Sword God Reincarnation: Takemikazuchi Tensei

Gods sought entertainment, thus, they introduced a game of "Reincarnators." Only one can become a veritable "God." Haruto Sakamoto, known by his friends and family as an unmotivated bastard. He spent his time as a shut-in playing numerous RPGs or engaging in pornography. No real goals in life. The first time he gets motivated to save a beautiful girl, he dies by stabbing. Then, he is reincarnated into a new world, a world of Swords, Guns and Magic maybe this is indeed his chance to make up for his previous life. He had the privilege of keeping his memories, could you imagine a perverted man in his late forties within the body of a child. That's exactly who Haruto became. He was reborn as Archibald Pendragon. In every part of the world the name Pendragon is a well known one, after all it hails from the king of Camelot and the one who slew the dragons that terrorized them. But, Archibald wasn't born to that branch of the family, instead to the lower of the three houses under the name Pendragon. Yet, he was born with the genes of the Sword God, something unknown to him. This grants him the advantage of intense skill with a sword and high physical prowess, how does he survive in this new world? As the story goes on, Archibald discovers he's not the only one who reincarnated into this new world. There are “others” some stronger and others on a dimensionally higher level. But he just wants to live a peaceful and honorable life, will that be possible when Gods seek entertainment? Find out... Chance.

"Before I show you a skill, you need to know something about Sword Skills and how they function.." said Gadi.

He explained to Archibald that Sword Skills generally have six elemental damage properties: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Darkness, and Light.

There were others such as Gravity, Time, Space and so on which supplement the usual physical damage. They were all phenomena of the original six elementals.

("Okay, that's pretty sick! In Elden Annulus I could use all the elements and even project them through Guns Magic, so I'm definitely gonna wanna learn that later. In my previous life chicks dig a guy with money, but I'm think it's different here. Maybe they'll like a guy with a sword... hehehe... question is what sword am I talking about...")

Archibald wore a perverted face while he pressed the fingertips of both hands against each other.

"Focus.." Gadi ordered, he didn't need a student who was easily distracted. He needed one that could focus. Although it didn't really matter to him since he was getting paid either way.

Assuming a salute position he screamed "Aye Sir!"

Gadi sighed.

("What's he getting moody about? It's not like I haven't learnt these things before. After all, I am a certified badass..")

Gadi performed [Horizontal Curve] using a wooden sword. A flat two-part skill that involves a horizontal swing from left to right, followed by a second horizontal swing from right to left. It was done so quickly, that Archibald didn't notice when the large tree before them was severed into three equal parts.

"How's that?" he wanted to hear Archibald's thoughts concerning the attack.

Archibald was amazed. Why? Yes, Archibald performed a bigger feat than that via [Flash Strike] but it was more blunt force destruction than precision in cutting.

He was gripped by how Gadi could use a "wooden" sword to cleanly cut something of equal nature. Since both the tree and sword were wooden.

"Sir, that was pre--"

Gadi didn't let him finish, "Cool? Yeah I know, but maybe later you may compliment how bodaciously awesome I am... but for now we should get to the next subtopic.." he never missed the chance to praise himself.

"Huh?" the young boy uttered. "Actually Sir, I was gonna say that tree is where my Grandfather was buried... It's really precious to us." Archibald awkwardly smiled as he scratched his head.

Shock. Gadi fell to his knees, only now realizing he'd made a mistake. His mouth was wide open as he felt like his soul was about leaving him, "I'm so dead.."

("Not feeling so bodacious now, huh Gadi?")

He abruptly stood up and rushed to the tree, stacking the sliced pieces atop the tree stump. This was proof of his physical strength as he could even jump and place the heavy apex of the tree with thick branches atop the stacked pieces.

"How's it looking?" he asked hurriedly.

"Woah, totally convincing Sir... You're amazing!" the young lad replied.

("Totally not. Figures he'd screw it all up on day one..")

Gadi combed his hair backwards with his left hand and smiled smugly, "Please, don't be blinded by my grace, I know my intellect is frightening but bear to exist around me.." he praised himself again.

("Definitely gonna start calling him Gadi Bieber... Dude acts like he's in Hollywood.")

Amara rung the bell at the upper floor of their home. It was designed so if Michael was ever training with his sword he'd know when dinner was ready. Now, it was used for Archibald. It made her proud.

"Sir will you be joining us for dinner?" Archibald asked him.

"I don't think I need to, it isn't necessary as I cannot repay your hospitality." Gadi spoke with so much formality that it felt unreal to hear him speak this way. His mouth said one thing and his mind another, 'Wait, aren't free meals supposed to be a feature of this job? I haven't eaten in days dammit but I have no choice I have to sound professional..'

"Are you sure Sir?" he asked again, to confirm that is.

Gadi smiled, "Of course I am.." but thought-wise, 'Please kid, just ask me again! Ask me one more time!' he mentally begged the gods.

"Okay.." Archibald turned to walk away.

Immediately Gadi appeared in front of him in a blink-of-the-eye. Clearing his throat, "Ahem." he proceeded to mention, "Well if you insist... I must oblige you all."

Archibald smiled menacingly.

("Trying to act cool are we? I see what you did there but I was steps ahead of you genius. I outsmarted your outsmarting..")

He knew from the start what Gadi tried to do and just wanted to mess around with his teacher a bit before they went in for dinner. There was no way Amara would let him and his daughter stay in their home without eating or living like they belonged.

She was far too kindhearted to allow such.

...

Night was upon them. Seated around the table with their respective meals were Michael, Amara, Archibald, Gadi and Milim.

"Let's eat to our heart's content!" Michael shouted at the top of his voice raising a mug of beer.

"Yeah." Gadi struck his mug with that of Michaelʼs as the two enjoyed their beer.

What variety of food wasn't made available? They ate like kings even at night. Whole chicken, delicious pot roasts, perfect tasting goulash and so much more.

Gadi had never seen so much food in his life. He stuffed his mouth and plate with food.

Milim was a bit perturbed by the way he ate, "Papa, that's enough.."

He whipped his hair back and forth, "Oh please... Such godly food is only deserving of a godly palette like mine... Mother of thy young one please feed me more." this was Gadi's way of asking for some more food.

("Okay, this guy's definitely gonna finish all our food. He's like a garbage disposal truck, how much food can he eat?!")

"Yes, please, have some more.." Amara offered him more roasted pieces of meat and even fried ones so he could eat. "We're happy to have you here." she set more on his plate.

("Happy? Wait till she finds out what happened to Grandfather's burial ground.. Might as well call this Gadi's last supper.")

Archibald exhaled a sigh, and indulged his food. Then, he shifted his gaze to Milim who was also eating, but Milim didn't seem to want to look at him, she was shy.

But when their eyes accidentally met she immediately shifted her gaze somewhere else, partly embarrassed.

("Hehez, I guess I have primordial rizz... She's definitely into me.")

For a moment, while Archibald ate, he felt isolated from his surroundings. He had entered a stage of deep thinking. Reflecting upon his past and with the major thought that he could possibly enjoy this new life.

("Yes, I died, reincarnated and am now a kid again. In a loving family. If I waste this opportunity, this chance then maybe I'm beyond help. Yeah, in my previous life I wasted it hiding in my room, out of fear of what people would think of me. My days wasted, being unmotivated and constantly being reminded by my parents and siblings how much of a failure I was. But not now, I can make it in this world. I can enjoy this life. But only if I make the right choices... Sakura, I don't know what may have happened had we met, but my love for you was real. I hope yours was too.")

Everyone laughed and enjoyed themselves. Meanwhile, Archibald was in deep contemplation. He couldn't waste his second chance at life.
