Chapter seven

It was 5am in the morning, I was chatting with Brandon my Cousin when I felt small tiny soft hands around my chest, I looked down to see my four year old brother has rolled from his side of the bed and was now lying on me. I spank his butt and told him to get off me but the sleepy dude didn't even budge, I rolled my eyes kept my phone Aside and tucked him back, I looked at his round face that has baby fats on it. He looks funny while sleeping. Well my brother Carl is like my life, my mother died when he was just a year old. Any time I recall memories of my mom I feel a scorching pain in my chest, she was murdered with poison and she died in my arms I couldn't even do any thing to save her. It was very traumatic. My mother was my every thing even when my dad didn't support my passion in music and sees me as a useless dude just because I refused to listen to Him and quit, she always support and encourage me, sometimes I wonder why God took her away from me. And Carl is the exact replica of my mom. What's pissing me off right now is just months after my mother died my dad remarried, like did he even ever loved her? I've made enough money to sustain me and my brother for a life time. But I still couldn't move out because that's where my mother and I built many memories, since my mother died I always took care of Carl I even moved his things to my room I don't trust any body in this Manor, not even my dad.

Around 6am Carl woke up and I bath him, "Ted am a big boy now I can bath myself ". Carl said in his small voice, "shut up and remove your pants" I was a little impatient today, and he knows when I ain't joking, so he did just that. I bath him and he was busy gigling playing with water, God why does Carl have to grow up without a mother, i placed the thoughts at the back of my head, and dressed him in his school uniform, brushed his hair neatly. "Here, wait quietly while I take a bath " I handed him his iPad "okie dokie" "learn to talk like a man Carl". "Am still a kid" he yelled and I closed the bathroom with a thud.

Teddy wore his uniform, a navy blue pants, a sky blue long-sleeved shirt, he left his shirt flying, brushed his hair and put on his jewelries, a diamond stud on his left ear, a wrist watch and two golden chains on his neck, and other bangles in his right wrist, "Carl give me your hands" Carl stretched his hands and Teddy put on a new black wrist watch on his wrist. "Woah!! ". Carl exclaimed with widened eyes. Teddy smiled while putting his links, "you like it? " Carl nodded his head "I love it" .teddy put on his uniform sleeveless navy blue jacket on his shirt, "Ted why didn't you Tuck in your shirt? While I have to Tuck in mine". "Because you're in kindergarten while am in high school ". Teddy answered while spraying perfume, he took another one meant for kids and applied it on Carl. "Come on let's go". Teddy picked up his uniform navy blue long-sleeved jacket that has the school badge on it. He flung it on his shoulders and led Carl out and he locked his room.

They went downstairs just in time to see

Marrisa, his father's wife serving breakfast to his father who was in turn smiling at her, 'smiling like lunatics'. Teddy thought. He didn't even look at them, held Carl's hands and walked towards the door when he heard marrisa's voice "won't you have breakfast Ted? ". Teddy chuckled dryly, "why, so you can also poison me and Carl? ". "Ted are you still blaming me? ". Of course I am and look I'll make you rot in jail". "Teddy don't talk to my wife like this ever again" his father said angrilly hitting the dinning table, "or what father, you call this murderer a wife? I just wanna let you know am dissapointed in you, marrying my moms bestfriend just months after she died". Marrisa burst into tears while ted's father was fuming In anger. "Pathetic losers". Teddy cursed and barged out, his eyes Red with unshed tears, marrisa was his mom's bestfriend, but immediately his mother died his father got married to her, that means his father has been cheating on his mom with her bestfriend.

He took Carl to an eatery and they had breakfast before he drove Carl to his kindergarten. Carl hugged Teddy before getting off the car, "bye Ted " he waved. "Take care" Ted answered and zoomed off.

He arrived earlier than usual with few students in the school, he could hear girls squealing and throwing compliments at him, some jumping and taking pics of him, he walked to his class only to find only one girl in there.

Jasmyn came to class early to but there was no student, she sighed heavily and dropped her bag, she sat down and place her legs on Teddy's seat, she grinned 'hah today the leader of the wolves will sit here without knowing I already placed my feet on it, I'll immediately remove it when I hear all the students screaming their names'she concluded, she put on her head phone listening to music and humming along

She didn't notice when the door opened and Teddy walked in, he was surprised when he saw how she sat, his lips curled into a smirk and he slowly walked towards her, jasmyn who was un aware opened her eyes only for it to come in contact with a set of familiar deep dark eyes she shrieked in fear and jerked from the seat only for her to lose balance and fall flat in her face right at his foot.
