Chapter 13: Corpse

It has certainly been a while since my work's been challenging. Or that my heart raced every time I noticed a car riding behind us. I guess you're never too old to try something new.

Miller has been a legend within the organisation for years. It was the crazy scientist story that your friends bugged you with, a boogeyman. But it was never so real, not as it is now.

'You're going towards the city again,' she noticed. She'd just finished telling her story, but I already knew what to do.

I nodded, I could sense the fear in her voice. I realised the danger of that a little too late.

She undid her seatbelt and scrambled towards the backseat. 'We're not going back there!'

Her voice was already changed back into that other woman. When I looked in the mirror, I saw that she'd pressed herself against the back of the car. She wasn't able to escape as I switched on the locks when we entered the car.

'You're not. Sit down.'

'No! Turn around the car, now!'
