Chapter 33 2 a.m. Emergency Call

Shirley intently listened to Dewitt's call. Thinking of the Old Master's instructions, she hurriedly started writing in her notebook.

Dewitt hung up the phone almost instantly, gazing at Shirley with a furrow of his brows.

"What are you writing?"

Shirley quickly tucked away the notebook.

"Just scribbles. I got bored."

Dewitt narrowed his eyes then eyed his Swiss Army watch. It was already 9 PM.

"It's late, you can go."

"Finally! Shirley stood up excitedly. This guy finally let her go!

She took her belongings, a smile on her face as she remembered her mother and son back at home.

After a few steps, she realised something was not right.

"Uh, sir, you're going back to aren't you?" she asked uncertainly.

After all, the Old Master had said she could only go home if Dewitt went back as well, otherwise, she had to keep an eye on him 24-7.

Dewitt raised an eyebrow. "Since when do I have to report my whereabouts to you?"
