[Take the shot]
Artemis ordered as an Android held a sniper rifle as it crouched next to a piece of wood log outside of the magic dome. He had ordered the Android reinforcements inside the dome to continue to engaged the Demigod hovering in the air, glowing with divine light as it currently fighting against the group of Androids.
The loud bang burst of fire roared out from the sniper bullet against the trees and speed breaking the sound barrier countless times. A single tracer easily peirced through the magic dome and headed towards the Demigod side of her head, about to explode her brains out.
But before the bullet penetrated the demigod's head, the bullet stopped between the thumb and the index finger as it gripped the bullet with lightning speed.
Joan analyse the sniper bullet while dodging every attacks like the Energy Blades and bullets without paying them attention.
"Interesting work, interesting metal, you really are came from another world. However, you never learn a lesson do you?" Slightly moving her eyes towards the Android, from a few kilometres, the Demigod still knew where the latter was.
With a simple levitation spell, the sniper bullet levitated next to her, with a flick on the bullet, the bullet exploded as it headed towards back to the sniper Android, unlike moments ago, the bullet was now twice as faster than before.
Before the Android could react, the bullet already penetrated the android as it's head exploded by the same metal, the power was so powerful that it could completely obliterate a small island.

Artemis faced turned darker as he watched and listened to the reports coming in from the battle with the Demigod. He looked up at the live streaming recon drone video over the battlefield, seeing the eye-catching divine Demigoddess, brightly slaughtering the group of Androids beneath her.
"Commander, requesting immediate support, they are reporting heavy casualties," Johnathan reported from his station. "Orders?"
"Tell them to fall back if they can," Artemis ordered. "What's the status of the Railgun defenses?"
Caitlyn turned and looked at Artemis with a surprised expression on her face. "Zack, I know that demigod is a pain in the ass but the Railguns is not complete yet. We can let an Elite Android take care of it, their strength is 89% equal to that Demigod,"
"No, can't risk more drones, we pretty don't know much about that Demigod's magic, you see what she cast those two spells, whatever what other magic she held, it might be a huge threat towards the Elite Droids, resulting more casualties," Artemis countered. "Now status?"
"As of last maintenance reports, Engineering drones nearly finished building most of the railguns but No.15 was 97% complete," Michael replied as he pulled up the records. "The Railgun can be fired, but not advisable."
"Bring it up online," Artemis said.
"Aye, aye Commander!" Michael replied reluctantly. "S-037, power up Railgun No.15!"
"Copy that, powering Railgun No.15," The Android on its station replied, for few seconds, it replied again, "Systems all green,"
"Target that thing," Artemis calmly ordered.
"Aye! Target locked on!"
Using the unique radiation given off by the Demigod's powers, the Recon Drone hovered above the battlefield helped triangulated targetting data back to the Machine Base's fire control computers, measuring distance, wind, atmospheric density, pressure and projectile drop.
The servo motors of whined as the massive 108,000kg main gun turret rotated, to face the direction of the target. A single rectangular railgun barrel hummed and tilted upwards as it aimed itself.
"Commander, distance 4658.2 kilometers away, Minimum impact from the planet's earth curvature and gravity," Johnathan reported.
"Do we have a clear line of fire to the target?" Caitlyn asked.
"Positive!" Michael replied.
"Good, now do it," Artemis said.
"Aye Commander!" Michael shouted. "Prepare Railgun No.15 for firing solution!"
"Preparing Railgun No.15 for firing solution, "Gun loaded and standing by,"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dozens of monster cores harvested from the deceased S and A-rank monsters were refined into a stable form of a liquid which was stored into a battery like canister. The mechanisms in the Rail Cannon, rammed the canister into a converted generator which hungrily sucked the refined cores into pure electrical energy, charging up the capacitors.
As the firing solution was calculated and keyed in, the gun turretz tilt up to the same elevation and hummed, waiting to be fired.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Zack, Railgun No. 15 is ready to be shot," Caitlyn said.
