Break Up

It was eleven degrees in Edinburgh, and the sky was gloomy and rainy, typical Scotland weather most of the time.

The guy sitting in front of me was my ex-boyfriend from five seconds ago. His name is Daniel. He was tall, handsome, and intelligent, and obviously, he was stylish and working as a chef, and his cook was perfect.

He knew how to look good. Daniel was British Spanish, his dad was Spanish, and his mom was British.

So, that is why I fell in love with him at first sight, or I admit, I quickly fell in love with someone.

Who cares? The face is the most important, of course, heart, too. However, he was asking to break up now, and I suck.

He dumped me right now, but his face was still good-looking.

If I knew he would break me up today, I would dress up and wear the prettiest and most sexy dress for the celebration.

Daniel and I have been together for almost three years, and next month will be our anniversary.

I thought he would be the last guy I dated, and the worst thing was I imagined marriage with him and living happily as a married couple.

But this relationship was the end ultimately. I felt lost and wasted my time, money and also energy.

"I'm sorry, Aster," Daniel said to me.

Even so, I don't see any guilty in his apology. He was asking to break up because he had another woman, and he loved her.

"So, how about me ?"

"Is our relationship and love just a joke?"

I was angry, but I couldn't cry at all.

Daniel was just silent while I argued with him.

"So, do I know her?"

"No, she was my first love, and I met her again five months ago."

"You're fucking kidding me!" I can't say anything anymore, and I'm so speechless with his fucking reason.

"I'm sorry, Aster, and I want you to forgive me", said Daniel.

"Listen, Daniel, I won't forgive you, but could you return everything I gift for you?"

"Wha- What ?" Daniel looks terrified.

"Yup, the bag and the watch you wear right now were from me, the present our anniversary two years ago."

"And don't forget you still owed me money for three grand, I want you to return my money, or I will report to the police.

I'm fucking working hard to save all my money!" I speak so aggressively and upset to him.

The first in my mind was, why was I so fucking blind about love, if I could say for my past self. Could you not trust a guy so easily?

Why have you given him expensive things and owe him money? Hey, open your eyes!

I stood for a long time and in front of me was the hideous face of Daniel.

A few minutes ago, he still looked handsome, but for some reason, I felt nauseous seeing his face, and my senses said, why can I like this ugly man?
