The Time I Became An Ideal Ruler

I am now walking on the street of the center part of the kingdom. The Flaest Kingdom had at least a population of five million and it is divided into five parts for easier management.

The five parts are labeled as north, south, east, west, and center. Originally, the kingdom labeled them as different from what I have interpreted but labeling the parts of the Flaest Kingdom by location and not some fancy names will be easier to remember, right?

After all, I will later change the names of the five parts of the Flaest Kingdom according to its location. Even if I do that, it won't change the people's lives in the kingdom. Only the nobles will complain about my plan in changing the name.

Although I admit that not all nobles are bad and a few of them even care for the well-being of the people, that is only the minority. The Flaest Kingdom is infamous for treating its people as pawns.

As long as there is profit for them, the people with authority don't mind discarding them to obtain resources from the Mountain Of Monsters while using the families of those people as hostages.

The people that were given the task of obtaining resources for those nobles will have no choice but to do so and it will lower their chances of rebelling unless they find out that their families are mistreated by the nobles.

In reality, those nobles have already killed the male hostages while playing with the women hostages and some women were even sold to brothels. The children

hostages are brainwashed by the nobles and those children who possessed the strong will, they are enslaved and sold to slave traders.

Although I admit I am evil, I still have a bottom line. As long as it is possible, I will choose the path where my goal will be realized but at the same time, the victims will be as low as possible.

In other words, it is impossible for me not to kill innocent living beings for my goal but if possible, I want to lower the number of my victims.

Even in the Mountain Of Monsters, I never killed indiscriminately and I only killed living beings who are evil while enslaving and reforming I find useful. The villagers of the villages in the Mountain of Monsters which I have usurped didn't even mind that I usurped their village as long as their everyday lives won't be affected that much.

Therefore, it is possible to usurp a kingdom by just killing all corrupt nobles while improving the lives of the people. I will make myself known as their "hero" and antagonize the corrupt nobles.

The people wouldn't mind if I kill all the corrupt and useless nobles that made their lives miserable as long as their lives improved.

Those corrupt nobles must be blinded by greed because they forgot that what makes a kingdom is both the ruler and its people. Without the people, in the end, a ruler, king, or whatever they call themselves will be the same as the average people.

I have encountered many rebellions and my previous wielder even helped those people rebel against corrupt rulers when he was in the Fairy Domain so I know the effect of most actions caused by a corrupt ruler.

Hence, I will never make such mistakes. That is why I have been known as the "Chaotic King" by the powerhouses in the Mountain Of Monsters while I am revered by the majority of the villagers as the greatest king in all history.

Even if my intentions aren't pure and my actions caused the minority of the living beings to be in the Mountain Of Monsters to suffer, at least, I was able to improve the conditions of the life of the majority.

I am an example of an ideal ruler. I am not perfect so I can't save everyone. I don't talk nonsense and give false hope to the people but instead, with the effect of my actions, I am at least able to save the majority.

In the end, both I and the majority of the people are having a win-win situation and our interests are aligned with each other while the minority are either suffering from my actions or aren't affected by my actions in any way.
