10 Princess Qing Lou

The following day in the entrance of the He Palace, the emperor together with his bodyguard has personally waited to meet up for the arrival of the second princess of the Qing Empire. This shows that the young emperor has taken a great respect to them. Upon the arrival, an envoy from the Qing Empire has read the edict of his emperor about congratulating Emperor He Mo for driving away the barbarians and stabilizing the peace of the whole He Kingdom. Although it was an edict, it can also be considered as ordinary letter as both of them are emperors and they had their own jurisdictions. The envoy was obviously knowledgeable about it so he is using a polite and respectable tone to him. He then presented the second princess to the young emperor.

"The emperor is young and is standing alone at the top of his kingdom. Our emperor has recognized how lonely it is to have nothing to share your burdens hence; our majesty has betrothed our Empire's second Princess. This is Princess Qing Lou."

As soon as the envoy finishes his introduction, the princess went out of her carriage. This lady is also not lacking of beauty. In fact she is very good looking. Her skin is white and smooth as jade and her face is small. The eyelashes are long and her lips are full painted with red naturally. The long black hair she has is also silky. Her appearance really belongs to the royalty!

The only reason why the Qing Empire disposed her is because she is considered as talent-less and simple minded. She is born in a kingdom that values talents and skills more than looks. In front of them, she is a complete waste of space. They neglected her and often criticized for not having a talent or special skills. The princess is completely aware of their criticism, that is why she openly agreed when her father told her that she will be gifted to the neighboring empire.

"Your majesty, I am Qing Lou." the lady gave an honorific bow as she said with a bit of shyness and nervousness in her voice.

"Welcome to my humble empire Lady Qing Lou. Princess, I hope you enjoy staying in my place and treat this empire like your home." the emperor said with full of confidence. He did not also expect the fine appearance of the lady in front of him. Although she lacks confidence in her bearing but she looks undoubtedly attractive.

"Thank you, your majesty." the princess said and secretly stole a glance to the emperor. He was indeed young and handsome. The princess thought that it is her blessing in life to meet the emperor.

"Princess Qing Lou, I have arranged a pavilion for you and a servant will guide you to this place. I still have something to do so I will leave you under the care of the palace servants. You can tell them anything you need." the emperor told her before he left.

"Thank you, your majesty." she thanked him again as the emperor went away. The lady has not expected a warm welcome from the emperor. Nobody had treated her warmly and even her own mother had criticized her sometimes. Her feelings for the emperor has improved greatly.

"This way princess." a servant said and they walk silently following her. After everyone arrived at the pavilion, they could not help but admire the decoration of the place. The place is big and full of flowers. It is very suitable place for a princess to stay.

"The emperor has treat you well my princess." one of her personal maid commented while looking at the whole place.

"Please thank the emperor for me." the princess said to the palace servant that was guiding her.

"Yes, and princess the food will be delivered here soon. You may take your rest for a while." the palace servant said before she excused herself.

Princess Qing Lou's personal maid has been busy arranging her things to the new place and nobody noticed a single personal maid was missing. This maid was grabbed by the Qing's spy that was planted inside the palace years ago. The two had been exchanging information during their journey.

In a remote corner, they were discussing the layout of the palace. The spy told the personal maid the location of the emperor's room and they went on the place directly. After arriving to the location, the personal maid immediately laid a formation. Three white pearls are placed at the roof of the room while a small crystal is placed on the corner of the floor. She was making the endless nightmare formation! Her movements are fast and with just several breaths it was already done. After laying out the necessary objects they sneaked back to their own current masters. The Qing spy immediately sends a message to the Qing Empire and told them that the formation is done.

The endless nightmare formation will trigger a disturbing dream associated with negative feelings, such as anxiety or fear that will awaken the emperor once he falls asleep. The lack of sleep is a normal occurrence therefore no one will suspects it. And even if someone will be suspicious, it won't leave any trace so it will be hard to identify who the person is behind it.

Meanwhile, Emperor He Mo is reading all imperial reports while his bodyguard had placed a food in his table. He continues reading the reports for a while and did not even glance at the food.

"Not hungry?" Ye Shin casually asked the emperor when she noticed that he did not stop reading the papers that are laid in the table. The amount of concentration he placed on reading is highly admirable. Ye Shin was even hesitant to disturbed him but it was past lunch time so she decided to remind him.

"Feed me." she heard the emperor commanded. She looked at him, but his face is still buried in reading.

He was indeed busy! He looks pitiful to her. Ye Shin walks around the emperor's side and grabbed some small portion of the food that she brought in. She put it near the emperor's mouth but the emperor did not even bother opening his lips. She even waited for a few breaths, but the emperor's lips were still sealed tight. Whether the action was to tease her or he just plainly did not really notice the food, only him knew.

"Open." Ye Shin gently whispered as she place the food more closely to his lips. Upon hearing her gentle voice beside him, the emperor opened his mouth and slowly chews the food. Ye Shin calmly waited for the emperor to swallow the food she had just placed in his mouth. After swallowing his food, she grabbed another portion and places it near his mouth. The emperor did not take the food she offered.

"Don't make me say 'open' once again." Ye Shin stated. Although her voice is soft but it was delivered with sternness, as if she is reprimanding the emperor while her hands stayed near his mouth. The emperor's tight lips curved upwardly before he let another food enter his mouth and chew it again slowly. He did not say anything and continued reading the files in his hand. In this way, he keeps eating from the food that the lady placed in his mouth.

"Water." the emperor asks after a while of chewing made him thirsty and Ye Shin obliged her hand to place a cup of water in his lips also.

He felt ecstatic while eating the lunch. This ecstasy is quite different from what he had felt when he first ascended the throne. It felt beyond those feelings. It was something that feels more than the feeling of conquering a kingdom. Warm, oddly pleasant and satisfying. After the food was emptied, Ye Shin cleaned the table silently and went outside. There was a palace servant waiting outside to retrieve the used plates. As she handed the utensils, the servant bows her head politely to her.

"Tell the kitchen to bring more food, I'm still hungry." the emperor suddenly said when the palace servant is about to leave.

"You heard him?" Ye Shin asked the palace servant quietly.

"Yes my lady. I will come back and bring food for the majesty again." the servant answered before she hurriedly left. Ye Shin closed the door and went back inside. There is no trace of emotions in her face as she stared at the emperor. The emperor stopped his reading and locked her gaze boldly.

"For someone with a physique like yours, your appetite is actually bigger your majesty." Ye Shin commented as soon as their gaze meets. The emperor stared at her face for moment before he finally speaks.

"Someone is appetizing." the young emperor answered her directly. He was referring to her but the lady thinks that the emperor is talking about the princess of the Qing Empire.

"Indeed. Even I will agree on that judgement your majesty. Qing Lou is such a beauty." she stated while thinking of the princess' appearance. The emperor secretly sighed.

"When the servant brings food again, you eat them. I suddenly realized that my stomach is already full." the emperor said before reading back the files in his table. Ye Shin did not say anymore. She was actually looking forward of the dish that the servant will bring again.
