Sword Arts Online: Darkness

What if the creator of Sword Arts Online had controlled Kirito and his friends, turning them into evil, and brought the game into the real world, turning it into a giant game world? Well, this is the situation where our ordinary protagonist Roxas Nietes, or Rohasu Nitama as his player name, had found himself. Being a foreign high school student living in Japan with his friends in a shared house owned by his school would make his life there difficult, but his intelligence on basically anything instead made him prepared and an actionist. He was an ambivert who loved music, art, writing, picture taking, philosophizing, and best of all, making scenarios of all kinds in his mind. So, the day before SAO was brought into the real world, Roxas had unknowingly received a mysterious-looking email from a player named Anko Tachibana, who was a deceased player. That email is a request for help because he, who knew Kirito and his friends before, wants someone to help them, who are now known as the Elite Players, snap from their state of being brainwashed by the game. Roxas accepted it after some thinking, but there’s one condition: he will be Anko’s vessel because Anko is now a spirit after his death in the game. To be free from Anko’s ghostly possession, he needed to complete the task in any way he could. Now that he was Anko’s vessel, what would Roxas do to do this big and seemingly impossible mission? Well, he will use his intelligence, ambivert personality, and scenario-making mindset to do it, plus action. That combination sounds ridiculous and unorthodox, but for him, it will be a good one. So, join him, Anko, and their friends in a now-altered reality fighting monsters and bosses across Aincrad-ridded Japan and getting into the Tower while trying to get Kirito and his friends out of their brainwashed state. But the dark side of Sword Art Online was slowly revealed as Roxas and his friends went deeper and deeper for their mission through their spirit guardians. One of them was the origins of Eugeo and Alice (This was what if Eugeo and Alice were once humans who were killed and were forced to be bots in the games?) Chapter 70 - Roxas' Family

Third person POV

After that, Daniel resumed their trip to Santa Barbara in the Province of Iloilo while promising Roxas and Anko that he would keep this discovery a secret. Roxas and Anko were happy and appreciative of Daniel's trust in them. Later on, at 11:12 p.m., the sedan arrived at a street from Roxas' family house because Daniel didn't want to spoil Roxas' sudden and surprise arrival from Japan. "Okay, we're here, Roxas," Daniel said to Roxas briefly and positively.

Roxas was happy and thankful for him, before paying up the fare.

The fare was 140 Php.

After unloading Roxas' belongings, Daniel said good night to him and Anko and hopped in his sedan, before leaving the scene. With that, Roxas grabbed his belongings and went to his house as Anko walked with him. A bit later, both of them arrived at that house, which was a traditional Filipino house with concrete walls and nipa roofing. The house had a big front yard behind the concrete front walls. Anko marveled at the house's front exterior with awe. "Woah…that house looks cool. Is that yours?"

"Yes." Roxas nodded positively. "This is my family's home."

He then entered the front yard through the metal front gate, closed it, and went to the wooden front door, knocking on it.

Anko then turned on his invisibility mode.

Inside the house, a woman with black hair and a regular body was doing her teacher's work when she heard the knock from the front door. She was Roxas' mother, Rosario. So, curious that someone was knocking at her door at this hour, she stood up and went to open it, only to be surprised that Roxas had come home suddenly without announcement. "Oh, Roxas!" she said to him. "Anak, umuwi ka nang bigla!"

"Yes, ma," replied Roxas back positively. "I'm home na po."

Roxas then went in with his belongings, and Rosario closed the door and locked in.

In the living room, Rosario gave her son a glass of water and some biscuits. "Here, have some snacks po, anak." Accepting them, Roxas responded back, "Yes, Salamat po." The student then opened one of the packs and took the first biscuit from it, eating it. Sitting down on the sofa next to him, his mother asked, "Why didn't you tell us that you'll arrive ngayong araw?"

"Surprise ko iyan, eh," responded Roxas back while sipping on his glass of water.

"You should at least tell us when you'll arrive, so we'll know and meet up with you at the airport."

 "Yeah, but still, ma."

On one of the shelves of one of the two bookshelves at one side of the big, simple living room stood a few picture frames sealing and safeguarding the photos of Roxas and his family. Roxas' father is Ricardo Nietes, a businessman who owns a grocery store and a duck and chicken farm. His mother is Rosario Agbayani, a teacher at a local high school in their barangay. Roxas' 3 siblings are Kristina, George, and Kayne. Kristina is the eldest while Kayne is the youngest. Roxas was the third oldest of 4 siblings. Anko gazed at the framed photos while wondering about the family.
