"Just go," Gentry persuaded Grace. "We can't lie to them, it'll leave a mark on their young hearts. They will regard adults' words as unreliable."

"Then why did you agree to their request yesterday?" Grace asked in a defeated tone.

"This is an exception!" Gentry exclaimed. "Who could have foreseen this? No, sis, why don't you want to pick them up?"

"Fine then, go help that friend of yours. I'll fetch the kids."
