The last emblem - Watch

It was raining heavily. All the prisoners of the central prison of the city Gettykark were looking outside of the bars, Reminding them about their past crimes due to which they are here.

Some are having the guilt for what they had done and some are still confused about why they are here. The sound of rain and the darkness shaded by the overcast cloud mould the situation so depressing.

Jack is among the most intelligent and literate prisons. A brilliant scientist. He was a bit different from other prisoners or simply avoid what other likely to do. Being in the corner side of his small cuboidal room he was lost in the time when he was with his girlfriend, Jasmin.

But, the fate was so cruel to him that he killed his girlfriend and surrendered himself.

He always keeps the watch with him, which his girlfriend gave him on his 25th birthday. Although, the wristwatch was not working still holding that in his hand he could think back to their old red-letter days. He loved Jasmin the most but the dilemma that emerged before him, which bound him to kill her.

The watch was very close to him. That was the only emblem of Jamin, he had. Jack always keeps the watch in his right pocket of his prisoner's suit. Except for the day, when they have to present their suit before the chief incharge of the cell for regular checking.

It was like the same day, the cell incharge called every prisoner to come with their suit. Jack always keeps the watch under his pillow during the checking days.

They all are presented before the cell chief incharge.

" keeping anything without my permission , is completely illegal " said the cell incharge.

He added," And if I found anything then you will lose that one forever".

"Can we keep things that are illegal but with your permission?" asked Johnson, one of the prisoner.

" Is that not enough that we allow you to wear the prisoner suit?" Said the cell incharge.

"You will be left naked if a small element is there with you without my permission". He added.

The checking was completed in an hour. When Jack moved back to his cell and picked up the pillow for the watch.

It was not there. He searched in the whole room but he got nothing.

(During the suit checking some officers checked the room of every prisoner individually )

When he looked out of the prison he found the cell incharge was holding the watch. Jack ran towards him, with tears rolling down his eyes. He just wants to save the last memory of his girlfriend.

" I'm begging you, please! " requested jack.

" This is not any harmful element for anyone, this is the last thing I have, to survive ", Jack was crying so hard.

The bars of the room was slammed before him. Jack left inside the room and the cell incharge dropped the watch from the 2nd floor of the prison before his eyes. Everybody could hear the cracking sound of the watch.

Some warm drop of tears escaped from jack's eyes. He dropped down in his knees.
