Just as he's about to turn back and ask her to leave, Robin leans towards him, intentionally brushing against his side as she walks past.
"Have a wonderful rest of your day," she murmurs, her voice dripping with false sincerity.
Malik pauses, a puzzled expression crossing his face, but he quickly shakes it off and nods. "Thank you. I'll be in touch." With that he turns on his heels, striding towards the elevator.
As soon as the door closes on his face, Robin's smile transforms into a grimace.
"Enjoy your little problem, Malik," she mutters under her breath, pocketing the perfume bottle. "And say hello to Layla for me."
The ache in her chest intensifies, fueled by a burning desire for revenge that has been simmering for far too long.
