8 Survive (Part-1)

One month Later

In the Forest of Death...

A youth with Torn Clothes, with Blood and scratch marks all over him, sat on a rock, His Bloodied black Longsword was resting at the side leaning at the Rock. Looking at his appearance, how is he not falling is a question in itself.

The youth gazes up with his heavy eyes at the rising sun as it barely stood above the horizon, barely illuminating anything enough to give off actual color.

Everything that he could see was simply a silhouette, the very basic outline of an object's shape whether human, tree, rock, etc. His silhouette just looked like a big blob of nothing.

Grrrrrr

*Ruff*Ruff

The Youth Gulped by the killing Intent aimed at him.

He picked the sword and using that as the crutch to support his body that was on the verge of falling. He watched the Incoming assault of the army.

He stumbled because he was so tired. He gritted his bloody teeth and raised his sword sideways, his sword blade glows white, as he does a Backhand swing.

A white halo carrying tremendous force extends at high speed to impale all the dogs coming at him.

Hundreds of Hounds were cut in that attack.

*Cough*Cough

The Youth throws blood as he fell on his knees, using the Black sword as support to not get laid down on the field.

"Grrrrrr"

*Ruff*Ruff

Despair... Misery, Pain, those were the emotions that filled his eyes at the moment as he gritted his teeth and barely manage to get up.

Grrrrr

The dogs growled and charged at him.

He swings his sword once more.

The Dogs disappeared with the Poof..!! of smoke

He coughed blood Yet again as he moved deeper into the forest using his sword as the crutch.

He was limping, because one of his legs was bitten by the Hound and it's still bleeding

Yet, he couldn't stay here trying to cover his blood, He knows that the Hounds will come to him smelling this Blood.

"Survive", Muttered the Youth

That Youth was Hatake Yasaki

Minato ran at pace with Kakashi through the trees back to Konoha. They had been ordered home with or without the completion of their mission, luckily they had just finished it.

What made Minato more annoyed was that the war was already underway and it was dragging kids like Kakashi into it… It was unfair and also barbaric in his books but orders are supreme.

He walked with Kakashi through the gates of Konoha and instantly… Things became intense. People were looking at them… No not him, Kakashi, and Kakashi knew it too as he looked ahead and ignored everyone, putting his hands in his pockets.

"Something happened," Minato said to Kakashi

Kakashi nodded in acknowledgment. Something definitely happened

"I want you to wait in the waiting room in the tower while I attend my meeting, understood?" Minato asked Kakashi was they came up to the building and entered with more glares at Kakashi.

"Yes Sensei", Kakashi said as they went their separate ways on the third floor and Kakashi sat down on the couch in the waiting room, looking at the sun setting over home once again…

It had been 2 months since he last saw the sun, and wondered if his father and Brother was home yet.

Some of his fellow jonin looked at Minato as he entered the room and sat down before the Sandaime Hokage who had stress lines already showing on his face and smoking his pipe almost non stop.

"Now that you are all here… War has been declared officially and agreed upon among the Five Great Nations and is already in full swing with Kumogakure and Iwagakure. Missions will be postponed or passed onto genins and only missions of the utmost importance will be allowed… As for the rumors surrounding Hatake Sakumo…" He began as Minato gasped silently and Sandaime fixed his gaze on Minato.

"It is true he failed to carry through his mission of taking out the mercenaries of Iwa however he is not to be blamed for starting this war, it was inevitable from the beginning... He just took the full heat of something that was bound to happen in the first place"

He sighed and puffed his smoke yet again, "Anyone seen antagonizing the Hatake family or anything else against Konoha laws will be executed, needed ninja or not. Dismissed."

"Let's get you home," Minato said to Kakashi who nodded and followed after his sensei through the darkened streets, keeping close to his student who, again, ignored the glares and such.

Minato's fist shook in anger as both of them took in the state of the once grand-looking Hatake Home that had been vandalized, scorch marks along the outside, no plants and no grass around it anymore, and wire mesh netting around the windows to protect which looked to have been hit a few times already.

A glint in the fading sunlight caught their attention as they looked at the only solid wall of the house.

"Kunai?" Kakashi questioned as they walked through the broken gate towards the wall of kunai and looked at the piece of fabric attached to one with someone's name on it.

"He died a week ago… These must be the names of people who have died so far in the war," Minato said as he looked at some others, the same as the first one with different names.

Kakashi's mouth was opened and closed, "What happened?", asked Kakashi

"Your father went on a mission a while ago by the looks of it and it was apparently very important but he um… He failed it to save his comrades' lives." Minato finished unable to meet his student's shocked and watering eyes… He'd never seen Kakashi cry and never thought he would.

"Is he the reason the war started?" Kakashi whispered out shakily in exasperation as a tear did fall over his eyes

"No, The war was inevitable from the start, he just took the full heat of it"

The Broken Door was opened, and a Bruised and limping Yasaki came out of the house, to water the only plant that was blooming in all of this Chaos.

"Nii san", Muttered Kakashi, He never saw Yasaki Beaten up so much

Yasaki watered the Plant with a sigh. As he knew what's going to happen since he took a step outside.

And sure enough, as expected, A Kunai appeared aiming for his head. Yasaki merely moved his head to the side, and the kunai hit the doorframe next to Yasaki's head perfectly and stuck.

"..."

Yasaki watched the Kunai on the door and sighed, He opened the Broken door that was on the verge of Cracking and went inside.

Kakashi clenched his fists, as he removed the Kunai from the door and throws it aside.

Kakashi opened the door and stopped dead in his tracks as he looked into the darkened house that is not on the verge of living anymore.

"I will kill you where you stand if you don't prove to me right now you're Kakashi." A familiar yet cold and defended voice spoke to Kakashi and Minato.

"Nii san?"

