Sword Arts Online: Darkness

What if the creator of Sword Arts Online had controlled Kirito and his friends, turning them into evil, and brought the game into the real world, turning it into a giant game world? Well, this is the situation where our ordinary protagonist Roxas Nietes, or Spark78Reformed, as his player username, had found himself. Being a foreign high school student living in Japan with his friends in a shared house owned by his school would make his life there difficult, but his intelligence on basically anything instead made him prepared and an actionist. He was an ambivert who loved music, art, writing, picture taking, philosophizing, and best of all, making scenarios of all kinds in his mind. So, the day before SAO was brought into the real world, Roxas had unknowingly received a mysterious-looking email from a player named Anko Tachibana, who was a deceased player. That email is a request for help because he, who knew Kirito and his friends before, wants someone to help them, who are now known as the Elite Players, snap from their state of being brainwashed by the game. Roxas accepted it after some thinking, but there’s one condition: he will be Anko’s vessel because Anko is now a spirit after his death in the game. To be free from Anko’s ghostly possession, he needed to complete the task in any way he could. Now that he was Anko’s vessel, what would Roxas do to do this big and seemingly impossible mission? Well, he will use his intelligence, ambivert personality, and scenario-making mindset to do it, plus action. That combination sounds ridiculous and unorthodox, but for him, it will be a good one. So, join him, Anko, and their friends in a now-altered reality fighting monsters and bosses across Aincrad-ridded Japan and getting into the Tower while trying to get Kirito and his friends out of their brainwashed state. But the dark side of Sword Art Online was slowly revealed as Roxas and his friends went deeper and deeper for their mission through their spirit guardians. One of them was the origins of Eugeo and Alice (This was what if Eugeo and Alice were once humans who were killed and were forced to be bots in the games?) Chapter 7 – An Email of Request

Roxas' POV

Later at night, at 6:24 p.m., I was in my room cleaning up my email box on my laptop. The evening was quiet and nice. Then, after I deleted some junk emails, I stumbled upon a mysterious-looking email from someone called Anko Tachibana. Although I don't know who that person was, I read his email.

It says,

 "Dear random someone,

Please, I need your help. I am not going to live any time soon. This game I was playing was going out of control. My friends, Kirito and his friends, are not what they are now. They're now chaotic and evil.

Ugh…I had no time to continue writing this message. I had to go back to the game. So please, help me. Help me bring them back to their senses and also, defeat the Tower, too. SOS! Anyone?"

After that, I was stunned and surprised to read all that.

And so, I began to think about it and analyze its possible pros and cons, benefits and downsides, and dangers and wonders.

Then, out of kindness, I decided to accept it.

So, I wrote an email reply that says, "Yes, I hereby accepted your request. You can count on me. I'll do my best to help you and them.

 Your respondent,

 Roxas Nietes."

After writing that partially formal reply email, I pressed Sent, sending it literally.

And then, nothing happened, and no reply from that person was sent back to me.

Suddenly, a flash of light flashed before me, blinding me out.

"Ah! My eyes!" I shouted as I covered my eyes with my hands.

"What in the…?"

After a few seconds, the flashing light subsided, and I removed my hands from my eyes and opened my eyes, seeing that the screen of my laptop is now back to normal. At this point, I was confused by what that light was doing to me. I hypothesized that my laptop malfunctioned somehow, but I don't know how that happened at all.

And then, as I stood up, the door in my room was opened, and Shuto came in. "Dude, what was that noise from last time?" Upon hearing that, I turned towards him. "Oh, hey there, what noise?"

 "That shouting."

Now I remembered that I was the one who made that noise, and so, I replied back, "Oh, yeah, that one…I did that."

"Why?" Shuto responded back with some confusion.

"I don't why, but I kinda acted on my memory," I replied with a lie.

Shuto was a bit suspicious of my response, but he buys it and said, "Okay then, don't be too loud, okay?"

 "Okay!"

"By the way, dinner is about to be done. Come downstairs."

He then left my room.

"Okay, I'll be there," I responded back, before looking at my laptop on my desk.

"Yeah…I had no idea what was that…" my mind said to me.

I then went downstairs to present at the dining table early before dinner was done being cooked.

Third person POV

Later that night, at 10:27 p.m., while Roxas was sleeping peacefully in his dark room, a spirit entered the room and observed the young man sleeping. Then, without saying anything, the spirit of a young man entered Roxas and took possession of his body. And then, now inside of Roxas' subconscious, the young teenage boy made his knowledge and digging into his identity by looking into his galleries of memories, swiping between tiles of memories like high tech holograms. "Oh…so that's his name and background and where he came from…"
