, he didn't have any idea how to alleviate the pain. Even the Supreme System told him the matter regarding the soul is absolute and any attempt by being below Deity Level to disturb the natural process of the ongoing changes in one's soul can only lead to hastening the process.

The soul can be used as a source of additional firepower but once tainted, it is impossible to stop the process unless the soul of a Deity decided to help.

So much to be called God in this game. Gerard mumbles inwardly.

He clearly understands why the Supreme System is not of help in this kind of matter. Aside from having no actual body, the latter is limited by his own strength. He even doubted if he reached the Angel Realm, the Supreme System would always unleash its godly power to assist him. Gerard lampooned.
