Chapter 1
Chapter 1: The beginning
The stench of blood and agony
He smiled as he looked around admiring the gruesome scene he had made.
Bloody corpse of various foes and even some strangers that were unfortunate enough to be there were scattered on the floor, all mutilated and deformed beyond recognition and the worst part was he didn't feel a thing, not even a little bit of sorrow for the people he had mercilessly slaughtered.
Li wei let out a small laugh at the thought of having a little bit of compassion on the trash on the floor. They were nothing but scum and scum deserved to be put down.
They deserved everything that happened to them and more,it was a shame he had to end things quickly but it wasn't his fault, he had other people to kill and other people to punish.
If they never wanted to be killed maybe they shouldn't have murdered in the first place.
"System open the status bar"
A blue screen appeared in front of him with the number 5 written on his screen. He clicked his tongue with annoyance. Looks like he still had a few bad eggs to dispose of. Then and only then would his greatest desire be fulfilled.

Blessings of the gods.
It was the power that ran the entire world.
When the world was to be destroyed by rifts opening up new dimensions for monster to crawl through, an angel of the gods came down and blessed humanity with power the gods had sent to them to be able to defend themselves , so it was called blessings of the gods. It was what our world revolved and was supposed to keep everyone safe. Well at least that was what it was but for Li Wei, it was nothing but a curse to him.
He had been born with no blessings basically making him useless in the modern world where every thing depended on your power so it was needless to say how hard he had it especially when you consider how much people could be cruel when they realise you are weak.
'Hui ying said she needed some money if I skip breakfast and dinner and only eat cup noodles for the next 4 days I would surely have enough to give her'
Hui ying, his little sister and last surviving family was nothing like him, she was smart, beautiful and had one of the highest blessings he had ever seen well it wasn't as high as those who worked with the 12 celestial saints but for someone who didn't have a single blessing anything above low tier was high.
He had been the one taking care of her ever since their parents died due to a monster attack that had happened when he was just 12 and she 9 years old.
His thoughts that had been wandering about were suddenly brought back by a sharp pain at the back of his head. Someone had thrown something at him.
He looked up only to see the people who had made his life a living hell, Jack,his classmate and personal bully.
"Hey powerless freak what the fuck were you doing don't you know it's time for my afternoon snack. Be a good boy and go get buy some for me"
Li wei could only nod and do as he was told while his classmates laughed and mocked him from the back. It was common for the weak to get picked on but even those with low blessings could fight back but he couldn't,not when he could get killed besides he was fine with everything as long as his sister was alright and happy
So what the hell was this man on the phone saying
"W-what?"
"I said I'm sorry for your loss,your sister was involved in a unfortunate accident with a fellow classmate of hers and she got some serious injuries so she didn't make it"
No, his little Hui ying was dead?
It was a lie, his little sister was in school waiting for him to come pick her up with a smile on her face
"I no you you're lying,you're lying!"
"I'm sorry sir but it's the truth please come to the xxxxxx hospital so we can discuss in further detail"
He sprinted as fast as he could with tears streaming down his face.
Who would do something to his little sister she was all he had left in this miserable world of his
'please gods let the doctor be lying, please let her still be alive'
But as always the gods never liked him because as soon as he reached the hospital he was escorted to his sister.
His heart dropped to the floor the moment he saw her,his sweet cheerful,bright little sister who always had a smile on her face was now laying on a metal table,skin once vibrant with life now a pale ashy colour.
A middle aged man with bushy brown hair and bags under his eyes stood next to her body,he was probably the doctor so all he had to do was to talk to him and he would fix it right? I mean his little sister couldn't be dead right!?
He rushed to the man before grabbing his shirt and pleading for him to bring her back
"Please *hiccup* she's, she's the only one I have left please bring her back,bring her back"
The man could only stare in pity as li wei cried on his clothes
"I'm sorry sir but we did everything we could but it wasn't enough"
He was aware of what it was like to lose a dear family member especially when that family member is your last one.
"Sir I know it's hard but if please for your sake don't grieve her too much, before she died she left me a message for you she told me to tell you before she died, she said please tell my hyung to not be too sad and I'm sorry that this happened I didn't know that he would get mad and attack me,so please forgive this foolish little sister of yours for leaving you alone like this.Goodbye"
An ugly sob left his mouth as soon as the doctor had finished relaying the message and he slid onto the floor
"Why? why would they do something so cruel to her, this was never supposed to happen so why would they do something like that to her"
"Judging by your response I take it you know how she died then"
He gave a small nod trying his hardest not to burst out into sobs again. The doctor sighed and gave him a pat on the back
"I'm sorry that this happened to you kid"
The doctor apologised and tried to calm him down but what would apologising to him do?
It wouldn't bring his sister back, would it?
Just as he was about to tell the doctor off the doors burst open and a group of teenegers along side a middle aged woman came in.
"Hello doctor my name is Selena Dawnson"
Li wei couldn't believe his ears, Selena Dawnson,who was the celestial saint of Athena and was one of the most powerful person in America. What was she doing here. The doctor was less impressed by her than him if his bored tone and mood had anything to say
"Oh and what do you want here exactly"
"My son here got into a scuffle with that girl behind you"
"So that's the jackass who killed her I was wondering what kind of monster would kill a girl just because they rejected you but I never expected your son to be the one to do it"
Wait killed his sister he looked at the boy standing behind her and how her was smirking, looking smug by what he had done. How could he smile with his friends when he can't see his sister's smile again. How could he!
He looked at Selena at least expecting some sort of sorrowful expression from her but she looked annoyed by the whole situation
"Look Jackson I'm not here to argue with you okay so here"
She pushed a fat stack of bills into his hands
"Take that and tell the public that it was an accident this shouldn't leave this room"
Wait what!?.
Did she just bribe the doctor to keep his sister's death a secret how why would she do that? Why
"How could you?"
She turned to look at him finally taking notice of the broken teenager before her on the floor
"And who is this?"
"He's -
"You're a monster"
"Excuse me-"
"You're supposed to be protecting us that's why you were assigned the position of a saint to protect us now my sister had been killed and you want to bury the matter just because it's your son who commited the crime?"
Selena frowned and glared at the boy.
How dare this nobody talk to her like that
"And who do you think you are?"
The doctor stepped In Front of li wei blocking him from her harsh glare while giving her a glare of his own
"That nobody is the brother of the girl your son killed"
Selena eyes widened in shock she didn't know the girl had a brother her son had told her that she was an orphan now she had to buy his silence too
"Look kid I need you to not go around spreading rumours you know nothing about ok. Don't worry about burying her. I have to do something to try and keep my reputation so I'll have her shipped to your hometown and bury her there. I mean people like that kind of stuff right?"
She was going to do what now?
