Sword Arts Online: Darkness

What if the creator of Sword Arts Online had controlled Kirito and his friends, turning them into evil, and brought the game into the real world, turning it into a giant game world? Well, this is the situation where our ordinary protagonist Roxas Nietes, or Rohasu Nitama as his player name, had found himself. Being a foreign high school student living in Japan with his friends in a shared house owned by his school would make his life there difficult, but his intelligence on basically anything instead made him prepared and an actionist. He was an ambivert who loved music, art, writing, picture taking, philosophizing, and best of all, making scenarios of all kinds in his mind. So, the day before SAO was brought into the real world, Roxas had unknowingly received a mysterious-looking email from a player named Anko Tachibana, who was a deceased player. That email is a request for help because he, who knew Kirito and his friends before, wants someone to help them, who are now known as the Elite Players, snap from their state of being brainwashed by the game. Roxas accepted it after some thinking, but there’s one condition: he will be Anko’s vessel because Anko is now a spirit after his death in the game. To be free from Anko’s ghostly possession, he needed to complete the task in any way he could. Now that he was Anko’s vessel, what would Roxas do to do this big and seemingly impossible mission? Well, he will use his intelligence, ambivert personality, and scenario-making mindset to do it, plus action. That combination sounds ridiculous and unorthodox, but for him, it will be a good one. So, join him, Anko, and their friends in a now-altered reality fighting monsters and bosses across Aincrad-ridded Japan and getting into the Tower while trying to get Kirito and his friends out of their brainwashed state. But the dark side of Sword Art Online was slowly revealed as Roxas and his friends went deeper and deeper for their mission through their spirit guardians. One of them was the origins of Eugeo and Alice (This was what if Eugeo and Alice were once humans who were killed and were forced to be bots in the games?) Chapter 64 - A Quest for a Template Ticket Home

Third person POV

But later after breakfast, in his room, Roxas was booking a flight for tomorrow. His route was from Tokyo to Iloilo City via either Manila, Cebu City or Legazpi City. The airline of his choice is Bicol Air. But Roxas couldn't book a flight when the system screen appeared and informed him that he needed a Template Ticket for that. "What?" Roxas was shocked.

Anko was shocked, wanting to see his vessel's home country.

The system confirmed it and responded that Roxas needed to do at least one quest and complete it to get one.

The perk of it is that he didn't need to pay for the ticket itself.

Other perks of the Template ticket are that it can be customized by what time, length of time until the return trip, airline, destination, and even flight schedule and plane seat class of the flight.

Seeing the perks of having one and needing one to leave the country, Roxas eventually accepted it, closing his laptop and standing up from his chair. "Let's do a quest to get that Template Ticket!"

"We have to go on a quest?" Anko asked him.

"Yes, we have to get that beneficial Template Ticket so we could leave for the Philippines," responded his vessel.

 "Ah…okay…"

With that, both of them left the room and went downstairs. There the pair informed their friends about the Template Ticket and how to acquire one. Shuto and the others were very surprised to hear that.

 "What?"

 "A quest for one?"

Roxas then nodded. "Yes, and I want one so Anko and I could travel to the Philippines."

Because of this and believing that it was true, Minato said to them, "Okay, if that's the case, then we'll help you with that?"

"Really?" Roxas and Anko responded at the same time while being surprised.

"Yes, let's do that before we could leave," Shuto replied back. "Is that okay?"

Roxas and Anko then accepted it.

And so, all of them went to the Adventurers' Guild to get a quest to acquire the Template Ticket for Roxas. There the Nitama Group got one that tasked them to clear a forest outside of the Tokyo Metropolitan Area. The party accepted it and went there by train. At the forest place northwest of the Metropolitan Area, the party encountered many monsters that roamed the area. Determined to finish the job for Roxas' special item, the party beat and defeated the monsters with all their strength, power, and current abilities. Roxas and his friends are in synchronizing mode with their spirit guardians, fighting the beasts with their weapons. And so, by noon, the Nitama Group had cleared the forest, completing the quest and giving them XP in their current levels. Roxas, while fighting the monsters, had his mind in musical mode, boosting his stats until the end of the fight. The party was given the Template Ticket by the system, and Shuto gave it to Roxas. "Here, you earned it."
