Caesar looked murderous. He didn't even look like he was in his right mind at all.
"Caesar, she's gonna die." Roman was panicking. "We have to get her to a hospital. We need-"
"Stay away! Don't you dare come close!" Caesar snarled, his first instinct being to lean in and bite into Adeline's neck, unintentionally marking her again. His body and everything in him pulled him to do this, and he wasn't even sure why.
He would kill anyone who came close, and they knew damn well this man had completely lost his mind in that very moment.
"Caesar…" Adeline mumbled softly, her eyes blinking open a bit to glimpse him. "I feel...I feel really tired," was the last word she said before eventually falling unconscious.
Caesar's heart pounded in actual fear. For the first time in his life, he was frightened beyond what he could comprehend.
