Gabriel snorted mockingly at Michael to hurt his pride. Lavender was his favorite daughter, but Gabriel screwed up with her by making her pregnant. At first, he might have love for her, but when he found out that her father was the cause of the destruction of his family, his angered destroyed everything.

Although, Gabriel did not involve with his dad's business. Yet, Gabriel would always support his father. He was being a humble mechanic at first that made Lavender felt for him. 

The anger made him attracted her to trap with his love. Lavender who never had a boyfriend before was compelling so much about him. She felt so deep to him until the extend of living together. 

During their backstreet love journey, Gabriel did feel that he also had the same affection towards her. There was a moment that he wanted to stop messing around when he found that she was pregnant. He wanted to admit everything but Michael captured him before meeting Lavender on the chapel.
