Particle Practice (2)

Different from the rumours, the sea of consciousness wasn't a sea in the truest sense. Every individual has a unique sea of consciousness.

One may have a living room as his inner consciousness while someone else may have a burning hell as his consciousness. It is merely a unique projection where the constellation like particles are present.

Particle, on the other hand, also does not mean a tiny, colourful sphere. The particles inside the sea of consciousness may come in many shapes and sizes like– Sword, Elephant, butterfly, helicopter, nail cutter, guitar, a can of soft drink.

Right now, Arav was floating deep inside an ocean. This was his sea of consciousness. The whole space was filled with water and remained empty, except for a little pink coloured fish. The fish itself wasn't in a good condition and half of its body was injured.

Incomplete Particle.

These are the types of particle that have almost no future and takes a lot of resources and almost 20 years of nurturing before one can even start practising in the ways of particles.

In his previous life, Arav also had to reluctantly accept this fish as his base particle or the point of origin. If it wasn't for David's newfound method, it would have taken him 20 years of nurturing before he could start his practice.

But now, he knew that this fish is one of the many particles in his sea of consciousness. Contrary to how it sounds, finding a perfect particle that completely resonates with the body is very hard to find and may even take years. Of course, none of the humans knows of this method. This method would have been invented in almost 3000 years by his own efforts.

"Thank you for supporting my past life. But I have no need for you."

His cold words sounded in his sea of consciousness and he immediately moved around the floating fish.

He kept moving in the similar direction for almost 6 minutes before he came near a patch of coral reef. He took a left turn from this point and after 15 minutes, he found a wrecked ship floating strangely in the middle of an ocean.  The whole ship had a medieval structure made of wooden planks and a gold skull was placed on the location of the figurehead.

"Should be near."

He dived straight down from this point until he reached the seabed.

The moment he stepped on the seabed, he felt strange fluctuations around him. This was the resonance between the man and his point of origin.

On the seabed, there were many small rocks and Arav had to put in some efforts to find the object that resonated with him. The task was easily accomplished because of the intensity of the fluctuations leading him to the light grey coin.

This was the base particle that took him almost a hundred years to find in his previous life.

"Let's get this started."

He held the coin tightly in his hand and sat down cross-legged on the seabed. Slowly, the whole sea of consciousness started to shrink down. The waves of the ocean and many particles present inside his sea of consciousness shook fiercely. Arav opened his palms and a small vortex developed from the coin, sucking everything inside the pitch black vortex.

The whole ocean started to converge at a single point as the vortex kept on growing bigger and bigger. During this process, Arav didn't feel anything because the suction force wasn't directed towards him. He looked on, as many particles present inside his sea of consciousness got sucked inside the vortex.

There was the pink fish, coral reefs, wrecked ship, a treasure chest, a golden watch, a round pearl, a pitch black trident and many more.

No matter how powerful these particles looked like, they were the same as the grey coin or even inferior because the coin resonated with his body perfectly.

After full thirty minutes, the whole ocean-like sea of consciousness was almost sucked in as Arav suddenly felt a pressure forcing him out of his sea of consciousness.

His body didn't move and remained as stable as a mountain. This was the part where he had to put in some effort. As the water was getting absorbed in the vortex, Arav could see outside the water and only saw a pitch black space of nothingness.

The first step of particle practice was divided into three steps.

Locating the point of origin.

Merging of the point of origin and sea of consciousness.

Converting the merged particle into a specific charge.

The first step was easy for everyone since all of them thinks that the first random particle they are transported to is their fated particle of origin.

The second part only requires the practitioner to concentrate and try to activate the particle.

It is the third step that is difficult for the practitioner. The formation of a charge is an optional procedure for the practitioner and one doesn't have to endure and go through this process. It is just that, this process increases the quality of the point of origin by a significant amount.

After the last drop of the ocean was devoured by the coin, Arav was immediately subjected to a huge pressure from the nothingness he was floating in.

As the pressure on his body increased, the coin, on the other hand, kept on shining. This was the process of charge collection. Even though this place was very exerting for Arav's consciousness, to the particle, this place was a gold mine that could be only visited once.

The surface of the coin started to change gradually as the grey lustre of the coin increased by one time.

"One charge collected."

Arav muttered as he endured the pressure. If it would have been physical pressure, his small body would have collapsed after three rounds, but here, his mental resistance now had an added million years of experience. This made him very resilient to mental pressure.

After a few minutes, the coin shined again as it had already lost its grey colour and turned dim golden.

"Second charge collected."

He had to collect as many charges he could. He understood the significance of these charges. Not only will they increase the quality of his base particle, but they will also help him in the second Level of the Particle practice.

His whole body was at its limit. His physical body was also affected by the increasing pressure and his bedsheet was drenched in his sweat.

'One more.'

He gritted his teeth as the pure gold coin started moving around in the nothingness. The shine on its body started dimming this time and it finally turned into a completely dull, golden coin.

"Five charges are enough for now. I will have one more chance to collect more."

He opened his eyes and sighed.

Arav looked at the golden coin that had appeared on his palm.

"Let's complete the first major step of the particle practice. Integrate."

He placed the gold coin on his forehead and the whole room shined golden for a moment. Most of the children from Noble family like Arav's will already have connected with their point of origin. This was to increase their body's foundation and also allow them to have a practice of modifying small genetic chains in their bodies.

Even Tanya had modified her body's genes and her strength was comparable to the Olympic Weightlifters from the Industrial Era, whereas, Arav only had the strength of an average adult from the industrial era with the use of expensive genetic solutions.

"The Point of Origin is the centre of my whole body. It is like a solar system where the point of origin is the sun and other genetic chains are like planets revolving around the sun. Slight changes in the point of origin will have multitudes of changes in various genetic codes of my body. This is why everyone should first test the changes on a VR set before actually making the changes in reality."

Arav had once again returned to his sea of consciousness and it was completely different from before. He was floating in a black space with a Giant Golden Coin in the centre. He could see various types of silhouettes of different animals and instruments floating around the golden coin.

"All these are the genetic codes that represent various aspects of my body. Even I can't remember all of them."

He sighed in frustration as he already saw a grey bicycle moving in a strange pattern. He couldn't remember this from his past life because his codes have already been altered. The moment he chose the coin instead of the injured fish, his body's structure had already differed from his future self.

"Well, let's start with the familiarisation."

The first process of the Particle Practice was to find and integrate with the point of origin.

The second process of the process is to familiarise with every genetic code and start with the modification.

At present, Humanity only knew about these two processes. They had yet to understand the impossibilities that this Technique could achieve.
