System Of Order

'Exchange the sacred flower with the highest rank weapon usable to me right now.’ [100 year old sacred flower * L85A2 assault rifle] With all information related to the gun transmitting in his brain, the young man running at high speed while performing inhumane maneuvers, without stopping, twisted his arm which held the newly acquired weapon to aim behind him and shot 3 times at three different spots in the darkness. ***** An heir of the Royal family of the demonic empire, while training in the wild, awakened the System Of Order. Granting him the ability to exchange any item for another of equivalent value, the young man was more wary than excited about the discovery. When tension between the human and the demon race reached an all-time high, it abruptly diffused before the two races declared an alliance. The question was, who could be capable enough to threaten the two hegemonic races so much that it forced them into alliance? The System Of Order awakening into MC. Could it be just a simple coincidence? ***** "This treasure is useless, not a problem though, I have the system" [Pendant of the Snow Queen * Crimson dagger of the Night emperor] "I have no use for this anymore, let's see if I get something useful out of this." [Rank four dagger * 256 MP camera] "Shit, gotta run, I need something for the current situation." [Rank seven halberd * Tower of suppression] ***** I will try my best to make the Main Character smart. The MC will be an anti-hero but NOT villainous, please know the difference. He will be unprincipled, not bound by the rules. The MC will mostly act alone but he WILL have people he can trust and fall back to. At times he might also need to act with them. It won’t be MC single-handedly being the main role, people won’t get weaker after becoming his allies, so they WILL play a role. There will be a complex plot, so plot lovers, where ya at? Come join me on this journey to write a novel based on a well thought out plot, where rather than just indomitable will or talent making MC unique, a myriad of different things like, his point of view of the world, his accumulating experiences leading to different decisions and changing personality, his losses actually discouraging him before jumping back up, makes him unique. Release rate will be 10-14 chapters (unless mentioned otherwise in chapter comments). I will make a discord server if enough readers demand about it. Do read the first few chapters before moving ahead :)

Limitations

First, the message he mentally conveyed into the talisman was, "system, open the shop."

Although the message was conveyed to the talisman, it was meant for the system, it was a command for the system.

So if the system could pry into the ongoing thoughts, it should have responded to the command, which it clearly did not.

Second, when he got the suggestions from the system on how to make his leg technique better suited for him. The suggestions he received differed from the one he had in mind.

He had been working on making his leg technique better suited to him to surprise his father. To further make his plan foolproof, he only ever did mental simulations to improve his technique rather than practicing it out in the open.

This idea clicked into his mind when the system said,

"[System is aware of everything going on in the outside world]".

He quickly caught onto the word "outside", further reaffirming his guesses. The reason the system's suggestions differed from his own was because he never practiced what he thought about.

So, the system's suggestions were what it calculated or compiled from other people's works on improving the technique who had similar physique to him.

Sighing in relief, Clarence commanded the system to open the shop.

[Shop]

[1. Weapons]

[2. Pills]

[3. Artifacts]

[4. Talismans]

[5. Puppets]

[6. Arrays]

[7. Knowledge]

[8. Cultivation scriptures]

[9. Treasures]

He opened all of them one by one and was amazed by the sheer amount of things he could exchange for.

But the [Weapons] & [Knowledge] section confused him. The weapons are basically artifacts which don't need mana to operate.

If the system is indeed aware of all things and therefore puts all possible things it "saw" In the shops. He was instantly terrified of what force could have even possibly researched this kind of weapon.

He decided to secretly search for the force when he got out of the mountains. As for what he'll do with them once he finds them?, he hasn't thought of it yet.

Clarence pushed aside the boulder and walked out of the cave after a good rest.

Looking up to see that the sky has already brightened, he moved out of the entrance of the cave and rushed in a random direction.

He stopped in front of a waterfall after two hours of wandering around, searching for beasts. It felt weird to him that he couldn't find beasts or even find a trace of them for two hours straight.

Going up near the lake formed near the waterfall, he scooped up a little water in one of his hands and put it in the artifact he made.

People with high mana sensitivity can move the mana in their immediate surroundings to do their work or activate some special things, like spatial equipment.

The artifact he made was one of those special equipment. Its use was to isolate the water at one side and the rest of the impurities mixed along with it on the other.

