MAYBE YOU ARE NOT IMPORTANT

Jared expected his wife to shrink away from him but her actions shocked him to the bones. She could talk, he noticed, but flinches anytime she came to close with a vampire. As he was walking in the hallway, Zolan halted and bowed. It was the second day

"You are fast" Jared said surprised by Zolan's appearance

"It wasn't hard at all. They don't know the meaning of confidential" Zolan said displeased and Jared chuckled

"What did you find out?"

"She's the daughter of the Human King but not the Queen. She doesn't know this actually. According to, though I do not believe, the King doesn't know her Mother. There is a great mystery surrounding her birth. She doesn't have an exciting life like some Princess do. She was locked up in the Castle and forced to always behave like a lady. She was punished anytime she disobeyed" He paused

"Is that all you could find?"

"No, my Prince" He said and continued "She is best in Archery and martial arts"

"She can fight?" Jared said shocked "You said she was raised to be ladylike"

"She was taught in secret by her tutor. When the King found out, he killed him. She doesn't know he was the one that killed her tutor too. That's all I could find, my Prince"

"Thanks Zolan"

"I heard the Duke of the Western Empire came around"

"Yes, I told Seth to tell him that he should tell Seth whatever he wanted to tell me" Jared said and Zolan laughed

"No wonder they said he was quite rough" He said and Seth came to meet them and bowed to Jared

"You are back, Zolan" He hugged him and turned to Jared "The Duke will report to the King"

"He should go on"

"What about the Princess?" Seth asked

"She should be sleeping now. She is good at martial arts, Seth" Zolan infored him

"And Archery" Jared added

"What?"

"That doesn't mean you should let your guard down around her" He warned "We need to start searching for allies. Where are others?" He asked

"Why?"

"Radley and his father may decide to use the Princess as bait and can decide to strike anytime. The time is getting near"

"At last, the time will soon come. I can't wait any longer" Seth rejoiced and others joined them

"What did we miss?" Xavier asked and Seth filled them in "Really? The time I have been waiting for is near?"

"Why did you say the time is near?" Greg asked

"Radley is interested in my wife" He said frowning "And he will tell his Father who will surely agree since the time to strike is near. They will plan to fight, overcome us, since our soldiers are small and take the Princess" He paused and looked at each one of them attentive face "We need allies" The men were quiet for a while

"The Western Empire is out of it" Xavier said and they agreed

"The Duke of the Eastern Empire is your old friend, My Prince. How about trying him out" Zolan suggested

"Yes, he doesn't even like the King"

"Okay, you shold make a list of the lands and places we would likely get support. I will decide on the ones we would meet" He said "Make that tomorrow, we are not in haste"

"Okay"

"Where do you want the battle to be?" Seth asked

"At the Secret Forest" He said and they noddod their head

"That's a good idea. But everyone fears the Forest, how will the soldiers cope?"

"That's true" Jared agreed "But I don't want the castle or the city to be destroyed cos of me"

"Then we can do it at the open field" Seth suggested

"No, I don't like that place" Greg said pouting like a baby "What about the deserted city of Ark?"

"That's good"

"Zolan and Seth, like I said, you both should mark out the places we can find allies. Tomorrow full plan starts and mobilize the castle's soldiers. Don't tell them what is going on. Xavier and Greg, follow me"

"Good morning, My Princess" Flynn and Kay greeted Silver

"Good Morning"

"How was your night?" Flynn and she smiled as she remembered the night

"It is great" She said "How do you guys feel here?"

"I wonder how you could talk to them. I am really scared of them. They give me chills"

"Me too" Kay said and she smiled

"I am not that scared" She said and they were shocked

"You must be hungry"

"No, we have-"A knock interrupted her "Come in" She said and a vamp maid came in. Her maids were already fidgeting. The maid bowed deeply

"Good Morning, my Princess" She greeted and Silver liked her immediately

"Good Morning"

"The Prince told me to introduce myself to you. I will be your vamp maid from now on" She said and Silver turned to her maids that couldn't do anything but stare in horror. She pitied them; they were scared to their bones

"Chill guys. She's just to work with you and will make your work lot more easier. You know Vamps are way faster than us" She said and gave the girl a sorry look

"I understand. The humans are scared of us. My name is Zara"

"Thank you for your understanding, Zara. I am Silver"

"So I have been told, My Princess" She said "The Prince said he won't be around for breakfast cos he has a lot to do but promises to be around for lunch"

"Okay, but I am not hungry" Silver said

"The Prince said you must eat" Zara said and urged Silver to eat until she gave in "You should take you bath now, my Princess" Zara said

When Zara was leading Silver to the dining hall, Silver questions and Zara answered all of them with all pleasure. Flynn and Kay refused to go with them and Silver knew they would soon go back to the Humans land. They couldn't survive in the vamps land. She was missing them already. When they got to the dining hall, Silver forced Zara to eat with her

