Chapter 0 [Prologue]: The Apocalypse Has Began.

Chaos.

That was the main word that could describe this scenario.

A stampede of people came rushing pass a little boy, paying no mind to him as they desperately ran for their own lives.

Kris - the small boy - was mildly confused, thus he watched the crowd of mindless people dashing away. They had terror written on their faces as they stormed away.

"RRROOOAAARRRRR!!!"

Kris concentration was abruptly disturbed by a loud, powerful and mighty roar that deafen his ears. He peered at the direction where the roar had came from, and as he did, his eyes were filled with fear and confusion.

A couple of miles away, a gigantic monster stood, towering over a skyscraper with its mere height.

"Wh-what's going on?" The boy inquired with fearful eyes. "Where's mom and dad?"

The boy looked desperately at a store where many people were rushing out of.

Two grown adults then came out of the store - a lady and a man.

The lady pointed at the child from afar while looking at the man beside her. The two then dashed towards the child.

Those two were the child's parents. Seeing them, a river of relief washed over him. But they weren't out of the woods yet.

Suddenly, a bright blue screen appeared infront of the boy. He was caught off guard by its sudden appearance.

[You have awakened your system because the of a main quest!]

[You now have the power to transcend human limits!]

[First Main Quest: The Apocalypse Has Began!

Grade: Advance.

Difficulty: Moderate.

Description: Players have been giving 10 years to prepare for the apocalypse that will take over the world. With the help of the system, towers, dungeons, monsters, skills, etc, you should all be ready for the apocalypse.

Pass Condition: Survive the first day of the apocalypse.

Fail Condition: Die during the scenario.

Reward: 1 Achievement and Title. Type and Grade depends on how you survive the scenario.

Duration: 1 day.]

The male had finally reached the small child. He swiftly swooped up the kid while dashing away with the lady pacing at his flink.

"You alright, buddy?" The man inquired, seemly the child's father.

"Yeah!" The child yelled in a heart melting tone. "And there's this weird blue thing flying infront of me!"

"Yeah, we see it too," said the dad while reading the system's quest. "So that's what all this is!"

"I almost forgot about this," said the mother while looking at her system quest as well.

While his parents were finding more details about the situation, Kris was scrolling down on his interface.

- Player creates a concentrated ice pillar that acts as a shield and an attack.

- The Player is allowed to see enemies attacks and status.

- The Player is able to heal wounds.

"Wow! Cool..!" The child said as he read the his stats, attributes and skills.

The time that has been reckoned to be the end has final approached.

Suddenly, a skyscraper came crashing down at a alarming speed. No one realized, but Kris did.

He peered at the building making its way down; crumbling as time went by.

"Mom? Dad?" The child inquired in concern.

His mother than answered with a puff, "What is it sweetie?"

"Look!" The child pointed up in the sky.

The sky was grey as it could be, foreshadowing a rainy and gloomy day. The dark clouds blocked the clear and beautiful sky in envy and were ready to cry, just like everyone after this dreadful event to swallowed the earth.

"Huh?" She looked up into sky. At first she didn't see what her son was pointing but after a while, only a blind and deaf person could not feel the presence of doom.

"Honey!" The mother came to a stop and grabbed on to her husbands collar, dragging him back to safety.

"Woah!" He said as he was pulled back.

At that very moment the building hit the ground with a mighty thud. A thick cloud of dust engulfed the family and everyone else behind them. There path from danger was blocked!

Kris body randomly fell on the ground. He also hit the back of his head that dealt him immense pain.

He didn't pay attention to the screen infront him. Maybe because the tears in his eyes blocked his vision or it was the concern he had for his parents.

The mighty sound of the building crashing against the ground deafen Kris's ears; he couldn't hear anything, but that was only temporarily.

"Mom! Dad!" He shouted. Only thing he could hear was a buzzing noises.

A few seconds later, he could hear, but it was dreadful muffled. Despite his disability, he searched for his mother and father.

Suddenly, two mighty thuds were heard. They shook the earth as if they were earthquakes. But it was all because of a single entity.

From the mist, Kris stared in the sky at the heavenly beast infront of him.

[Heal] has been passively activated even though it is an active ability!]

While looking at his status, furious growls could be heard behind the child. They sounded like they came from zombies.

The most of dust had finally cleared. When Kris turned to look behind, where the building has crashed, he saw a hoard of mindless creatures - zombies.

"[Soul Appraisal]" said the child with a trembling voice as he backed away from the creatures.

[Not enough mana!]

"Kris!" A voice called, sounding like his father. "Are you alright?!"

The man quickly picked up his son and hugged passionately in his arms.

"Yeah.." said the child nervously. "B-but what are does things?"

The father turned his head at the direction of the creatures. He sighed heavily and said, "*Sigh* Don't worry about them. I'll protect you."

It seems as if they are the only ones that were alive in the area.

Kris's father brought him into a nearby building; it was the same store they had rushed out of.

Inside was empty as it could be. Inside was lonely and eerie, as if an evil spirit was patrolling the store.

The father placed his son behind one of the many counters.

Finally, Kris asked the question that was crawling under his skin. "Dad.. where's mom?"

"Oh!" The father was caught off guard by this sudden question. He was sweating buckets as if he was murderer and being interrogated. "She's alright, son."

That was all he could say.

"Stay here and keep still. I'll be right back," said the dad as he stormed out of the store once again. Little did he know that those would be the last words he said to his precious son. Or did he know does were his last?

The son answered with a fear filled voice. "O-okay!"

After a few minutes have pass, he father was nowhere to be seen.

Kris was also in tries because of three things: Where was mom and dad, and am I going to die.

Outside, multiple bangs, thuds and whacks could be heard. It was horrifying to say the least.

The growls of the dead filled the wimping boys ears.

Suddenly, the crashing glass came next. They were inside and were coming for him. Is he going to die?

No.

That was what Faith had decided and the creater of whole thing had decided.

The presence of a sinister being loomed over the young boy. The atmosphere was dense with a dark fume and shadows of evil covered the boys body. This wasn't of his own doing.

Was he being protected by evil or was he being hunted by evil?

After while the growling had stop.

Scared, yet concerned, the child slowly got up to obverse his surroundings.

He was then jumped scared by a shadow. No, a entity that was built like a shadow. It was 2 dimensional but 3 dimensional.

The shadowy entity chuckled, as if he had seen what had happened in Kris's system.

It opened it's mouth wide. Inside was pure and utter darkness. Then it snapped its mouth closed, bitting of the child's head.

In the darkness of death, this is what child saw.

[You have died]

[The Creater has fondness over you]

[You will not die!]

[Achievement gained: Cheater of Death!]

[With this achievement you've gained a title: Death's God]

[You will not die by any other creature except the creater.]
