"My sword needs more abilities to expand my arsenal," Kiba muttered, pacing back and forth in his room.
'Even the swords Kiba made in the past only make it easier to use elemental magic. I'm disappointed by his lack of imagination,' he thought, frustration evident in his eyes.
Despite the recent upgrade to his Parallel Thought Sword, Kiba felt an urgent need for more power.
"Knowing the Gremory family, I might get dragged into a fight. I need to steal Sacred Gear to get stronger," he mused, a sly smile creeping onto his face.
The creation of the Sacred Gear Stealer, a sword capable of stealing Sacred Gear without killing its host, began to take shape in his mind.
'I need all the strength I can get. In the future, I'm going to take the Annihilation Maker from its original host. There's no way I'm letting that weapon stay in the hands of someone who lacks imagination and could lead to world destruction,' he resolved.
"So much work to do," he sighed.
Kiba knew he needed to improve his demonic power control. 'My technique is just raw power. I pour my demonic energy without any finesse. My reserves are limited, but my recovery is quick, thanks to the sword's ability. I only need a few minutes to replenish fully,' he noted.
He rubbed his head in frustration and sat on his bed.
"Forget it, let's train my demonic power control," he decided, taking a seat on the ground and closing his eyes to focus on the demonic energy within his body.
He saw a flaming scarlet source and tried to move it toward his right hand.
The energy flow was messy and inefficient, wasting more demonic energy than necessary.
"Why didn't Grayfia teach me a proper way to manage demonic energy?" Kiba wondered aloud.
'Even the methods the original user employed are flawed. Did they just make up these methods? No wonder so many devils are weak,' he thought.
"I have to find my own method," he concluded.
'I'm quite surprised... Wait, maybe the methods are specific to the Gremory family, and the one I use is meant for servants. I never thought of it that way. Grayfia did say she wanted to teach me properly, meaning she has her method or another to share,' Kiba pondered, covering his face and sighing.
"Well, it's only been two days of training with Grayfia. She hasn't started the real training yet," he reassured himself.
'Maybe I can base my method on the fictional stories I've read. I think the best approach is to create a Demonic Power Circuit, similar to a Magic Circuit. But I'll need to adapt it to suit me,' he planned.
'Magic Circuits are connected to the Astral Plane. In my case, I should connect it to my imagination. That way, it won't clash with the source. I think this could work, but it will be a long process to cover my entire body,' Kiba thought.
"But with my Parallel Thoughts, I should be able to shorten the time needed to complete the method," he resolved.
Kiba began constructing the Demonic Circuit from the source, branching it out through his body. His stomach glowed red as the circuit expanded.
Meanwhile, at the dinner table, everyone was gathered, enjoying their meal together.
"Where is your knight, Rias-chan?" Sirzechs asked.
Rias looked to Akeno and Koneko for answers. "Do you know where he is?"
Akeno shrugged. "He's training in his room and doesn't want to be disturbed," Koneko replied.
"Oh, I was hoping we could eat together. The food he cooks is always amazing. It's a pity I can't compliment him," Sirzechs commented.
"Agreed," Zeoticus nodded in concurrence.
"Has he overtrained again?" Venelana asked, concerned.
"No, not this time," Akeno assured her.
"That's a relief. I was worried the same thing would happen again," Venelana said, visibly relaxed.
"I heard you're training him in demonic power. What's your opinion of his abilities?" Zeoticus asked Grayfia.
"He has great potential, but his limited reserves hold him back. However, his imagination is better than most devils'," Grayfia replied.
"Hmm," Zeoticus nodded thoughtfully.
Rias gathered her courage and asked, "Okaa-san, can you teach me the Power of Destruction again?"
This request shocked everyone, as Rias had quit halfway through her previous training.
"I promise I won't quit again this time," Rias vowed.
"Okay, but you must follow my instructions," Venelana agreed.
"I understand," Rias replied confidently.
Akeno and Koneko smiled, knowing Rias was following Kiba's advice.
Zeoticus and Sirzechs also smiled, proud that Rias was fulfilling her potential this time, though a small doubt lingered in their minds, including Venelana's.
Two days had passed,
But there was no sign of Grayfia. She had other matters to attend to, leaving Kiba without her guidance. He should have been glad that the queen of a Lucifer wasn't looking for him, but something felt off.
Rias, Akeno, and Koneko noticed Kiba's absence, both at school and otherwise, which made them increasingly worried.
"Have you seen Kiba-kun?" Akeno asked.
Rias and Koneko shook their heads.
"Do you know where he might have gone?" Rias asked.
"Maybe he's training in a forest somewhere," Koneko suggested.
"Let's go find him," Rias decided.
The three of them began searching for Kiba, flying around Kuoh Town in search of their missing friend.
They looked in every corner and even asked Sona and her peerage for help.
"Have you found him?" Rias asked through communication magic.
"We have not," Sona replied, then asked, "Do you have any idea where he might be?"
"We have no idea," Rias admitted.
"Did he give you any hint or clue?" Sona pressed.
"The last thing he said was that he was training and not to bother him," Rias answered.
"If we don't find him today, we might have to..." Sona started.
"No, give us a few more days. He wouldn't just disappear," Rias interrupted, defending Kiba.
After several hours of fruitless searching, they headed back home. As a last resort, they decided to check Kiba's room.
When they opened the door, they found Kiba's body glowing red, with circuit-like patterns running across his skin. He was deeply focused and didn't seem to notice their presence.
Rias, Akeno, and Koneko exchanged puzzled glances.
Rias walked toward Kiba and reached out to touch him, but Kiba warned, "Don't touch me!"
"What is he doing?" Koneko asked, eyes wide.
"I think he's building a pathway for his demonic power," Akeno guessed, her sensing abilities not fully comprehending what Kiba was constructing. "We should leave him alone. I'm worried we might disturb his concentration."
"For how long?" Rias asked, concerned.
"As long as he needs," Akeno replied firmly.
