In the morning, the bright sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the floor.
On the second floor of Wang Yi's villa, Wang Yi's room was located above, while his parents' bedroom was on the first floor. He lived alone in his spacious second-floor room.
Clothes were scattered everywhere, some of which belonged to a girl, with a few torn garments lying around as well.
Wang Yi opened his eyes, feeling completely refreshed. A warm, soft body was still nestled against him.
Even though they had stayed up late into the early hours of the morning, Wang Yi didn't feel fatigued. The girl beside him, however, was sound asleep, her limbs draped over him like an octopus clinging to his strong physique.
He looked over at her with a soft expression, and as he moved, he heard her mutter sleepily, "No... I can't do more..."
With a quiet chuckle, he gently slipped out of bed and stood by the window, gazing at the bright landscape outside. Glancing back at the girl peacefully sleeping, he thought to himself, It looks like I'll need to give her the spirit essence today to help strengthen her body... or else... He coughed lightly, holding back the thought.
In the excitement of returning home the previous day, Wang Yi had forgotten to give the plant essence to his family. But today, there was still time.
To Wang Yi, his family was always the top priority, so whenever he had something valuable, he would share it with them first.
After taking a cold shower in the second-floor bathroom and changing into some loose workout clothes, Wang Yi made his way to the study. Sitting at his desk, he opened his laptop and began eating the simple breakfast his family had prepared for him.
His parents had already made themselves scarce for the day, leaving the house to give him and the girls some privacy. Wang Yi had a feeling they might not even come back until much later.
"Now that I've checked in with the Extreme Martial Arts Hall and Thunder Martial Arts headquarters, only the remains of ancient civilizations are left..." Wang Yi said to himself as he browsed the internal forums of the Extreme Martial Arts Hall. With his current rank, just below Hong, he had nearly full access to all classified information.
Of course, what interested him most were the ancient civilization ruins.
These ruins held valuable treasures, and as far as Wang Yi was concerned, other powerful people on Earth weren't a threat. With Hong's mastery of "domains" and Thor's "sevenfold strength," Wang Yi felt he had surpassed them all.
He began searching for information on the various ancient ruins scattered across the globe.
The first ancient civilization ruin was discovered deep beneath the ocean near Bermuda in the North Atlantic.
The second ruin was located under Wrangel Island in Russia, containing the shattered remains of an ancient spaceship.
He continued skimming through the list.
Ruin No. 9 was hidden deep within the Amazon jungle of South America and was considered one of the less dangerous sites.
Ruin No. 12 was located in the Pacific Ocean, about 5,100 meters below the surface and housed an enormous spacecraft over 10,000 meters in length.
Ruin No. 31, deep within the Shenlong Frame in Hubei, China, was a massive spherical structure with a diameter of over 800 meters.
As he reviewed the ruins, Wang Yi recalled that Ruin No. 9, in particular, served as a base for the Meteor Star forces to test and select elite members, especially for those with psychic abilities. Martial artists, however, had a much higher fatality rate—around 72%.
"Only Gods of War are permitted entry, but there's no mention of whether planetary-level warriors can enter..." Wang Yi mused.
He believed that planetary-level warriors could indeed enter, and as a psychic, he was confident that he wouldn't face any real danger.
"Dozens of civilization ruins... If I check out one per day, it'll take over a month," he calculated. "But ruins like No. 31 contain a dormant Zerg mother, emitting toxic gases lethal even to planetary-level warriors."
Wang Yi knew he had to be careful. Some ruins were classified as the most dangerous places on Earth, where even cosmic-level beings would perish.
However, he had a secret weapon—his ability to sign in and receive rewards.
As Wang Yi considered his options, he heard the study door creak open. Gao Yurong, fresh from the shower, entered the room wearing a thin, white lace nightdress that accentuated her delicate figure. Her damp hair hung loosely, and a faint blush tinted her cheeks.
"You're here... ah," she started, but before she could finish, Wang Yi playfully pulled her onto his lap, kissing her on the cheek.
"Rude!" she pouted, trying to push him away, her face flushing deeper.
Suddenly, Wang Yi remembered that her clothes from last night had been shredded. "Wait a second... she's not wearing anything under that dress?" he thought.
Startled, Gao Yurong quickly stood up, her face red with embarrassment. She shot him a flustered look before scurrying out of the study.
Wang Yi blinked, amused.
"After all, we've been together for a while now..." he muttered to himself with a smile.