When Clarence carefully scrutinized the impurities, his breath clearly halted for a bit before resuming its usual pace. Putting away the artifact. He quickly started running as fast as he could, even executing his leg technique.

You could see his leg technique clearly had some improvements when compared to before and it was still improving as he ran.

Changing a technique to suit it for your own use already puts you above the rest, but if one improves while still executing it, it puts them on another level, genius.

As Clarence was running away, he abruptly snapped his head to the right side, as if sensing something. He switched his direction using a tree to direct his momentum to the left with no hesitation or unnecessary movements.

*RUSTLE*

*SNAP*

Without looking back, Clarence kept running as if even the time of turning his head around would make a difference. Sensing an attack, he quickly rolled onto the side before ordering the system.

"Exchange my dagger with the highest damage weapon or artifact."

[Rank two mithril dagger * modified CSAA]

He suddenly felt his sheath lighten for a brief moment before getting heavier. At the same moment, he also got an influx of information regarding the modified CSAA.

All the while, he kept dodging just by a hair's breadth. Clarence climbed up an enormous tree at full speed with the snake hot on his tails, the latter suddenly sped up in an attempt to ram into Clarence, who quickly sensed the attack and did a free fall.

The snake, without any fear, turned around and went for Clarence, its body descending at monstrous speed. Clarence did a front roll as soon as he landed on the ground. Stopping a little further away, he got up and turned around.

It wasn't that his legs wouldn't be able to bear the pressure, but that he didn't want to waste even a fraction of a second. Firmly landing on legs and waiting to stabilize his posture before running would waste way more time compared to rolling as soon as he landed.

The snake which was making a free fall after Clarence was right on its tail, but just as it was a few inches from the ground, it hit an obstruction it couldn't avoid since it was mid air.

Clarence, who had turned around and witnessed the situation, quickly dashed with all the strength his legs could muster to reach the snake before it regained its focus.

As soon as he was at a sufficient distance away from the snake, he held the modified CSAA in his hand and shot it at the eye of the snake.

*BANG*

With a loud bang, the bullet left the pistol before easily piercing the eye of the snake, further drilling its way into the brain.

*HISSS*

The snake hissed so loudly it hurt Clarence's ears who was nearby. It thrashed around madly as a last moment of struggle before its movements died down, indicating its death.

Clarence quickly put the snake carcass in his spatial bracelet, picked up the shell of the bullet and an item from near the tree, and ran as fast as he could.

He estimated the snake to be a heavily injured rank five. A beast at its level could attract even a rank six with an attribute of a similar group. Even if it's only rank four and five, which it attracts, even the slowest of the bunch would be faster than him.

So he ran without clearing his traces or of the battle except the obvious ones as he didn't have the luxury to, he was but a slightly stronger rankless demon.

In the earlier battle, the snake was so heavily injured, it couldn't use its mana sense or even its techniques or skills as it might just open up its wounds, it relied purely on simple physical movements to not disturb its wounds to push him to such a degree.

His high mana sensitivity helped him sense the snake earlier, enabling to put some distance, which further gave him time to make a strategy. The snake was also the reason he couldn't find any beasts, even after two hours of searching around. Its aura scared all the beasts.

As soon as he reached an enormous tree, he slowed down for a bit to bait the snake into attacking, which he dodged and quickly climbed the tree.

The earlier attack used up some of the snake's time to halt its momentum, giving Clarence some time to widen the gap.

After climbing a considerable distance on the enormous tree, he once again baited the snake into attacking, allowing him to dodge and safely free fall.

Else if he would've simply turned around and jumped, the snake would have attacked mid air where he couldn't have dodged the attack.

When he was a few inches away from the ground, he stabbed the dagger horizontally into the tree and rolled away.

He knew a level two dagger can't pierce rank five snake's skin, so instead of placing it upwards on the ground, he stabbed it horizontally on the tree to block the snake and distract it for a moment when it would free fall.

Taking the time when the snake lost its focus, he quickly closed in on it and shot it in the eye. As he didn't want to test the limits of the pistol by shooting elsewhere from a distance.

He already had a few guesses in his mind about what might have happened, for all this situation to have transpired around him.

I hope you like the battle!, I aim to write the battles in a way thats engaging and does not only rely on pure power level.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