"I wonder how you easily become comfortable with our kind" Zara said

"I am not that comfortable. I still have the fear but not so much. I can't continue fearing your kind forever. While I can, I will get rid of the fear" She said "I hate being uncomfortable"

"I really adore you, My Princess"

"Thank you"

"You can leave" They heard an authoritative voice and turned. They saw the guards going out and Zara stood up and bowed. The lady was beautiful, Silver admitted. But Silver was more beautiful "You too, Leave"

"I'm sorry my Princess, but I was asked not to leave Princess Sil-" And like a flash the lady was in front of Zara and slapped her. The slap echoed in the hall andSilver felt the sting of the slap. Silver felt the urge to slap the lady too but she bottled her anger. She gave Zara an apologetic look and stood up to the Princess who was still annoyed cos Zara didn't move

"I will deal with you later" The lady said and faced Silver "You should be Silver"

"Yes, I am. And who are you?"

"I see you lack manners of greeting but I will forgive you for that since we have the same husband" She said and that came as a blow to Silver. She was heartbroken. The Lady smiled at her reaction "I am Freya, Jared's betrothed" She said and Silver felt weak and could only look. So Freya was the important thuing he wanted to see last night. So much for thinking one and only. Silver mocked herself, was she thinking she was the only one? She wanted to be

"Oh, I see Jared has not told you yet. Maybe I am too forward" She said. Silver won't let anyone talk to her just anyhow and let the person go scotfree

"Or maybe you are not important" Silver retorted and Freya eyes flashed in anger

"Are you talking-?"

"Thanks for the introduction. I will take my leave. Excuse me" Silver said and went out with Zara

"Are you okay, My Princess?" Zara asked surprised with the way Silver talked back and concerned about her reaction to the news she just heard

"I am" She turned and checked Zara'a face for bruises from the slap

"Don't worry, it will heal soon" Zara assured her and Silver turned and began to walk again "You should not mind her. She is like that cos she learnt martial art"

"Really?"

"Yes. Females don't learn martial arts here. She hates me cos I managed to learn it too" Zara explained

"I see. Let's go on a stroll. I lost my appetite "

"No, my Princess" Zara objected "The Prince told me to feed you until you are okay"

Silver felt a great anger but she didn't show it rather she gave Zara a firm face

"I don't care about what the Prince said. I lost my appetite already and want to take a stroll" She said and Zara gave a defeated sigh

"Okay"

Zara knew the Princess wasn't listening to her as she showed her round. She liked the Princess immediately she saw her and wanted to be close with her. It was when the Prince caught her staring at the door that he whispered into her ears. She was among the few female guard before

'From now on, you will be her guard and vamp maid' she was embarrassed yet happy. Now she was sad. She knew it hurts when you are not your husband's only wife. She wanted to console the Princess but she liked the way the Princess talked to lady Freya

"Let's go to my room" The Princess finally talked and Zara stopped "Can you carry me and take me there with full vamp speed?"

"As you wish, so will I do your Highness" She said and Silver entered her room

"No one should disturb me. Please" She said

"What about the Prince"

"Not even him. Thank you Zara and I'm sorry for acting so cold to you after Freya came. I was annoyed" She said

"It's nothing." Zara said and Silver closed the door. Zara felt sorry for her and wished she could beat Freya

"Where is the Princess?" Jared asked Zara when he came back with his men. She waited at the front of the Princess room

"She is in her room and said she doesn't want to be disturbed by anyone. Not even you my prince" Zara reported after bowing and his look changed to a suspiscious one

"That's strange. The Princess doesn't look like an indoor person" Xavier said and they agreed and were silent for a while

"What happened?" Jared asked and she took in a deep breath before speaking

"Princess Freya came" She said and they all groaned in frustration. Jared hissed to hold his anger

"Tell me what happened" He demanded and she explained it word for word excluding the time Freya slapped her

"Princess Silver really said that?" Seth asked. They never thought the Princess had such audacity

"Yes" Zara answered and Jared was silent for a while

"Is that all that happened?" He asked her and she had no choice than to talk

"She slapped me too" Zara said and he inspected her face, the bruises were no more there it healed already

"Sorry, Zara" He said and she bowed

"Thank you, my Prince"

"Seth"

"My Prince"

"Freya is still in the casle. Bring her to the meeting hall" He ordered and Seth bowed before leaving "You should all go and rest. Zara, you too" He said "I know you have not slept since the Princess arrived" He added when she was beginning to protest "When I need any of you, I will call for you. Tell Seth to wait for me at the meeting hall" He gave out orders and before they could respond or bow, he had already disappeared
