It is Foolish to Claim as the Strongest

"Your energy had lost its vigor! Once you become my wife, I will teach you how to circulate the energy in your body to enhance your vitality. This is your fortuitous day! You will not regret meeting me!" the scarlet lord announced. He assumed that since the energy in Ye Shin's body was not circulating, it meant that her vitality was too weak.

'What fortuitous day?' Gui Wen exclaimed in his thoughts. This scarlet lord was not only cruel but also shameless!

"You can see the movement of my energy? Then, I tell you that I don't need your teaching. My energy is of the perfect balance between chaos and peace. My vitality is completely fine," Ye Shin responded and directly refused such offer. Her eyes looked around the mansion and finally notice that the red paint on its walls was blood. The building was drenched with blood!

"Is that so? Hihihihi, then, you are perfect to be my wife!" the scarlet lord said and tried to hold her. Ye Shin did not even move nor made an attempt to evade his boldness.

On the other hand, Gui Wen swiftly stepped forward and went in front of Ye Shin to block the man from his advances. He instinctively wanted to protect her.

However, the scarlet lord raised a hand and gestured for Gui Wen to stay out of his way.

A dark force swept to the side and Gui Wen retreated few feet to avoid the attack.

"The rumors are true. The subordinates of the ghost emperor are indeed good at evading attacks but inferior of counter-attacking!" the scarlet lord stated without glancing at Gui Wen who had stood far from him and Ye Shin.

Seeing the situation had already come this far, Gui Wen felt very helpless.

"Ye Shin, run! This man kidnapped many women and forced them to perform dual cultivation so he could enhance his power! He can perform hypnosis! Don't stand in there and run!" Gui Wen urged Ye Shin to escape.

But the lady did not even bat her eyelashes. She was looking at the masked man with an undisturbed expression... completely unaffected by the danger in front of her.

"Hihihihi, you useless subordinate of the useless ghost emperor. You are all useless in my eyes! Pwe! Pwe!" the scarlet lord said emphasizing every 'useless' words he uttered.. He then spat on the side as if he was disgusted to even speak about the emperor.

Ye Shin finally move her head and looked at Gui Wen. Then, she calmly faced the scarlet lord.

"Scarlet lord, is it? We have no personal enmity. I'll give you half incense of time. If you don't scram in front of me, you'll pay this disturbance with your palace," Ye Shin suddenly spoke and looked at the building that was drenched with blood. Her tone was warm but the words were a cold threat.

For an unknown reason, Gui Wen shivered on the side and looked at the lady with a conflicted gaze. How could she still stood there and even dared to threaten this malicious lord! She really did not know how to read the situation... or so he thought?

"Hihihihi... You are different and rare! The women that were previously became my wife had screamed in fear. They begged for their life to be spared! Yet, you actually dare to say threats at me?" the scarlet lord said while looking at Ye Shin with deep interest.

Out of a sudden, the entire ground beneath them slowly turned into a pool of blood. The scene reminded Gui Wen that they were really inside his enchantments and he could control the space around them.

Ye Shin closed her eyes and put her hands on the back. Several tiny golden lights slowly emerged on her side. The golden lights were tiny but it was visible and were rapidly floating towards the mansion and in just a few seconds the entire building collapse.

After the rumbling sound of the establishment, the entire place was engulfed with complete silence.

Since the mansion was destroyed, the enchantment of the scarlet lord was also shattered along with it. Ye Shin looked around and saw that the scenery had returned into the empty alley. But a mansion that had once resembled a palace in her eyes was crumbled on the ground.

Without saying any word, Ye Shin continued to walk as if nothing had happened and Gui Wen absentmindedly followed behind her.

As for the scarlet lord, there was no word that was enough to describe his emotions. He deeply relied in this mansion! Now that it was destroyed, he felt confusion and extreme anger but at the same time, there was fear that started to loom in his heart.

'I overestimated myself! That lady is not as simple as she looks!' he exclaimed in his mind. He blinked a couple of times and looked at the two retreating figures until he lost sight of them.

Not long after, few ghost cultivators started to gather and watch at the abnormality.

This mansion was feared by most ghost cultivators in the entire realm for it contained the enchantment of hypnosis. The scarlet lord would use the blood of his enemy to paint his mansion.

Meanwhile, Ye Shin and Gui Wen were still exploring the place and overheard about the gossips.

"Ye Shin, was it you who destroyed the mansion of the scarlet lord? Or do you have a master that is protecting you secretly?" he carefully asked. He just witnessed something that was beyond his logic. He did saw the tiny golden lights but what were those lights for?

"It was me. But I warned him and he choose not to listen. Gui Wen, in this world, never underestimate your enemy. Most of the strongest people I have encountered looked weak," Ye Shin replied.

"I--- then, in your opinion, do you think that our ghost emperor is strong?" Gui Wen suddenly asked.

"According to him, he was the strongest but if this is true, then the immortal that he had fought should have not destroyed his sword. It is easy to claim that you are the strongest. But in the eyes of the expert, it is foolish," Ye Shin answered.

Gui Wen nodded his head and pondered at her words for a long time. "Your two companions, how strong are they?" he suddenly asked.

"My companions... I have three companions. But you only saw two of them. The giant man is called Jang Ji. The lady is called Hao Fei. Those two are reliable and they have different cultivation techniques. Jang Ji can cleanse the impurity of elements and he possessed brute strength.
