Chapter 1: Dae-Yang

Two figures were sitting in a room, facing each other. The room was dark, yet there was light in it. Everything was invisible, yet everything could be seen perfectly. One of the figure broke the silence.

"What.... What is this place? "

"This, is the Afterlife."

"The WHAT? "

"You died in a car accident, Dae-Yang. And now, your soul left your body to choose the paths you will follow hereafter"

"So, you mean souls and stuff really exist? And who are you? "

The figure smiled.

"I am Kaotl, the God of Guidance."

Dae-Yang was confused. Everything was happening so quick. Everything he remembered was that he was dying. He closed his eyes, and the very next moment, he was sitting, in front of this deity.

"Don't be scared, mortal. This is the place where I guide the souls to their next destination. And after all, this is not your first time here."

"You mean I have been here before? "

"More than a million times, I guess"

"So why don't I remember all those times seeing you, and my past lives?"

"Because once the souls leave this place, their memories are erased. Now, let's not discuss about that much and talk about what's next to do."

"You mean... "

"You have another, and your final life to live."

"Wait, final?"

"Yes. A soul is destined to reincarnate 10,48,001 times. And you have just one final life left, which can't be wasted. In your last life, you were a kind of failure in yourself." Dae-Yang frowned. "However, it can't be undone. So in this life, I want to ask you. What are your motivations?"

Dae-Yang remained silent for a minute. Then he looked at Kaotl, with a look so determined that he didn't looked like the person he was for the past 20 years.

"I don't want to forget how my past life was. I want it all to be in my head, so that I learn from it, whenever necessary."

Kaotl was shocked. He looked at Dae-Yang for a while, and then laughed the next. With an unusual shine in his eyes, he said -

"Okay then. For the world you are about to enter, this might be helpful. Now, young man, you may leave this place and continue to your final journey."

Kaotl stood up. So did Dae-Yang. They shook hands, and the very next second, Dae-Yang found himself in a hospital bed.

"Wh- What the?

Where am I. Wasn't I in a car accident. Did someone saved me? A- And, whats this window floating in front of me? "

As he was confused, a doctor came into the room.

"You are finally awake? Looks like the experiment went right again."

"Ummm, may I please ask who are you?"

"I am Kim Roberto, a professor and scientist. I work at System, Inc. And also, I am your creator."

"My creator?"

"Yes. You are bio-engineered human, formed from the same cells that humans are made of."

"This is, confusing. And what is this floating window? "

"This is the S.Y.S.T.E.M" It doesn't have a specific full form. As for now, your System is underdeveloped. You have to train yourself and cultivate the system so that you can be helpful to mankind."