"Good, Fire at will," Artemis calmly said.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 420mm rail cannon hummed as magical energy flowed into its rectangular conductive rails. The Railgun was no other regular Railgun but a prewar weapon rebuild by Caitlyn, it was built and designed by a Japanese weapon tech department known as 'Hanjin-Shibusawa', one of the most famous Megacorporations, the weapon they build is one of their most famous creations, nearly all of the battleships were armed with the those types of railguns which was state of the art during the commissioning. Now the latest frigates and cruisers in the past mounted the latest project and above models since 3022. But that does not mean that these Railguns model was any weaker than its more recently developed counterparts.
Heat dispensing radiators shields popped out on the armored turret body as the weapon readied itself for the command to be fired. Inside the turret, autoloaders rotated the ready ammunition stores and selected one streamlined armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot projectiles each weighing over 9kg. They dropped onto a loading hoist which carried the shell into the rear breach of one of the railgun and an automatic rammer shoved the projectile into its respective gun.
A clamp gripped the armature covering the projectile in place as the rammer rotated and locked the gun breech securing the weapon. All these took less than five seconds to be completed while the Androids doubled checked their consoles and switches that everything was operational.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Fire at will,"
With one calm command, and a split second later, several kilometers from the Machine Base, a large barrel of the Railgun roared. The projectile was tossed out by the magnetic fields hit faster than a bolt of lightning within a small fraction of a second, causing a vacuum tear in the very fabric of the atmosphere. Unlike its original, the Railgun right now was harvesting an A-rank Monster core the Androids killed a few weeks ago. Unlike those batteries from the original, the A-rank monster core is far more powerful than the energy battery from the original, thats why the projectile flew surpassed the speed of light.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Danger close! All units fall back! Get in to cover immediately!]
Caitlyn yelled at the Androids, shouting to those still fighting the Demigod.
The Demigod flew around, killing every single Android Soldiers one by one with so much confidence on her eyes. Her body was constantly recovering from her magic. She forcefully held onto her link to the Blue Goddess divine powers, protecting the link from the metal demons weapons.
"Demons! All of your efforts are meaningless! Defeating a demigod helped by the blue goddess herself is completely useless! All of you are just parasites needs to rot in the depths of hell!"
As she said those words, she was about to cast another super tier spell one more time and finally killing all of these metal demons.
But before she could complete the casting, something slammed into Joan, and the Blue Goddess blessing dissapeared instantly, vanishing from the mortal world as if it did not exist at all. A sharp crack of thunder, a hundred, no, a millions times louder than the roar of a rifle lagged by 0.000034 seconds behind the projectile that slammed directly into the unaware female Demigod.
The surviving Android Soldiers hunkering down under cover inside one of the Android's active forcefield device. screams and wails from nearby animals as the blast wave overloaded their bodies, battering and tossing them like a ship in a storm. Weakened trees were torn up and uprooted, crashing down as the ground shook from the passing of the low flying projectile traveling at unpredecented speed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joan screamed as her mind could not comprehend what was happening. The terror she has not felt so long since she first break through towards Demigod realm two centuries ago. She felt her heart at the back of her throat and could barely feel any part of her body, only vaguely seeing something dark nesting on her belly.
She barely felt the heat caused by the friction of the air against her body as she suddenly traveled few millions of km/h with a third of the projectile's head buried in her abdomen. Her armor began to disintegrated by the powerful energy, her skin turned red, and peeled off, as the air scraped her remaining clothes and skin off and the heat burned her hair away and flash cooked her flesh off, exposing her bones, even her magic won't save her from this condition.
Before her brain could process her dire situation as 0.00000045 second later, she and the projectile slammed deep into the side of the mountain range, completely destroy few entire few kilometer size mountains, sending a mushroom cloud up into the air and sent pieces of rock and stone flying kilometers of meters away.
Joan Fernandez, a woman renowned for her might and glory, her position and triumphs, was now reduced to a bloody mess. A bloody mess of what she once was, she died along with the rest of her army. It is now as one of the most powerful Demigod's end.
