Chapter 6 - Injured

As everyone gathered towards the center of the arena Miss Kylie said "Now that you all are here, I remembered that I told you guys to study the Basic Magic Book in your free time. So did you guys studied?".

The students look at themselves and some even began to smile and scratch their head. She continued "It seems that some of you did not studied last night huh? Well it's not my problem because now you will choose your own partners and both of you will fight between each other. I will watch and analyze your weakness and see how much you have studied. But before we start let me show you guys a mid tier magic."

She looks to the other side of the arena while pointing her right index finger in front and then shouted "Fire Arrow!". A magic circle were created and suddenly comes out so many fire arrows from it. It began firing at the empty arena for three second and then the magic circle disappeared and so do the fire arrows. Smokes and dust filled the arena. The students watched with excitement and some even shocked to see their first mid tier magic. She then looks toward her students and smiled "This is why magic is the best.".

The students then started to find their own partners and the battle of stupidity begin. Miss Kylie asked the students to fight with each other with their names being called to the arena.

"Now remembered the magic circle that you had studied yourselves before and try to imagine and create it. Then you may start the battle between you and your partner." Miss Kylie said while watching two boys who face each other in the arena.

"I'm gonna beat your ass Motherfucker!" said the boy with protruding teeth.

"I'll smack your face till your mother can't even recognize you." said the boy with square face.

They begin the fight with both of them shut their eyes and pointed their hands towards each other. A magic circle was being created in their hands and then both of them shouted at the same time.

"Wind Slash!"

"Lightning Strike!"

The magic shot off from the magic circle and met in the middle. It then created a spark and BOOM!. Dusts were formed around the two boys while the others tried to find the their silhouette in the dusts but were in vain. When the dusts started to disperse, all of the students laughed. The two boys fainted while their clothes are ragged.

"This is going to be a long day." Miss Kylie said while massaging her forehead. "Medic!"

The class continued as usual. Most of the battles were boring as some of them happened like the two boys, some can't even aim, some are too scared to cast their magic and some can't even cast their magic because they didn't study and then Vasco and Peter names were called. They were the last ones and it was their turn.

"Now get the battle started and let's end the class." Miss Kylie said wearyly.

Vasco and Peter walks to the center of the stage and as they were facing each other.

Vasco was shocked to see the system giving him quest. "Quest?" he thought to himself then he focus and look at Peter.

"Let's have some fun shall we?" Peter chuckled.

"Try to avoid killing me." Vasco smiled.

The battle starts as soon as Vasco finished saying his words. Vasco ran up to Peter while Peter were running sideways while both of them aiming their index fingers at each other and then muttered at the same time.

"Fireball"

"Lightning Strike"

The two spells were fired at the same time but it missed. Both of them dodge and then Peter suddenly stops running and yelled "Lightning Slash". The magic shot off towards Vasco who was chasing Peter. When the magic almost reached him, he muttered "Shadow Evade.". He became a shadow and disappeared. Peter looks around to find him when suddenly a silhouette appeared behind him and said "Fire Pillar.". A magic circle shows up below Peter's feet and before the spell managed to take off he gets back at Vasco with another spell. "Earth Punch.". A block of earth suddenly came towards Vasco face and smashed him. He blocks with his hands and were being pushed back and it managed to hurt his arm while Peter managed to dodge a little but the fire spell had time to catch his right feet and burn it with his pants. Both of them fell at the same time. Even though the fight was short but at least it was intense and a little bit longer than the other battles before.

"Did you tried to kill me?!" Peter yelled.

"No but did you?" Vasco replied.

"Yes but only because your spell almost burns me to crisps." Peter said while he tried to stand up.

"Well even if you were being cooked by the fire, I would have stopped it in an instant." Vasco shrugged.

Their classmates were shocked and stunned to see both of them battled with so much skill that the fight was intense. Almost all of them clapped their hands while some of the boys glared at both of them and snorted.

While both of them were fighting and yelling at each other, Miss Kylie muttered to herself "Now this class is something. Two hidden gems in a class and that is rare. If both of them were being teach and learn properly, they can progress much farther and can even be a great general or mage. Great calculation, study enemy weakness, learn how to take advantages and how to properly use magic. I'm gonna keep watching this two. They need to be train more to improve." She smiled and then yelled "As the last battle concluded class is dismissed! Medic! Take the boys and heal them!" Then she turn around and left.

Vasco and Peter just got back from the infirmary and arrived at their room. Both of them sat down on their own beds and look at each other. Suddenly both of them laughed.

"That was an intense fight and you are great in using your spells. It was my first match using magic and it was exciting. Let's battle everyday after this so that we can hone our skills and learn from each other." Peter said while lie down on his bed.

"Yeah it was a good fight. If you want then how about we go to the arena and train at 5 p.m everyday. Sounds good?" Vasco asked.

"Yeah sure." Then Peter dozed off.

"He must be really tired from that fighting." Vasco smiled, lie down and look at the ceiling.

Vasco thought to himself "What a strange system. I guess I need time to learn more about it" he felt sleepy and his vision turns black.