Yasaki raised his hand and six mini white swords appeared hovering around his Wrists.

"Final Warning, Who are you?", Killing Intent leaked from him in great amount.

"Yasaki chan, What are you doing", Minato called out

Kakashi took a step forward, "Nii san", He called out as a faint white chakra clocked formed around him, It was very feeble and it soon disappeared but it was still there.

Kakashi stood there in disbelief as the eyes shifted and he found himself in a hug

"You are hurt so badly, what happened", Kakashi said

Yasaki break off the hug and giggled, "Silly Otouto, Who is strong enough to beat me"

"But---

"Are you hungry?"

"..."

"Well?"

"Yes"

Yasaki smiled and caressed Kakashi's cheeks, "It's good that you are safe"

"I will Protect Kakashi," Minato said

Yasaki smiled, and Bowed a little, "Thank you Minato san"

Kakashi went upstairs to meet Sakumo, while, Minato not wanting to disturb the Father and son time, Sat there in the broken Hall, that does not have a place to even sit anymore.

Minato went to the Kitchen that was destroyed as well

Yasaki was sitting in the corner, putting the Ice pack on his bruised and scratch full body that was clearly bandaged by an Amateur.

"What happened?", Asked Minato shocked at the Condition in which Yasaki was in.

Yasaki was shocked, he didn't want Minato to see it, but since he did, there is no reason to hide it

"I Survived"

"What?"

He chuckled at the question, and continue to put the ice pack on his bruised and scratch body with the Bandages.

"We need that to be treated immediately, Come on I will take you to the hospital", Minato said very Concerned

Yasaki laughed, "Don't be so Naive Minato san"

"..."

"There is no Doctor in Konoha that will treat Hatake's anymore"

"I am sure that Tsunade san will--

"She lost her Little Brother 2 weeks ago"

"..."

Yasaki smiled, "She came here, Searching for Tou san..."

"Is she the reason you are so badly hurt?"

Yasaki nodded, "Tou San is seriously ill, I had to take the responsibility"

"But with your capabilities, I am sure that You could at leas--

"Minato san"

"..."

"She was crying really hard that night"

"..."

"I know the feeling of losing someone precious; So, If I didn't Let her Beat me, She would have gone mad by the frustration of losing her Precious Little Brother"

"You mentioned, that Sakumo san was Very Sick", Muttered Minato

"I asked Rin's mother, She Diagnosed tou san on the condition that I break my friendship with Rin"

"But that

"Rin is being Harressed because of me, She is getting Bullied in Academy because she spoke for me"

"..."

"The Day I asked Rin's mother help, She told me that Rin was crying in her room because some People threw eggs on her"

Minato sighed, "I understand, But your body will still need proper Medical Attention"

Yasakmi smiled, "It's alright, Tou san helped me before this, It's just, he is too sick these days"

Minato nodded, "If Sakumo san will help then most of your wounds will heal and they should fade to leave no scar… But for your living conditions and what's been happening, I can't ignore this" Minato said seriously

Yasaki chuckled even more, "If this troubling to you, then I guess it's good that you didn't see the worst of it, It was horrifying, to say the least"

"..."

"We survive Minato san... We Survive"

"..."

Kakashi who was standing at the entrance of the Kitchen clenched his Fists.

"How was your mission otouto?" Yasaki asked as he stroked Kakashi's hair and rested his cheek against Kakashi's temple.

"A lot easier than what you've been through", Kakashi said as he nuzzled into Yasaki

Yasaki laughed, "That's good then, I am grateful that nothing happened to you"

"Nii san, Why don't you take the Graduation test"

Yasaki smiled, "Alright, If that's what you want"

"Really?"

Yasaki nodded with a smile, "Hm"

"And for you to graduate you need to go to the academy," Minato muttered and Yasaki laughed.

"That's true isn't it." He said gently as he rested his cheek against Kakashi's head. "I'll start going again tomorrow"

Yasaki walked with his head held high as people shouted curses at him and called him names, not to mention spitting in his direction but he dodged it every time which irked them even more.

"Oh look who's decided to show her face, it's the son of the disgraced bastard." A kid called out laughing as other kids laughed along

Yasaki didn't even bother with these guys.

"Whoa, Long time no see," Obito said, generally as he approached with Rin.

Rin couldn't even look at his eyes

Yasaki smiled, and Carressed her cheeks, "You know the Promise that I made with your Mother?"

"Huh?... What Promise", Obito asked, and Rin nodded acknowledging Yasaki's statement.

"Then you should stay away from me", Yasaki said smiling

"But--

"Rin, We are friends since we were a year old. Do you think I could not tell?"

"Tell what? Hey you jerks, At least tell me something", Obito continues to rant

"The day you cried because of me, was the day my soul wept and no matter what I did, there was no way to comfort it, Rin"

Rin eyes watered

"You cried?", Obito looked at Rin confused

Yasaki looked at Obito and smiled, "You should stay away from me as well"

"Huh? Why should I?"

"Because my Best Friend is a Cry Baby"

"I am not a cry Baby", Rin was already crying

Yasaki smiled as he hugged her for the final time

"You were worried about him for nothing Kakashi." Minato laughed, sitting with Kakashi in a tree outside of the academy as they watched Yasaki slam a boy up against the wall and effectively made the corridor deserted for a few minutes.

Kakashi cried

"What happened?", Minato asked feeling shocked

"He jumped leaps and bounds again in his maturity"

"Wasn't Yasaki always Mature"

Kakashi shook his head and wiped his tears

"There was always a hint of Happiness in those eyes, Pride, and Love for me... But from yesterday, All I see is the Dispair... Nii san is only 8 this year"

"..."

Minato looked at Yasaki and sighed silently, "He will survive", Said Minato

Kakashi nodded and they disappeared.