Hours passed as Gunship Drones, Research Drones were circling the mountain range looking at the condition of the Demigod, while more Android Soldiers reinforcements arrived, taking out Joan's remaining army who are locate on the outskirts of the battle or outside the super tier spells radius, the unlucky ones enough to survive gets executed.
A Hovercraft landed near the southern edge of the mountain. The hatches opened and Artemis walked out along with his Elite guards. They marched through both the battlefield and the Demigod's death takes place.
The last army decimation and the death of the powerful demigod thorough and left no stone unturned. Artemis' occupation was complete. All the Theocracy's most powerful warriors were dead, all their ability to defend itself was now gone, their cities were now easy prey with some already being besieged by bandits.
The bandits were remnants of those soldiers who survived the Machine Empire's offensive. They gathered themselves under a self-proclaimed warlord and have decided to fend for themselves instead.
"Death is nigh and not sweet, and thus we shall live to our heart's content!" Most of them would say. It was their excuse to pillage and rape. Medieval times mostly saw undisciplined armies who wound commit acts that would be considered atrocities in the modern-day. Artmeis had no room for savages in his Utopia, and so, issued a permanent command in which all bandits were to be executed.
The mere fact they became bandits was enough for their deaths. Artemis still had no sympathy over those who were innocent. He just did not want to hand himself more problems.
The sun began to set when he looked at the massive crater, seeing the corpse of Demigod Joan, it was an unpleasant scene. The body had begun to rot and thus produced an awful smell. Vultures and crows have begun to feast on their buffet. Arguably they had enough bodies to feed hundreds of thousands of them back in the massacre, but unfortunately most of them were all incinerated by the spell called {Fallen Down} that Joan had casted.
Artemis watched as a group of vultures swarmed over the burnt body in a huge crater by the prewar Railgun, the body of Joan Fernandez. Artemis knew alot about her and did not even know how much of a pain she might have been if they were to have engaged in combat. What he learns when observing the battle between her and his Combat Soldiers...
Demigods are dangerous and are a massive threat.
Artemis, decided not to understimated nor expecting something that could caused a red flag, he learned his lesson of being overconfident for his Androids.
Forgetting those thoughts now, he looks up on the night sky seeing something very beautiful.
The beauty of the two moons shined.
"Another full moon?" Artemis said with wonder.
"Indeed, it seems that this world always has full moons regardless of the day or the position of the planet or the moons," Johnathan walked towards Artemis' left side.
"This world will soon be our own, right? Commander?" Michael walked to the other side.
Artemis stared blankly into the distance as the wind swayed his hair.
"Yes, all of this, will be ours, and all of this will help us rebuild the earth, rebuild our true home. Even if we have to kill a billion more sorry excuses of humans. Magic, a dangerous and powerful energy that prevented any further scientific advancement in this world. There will be new enemies, new opportunities, and also, new beginnings. Our first journey has come to an end and tomorrow, another shall begin and we shall walk through it all once more,"
"There will be many paths, won't there be?" Johnathan asked.
"Yes, yes, of course, there will be many paths and we will be forced to make decisions whether to follow the left... or the right..."
"Each path is unknown and to the unknown, we shall venture forth," Michael said with glee.
"Yes, the journey will be confusing as any other journey through the unknown. Although we may fear the unknown, it is always our mission to find what is in the unknown and understand it, learn from it and most of the time, defend from it," Artemis continued.
The journey will also be rough," Johnathan added.
"Yes, all journeys are rough, some are just rougher than others," Artemis replied.
"Rough enough to kill those who can't bear it. This is why we machines are superior, we can face any problem and make a solution. In every mathematical problem, there will always be a solution for one to find the answer," Michael added the conversation.
"Yes," Artmeis smiled.
And now the two threats are removed, the last one will be next.
Which it was the storm from the west itself.
Hooo, what a tiring new scene. How was those chapters, readers?
